Successful private sale.
Helpful advice re advert, safety selling practises and good information re progress of advertisement.
Secure number system worked perfectly and the prompt advice email, following an enquiry, was very helpful.
The advice re price, which I had thought optimistic, proved accurate.

Bought a car from here and can’t use it
Bought a car from autotrader, couldn’t have been a worse experience.
The first issue was they didn’t turn up on the day it was meant to be delivered.
Then when they turned up there was no green slip, just a promise of a code we could tax it with which didn’t come until the next day.
Once they finally transferred ownership to the DVLA online, they transferred it to someone else. To fix this came with a load of security issues from the DVLA which has blocked us from taxing it for the foreseeable future.
Hard to contact, terrible service and numerous mistakes which could have been avoided. One employee even told us he’d forgotten about us and what we’d asked for, just terrible.
I never make reviews like this but being left without a car has caused us to spend hundreds extra and probably more on Ubers just to get to work and to the shops as our original car broke beyond repair quite suddenly.
Do not use this company if you actually want to drive the car within a week of purchasing it because we are staring down the barrel of having to wait weeks for the DVLA to send us a log book.

Autotrader suggested a price, but knowing I had a few issues with my car I set the sale a bit lower to compensate for the condition. The first person to come for a test drive bought it. I'm happy as is the new owner.

My reasons for one star review
Auto trader are not in line with the respected SMMT
My opinion is also based on talking to EV owners.
A huge part of EV is due to the Mobility scheme which I am aware push Evs to its clients.

Smmt points out Evs get
Government grants
Heavy discounts.
The Government ZEV mandate is failing.
Surely if a product is good.
Why does it need a Government discount.
Auto trader says they current EV sales boast is a temporary " Sugar Rush"
Also what is Auto trader urging Government to stick to the ZEV mandate.
Surely the purpose of Auto trader is to sale cars. Not push the ZEV mandate.
