Easier than expected

I recently purchased a second hand car, found via the AutoTrader website, from a private dealer.

I spent about half a day sifting through various AutoTrader ads for cars, until I found the car I wanted. The car was low priced, and a fantastic car, and I have had it for two months now, and revel in it every day.

If you are prepared to put in a bit of time using AutoTrader, there are bargains there to be found (beware the write-offs and other cars about to die - look for a good MOT history).

I’ve just sold yet another car through AutoTrader, and once again the process was incredibly easy. The platform attracts serious buyers, the listing tools are straightforward, and communication is seamless. My advert gained strong interest almost immediately, and the sale was completed without any stress or wasted time. AutoTrader continues to be the most reliable and effective place to sell a car. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a quick, professional, and hassle‑free experience.

It was really easy to set up the advert and upload the photos. We liked the fact that potential purchasers had to contact us through an Autotrader number/email rather than giving out our details. We posted the ad on 14th August and the car was sold on 18th August. We will definitely use Autotrader again as it felt safe and secure

1st call was a scammer wanting my to scam my bank details. 2nd caller bought the car

straight forward to set up ad.Much of the info required was prefilled by Autotrader simplifying the process

Easy and simple to use

The first two responses to my advert were from scammers. These lowlifes both asked the same questions in the same order so they could have been from the same account. I was asked to take the communication to WhatsApp but refused as I considered the AutoTrader email system to be more secure. Both wanted me to sign up to a website to produce a condition report, another red flag. I deleted the conversations and sold the motorcycle to a genuine buyer at a good price. Another genuine buyer was waiting in the wings if the first guy hadn’t bought it. Overall I was happy with the AutoTrader service.

Worth the advert money as wide reach. It was easy to upload the advert and I got a buyer in good time. Only thing preventing a 5 star is there’s no option to mark a sale as Pending.
