**Frustrating Experience with My BMW 730ld – Avoid This Dealership!**

Six months ago, I purchased a used BMW 730ld from this dealership, and it’s been nothing but headaches. Here’s my story—a warning to anyone considering buying from them.

**The Initial Purchase**
When I first viewed the car, I noticed a steering wheel noise when turning. The dealer assured me, *"No problem, we’ll fix it if you buy the car."* Trusting them, I finalized the deal, and two weeks later, I received the car—seemingly issue-free.

**The Problems Begin**
Just one month later, the steering noise returned, along with a new creaking sound from the suspension. Since the car had a 3-month warranty, I contacted the dealer. Their response? *"Get a diagnostic done at any garage and send us the report."*

I took it to an official BMW dealership, paid **£200** for the diagnostic, and forwarded the results. The dealer provided a courtesy car and kept mine for **two weeks**. When I got it back? **The same noises were still there.** They’d done nothing.

**The Runaround**
Frustrated, I filed a complaint with the finance company. Suddenly, the dealer claimed they *"fixed the car"* but *"didn’t know the issue"* and insisted I bring it back to their garage. After their first *"repair"* attempt failed, I had zero trust in them.

I offered a compromise: **split the £2,000 repair cost (for control arms, battery, and VAT) 50/50**, but they refused. Their only condition? I had to return the car to them—no thanks.

**Taking Matters Into My Own Hands**
Tired of the back-and-forth, I withdrew the complaint (knowing it’d drag on) and paid for repairs myself. So far, I’ve spent **£1,500**, and the car **still** needs:
- **Valve cover gasket** (£500 – oil leak)
- **Oil cooler housing** (£700 + labour)
- **Battery** (£330)
**The Lesson**
**DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.** Every negative review you see is legit. They ignore warranty claims, waste your time, and deliver empty promises. **Always check reviews** before buying—I wish I had. Save yourself the stress and money—go elsewhere.

Would highly recommend this garage staff all really polite and accommodating, especially Tom was really inviting and friendly and made the whole process seamlessly easy.

Would like to say a huge thanks especially to Tom at AutoTrade Southwest, he made our experience of choosing and buying a car excellent. I would highly recommend this company and their team, their knowledge and customer service is excellent. Definitely give them a try if you are looking for a car or van. We will be returning to them for a van/truck in the near future.
Also, would like to say, they aren't the usual 'pushy salesman' and the Audi we purchased is a quality used car.

Lia was really helpful. She allowed me to check out the car. Answered all questions I had, and if she didn’t have an answer straight away, she looked into it and got back to me. She let me test drive the car and wasn’t pushy at all. We have a good conversation and I felt like I wasn’t under any pressure and could have walked away at any time if I had some concerns.

A good range of cars to choose from. Very happy with my purchase and the service I received. Lia went above and beyond to help me from start to finish.

First day of buying a car the engine management light came on, car went into limp mode, warranty cover didn't cover nothing, my local garage found numerous of fault codes so they didn't do a 360 car check. Really poor customer service as they wanted me to drive the car back while in limp mode. After explaining numerous of times they finally collected car to sort issues. When car was fixed I had to collect it myself , when I started car more engine lights come on. Nothing has been sorted or fixed , the car was dirty inside , they had it for a week and been using it. When I asked for my money back under the 14 day cool off period they took a week to agree to it but then excused me of using 500miles in the car and wanted to charge me for it but I didn't even have the car as they did to fix the issues. After weeks of arguing with them they finally paid my money back. Terrible customer service .

I recently purchased a new car and was anxious due to not really knowing what I wanted or what would be best. Lia has been amazing through the whole process, informative throughout each step of the process and really customer centric. I would highly recommend this garage to anyone and will definitely be letting anyone I know who needs a new car to go here. Thanks so much for all your help, I love my new car :)

Spent over £50,000 to buy a Porsche from this car dealership and had an absolute nightmare with the after sales. I had to make 4 trips to them to get issues sorted out that were present months before I purchased the vehicle. Handed my car back in perfect condition, which was verified by a sales member at the time. Only to come back and find scratches and curbed alloys, the dealership refused the take responsibility. The sales person was then aggressive when I stated how bad the customer service had been. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from so called professionals. The cars that are priced cheaply to already have underlying issues. STAY AWAY!!!
