Beware – Fraudulent Charges After Using Your Card

Beware of AUTOSYSTEM SPA. They claim they only need your credit card to check your name, but in reality they steal all your card details. Once you leave the country, they charge you hundreds of euros for insurance you NEVER requested or agreed to.

I had valid insurance through RentalCover via Ryanair and explicitly told them I did not want their insurance. They didn’t care, they charged hundreds of euros without my consent after I had already returned to Spain.

This is deliberate fraud. They lie, manipulate, and have zero ethics or respect for customers. AUTOSYSTEM SPA is not a company you can trust. Avoid them completely, handing over your card is asking to be ripped off.

i will never hire a car again at this…

i will never hire a car again at this company.
the personal is really not friendly and yelling at my wife. i think they have to look for an other job because they are not good for this company. they try to let buy you an extra insurance for a lot of money. they know how to let people bleed. when you bring back the car they are looking under the car and you have to pay for damage. this is for me the first company that is looking under the car. this is probably because i refused the extra insurance.
i am sure that the people after me who hire the car have to pay for the same damage.
after a lot of paperwork i got this money back from my insurance company

Terrible Service

I DO NOT RECOMMEND renting a car from this company. The employees are disrespectful. The employee named "ilham" was completely rude, mocking, and impolite to me. Furthermore, they charge a much higher deposit than other companies (this money is only returned after about 10 days). The car was also delivered dirty and with a serious dent. Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews for this company before renting because they are terrible. The company is truly terrible, and the employees are disrespectful and unhelpful (quite the opposite. They will do everything they can to profit from the customer. I recommend taking plenty of photos and videos of the car when renting). This company operates under two different names: TargetRent and AutoSystem. The customer service desk is the same, and the staff is the same.

Forever

Given that I rent cars all over the world, I must say that the experience was excellent except for the cleanliness of the windshield and the somewhat "hard" power steering (Fiat Panda 1.0, km 70,000). For the rest everything was perfect (shuttle to/from the airport, courtesy and helpfulness of the staff, professionalism, waiting times, cost of insurance coverage, etc etc). Stratospheric price: € 18/day, unbelievable stuff!
So many of the criticisms read are completely unfounded, the result of inexperience in car rental

STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO STAY AWAY

STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO STAY AWAY. I have never seen such a rude staff in my lifetime. When we asked for clarifications they threatened to terminate the contract and turned their back on us. Nil customer service skills. This staff seem very engaged in starting fights for no reason. I have never seen something like this, it was a surreal experience. VERY VERY RUDE AND UNPLEASANT.

200Eur insurance trick

The rental experience in general was good, this review is more about how they are tricking you, into a position where you have no other option.

I was making a booking via DiscoverCars and included full coverage insurance and paid in advance.

But when I was taking over the car, the rental company(AUTOSYSTEM) were insisting that deposit can be charged only by credit card, unfortunately I had none. So they offered me their full insurance instead of the intermediary company, so I can leave 2/3 of the deposit by debit card.

DiscoverCars refunded me the full insurance which I booked in advance, 88Eur. When I returned the car AUTOSYSTEM charged me 286Eur for their full coverage insurance.

So basically they robbed me ~200Eur only because I had only debit card, which they were not accepting.

This was the worst car rental…

This was the worst car rental experience I’ve had—definitely not recommended. They don’t accept American Express, so I had to use my debit card. Obligated to pay for the full insurance, which cost around £300, and they can hold a deposit of up to £1,000 for nearly four weeks.

Scammers

Scammers! If you must use these cowboys, make sure you take a full and detailed video of the car they give you on collection and on return. They charging me £500+ for some non existent damage they can not prove. Despite me having video evidence. I am using my bank to reclaim the excess unproven, unvalidated, fraudulent charges but things could get messy. I'd rather have paid for taxis for the week than use these robbing cowboys again. Avoid at all costs.

This company is a SCAM!!!!!

This company is a SCAM!!!!!

I have rented a car from Noleggio Breve Termine - Autosystem Società di Servizi S.p.A. (Address: Filiale Bergamo: Via Industria, 5 - 24050, Orio al Serio (BG), Phone: +39 0350 742777). I have taken over the rented card on 06/07/27, paid a deposit of 1.000 EUR, they charged it on my Credit.

I received a detailed list of existing damages at handing over. I took back the car out of business hours on 14.07.2024 to Bergamo, and - after checking the car - I was convinced that the car had not more damages than at the handover.

Some days later the rental company sent me an email with an invoice, telling me that they found a major damage around the trunk door. I am sure I did not cause that damage but they took away the amount of EUR 875 from my deposit, and I cannot do anything. I called them and ensured them that I did not do the damage, but they insisted that I have to pay. When I asked them to prove the damage, they sent me a photo without any identification number about a damage that could be on any car.

I read several reviews about this company, and many of them compLain about the same issue.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL, BEWARE OF THEM, CHOOSE ANOTHER RENT-A-CAR PROVIDER, IT'S A SCAM!!!!!

Avoid this rental!

Avoid this rental company. The car rental related with Target Rent charges for fictitious damage. During my trip in Italy, they charged me a high fee even though I returned the car in perfect condition. The scratch was there before the rental and is in the papers. I also have a before and after photo. Despite this, I was charged an 800 euro fee. It's a scam.

Don't expect real help if your car breaks down

This company's rental car broke down while on holiday. They arranged (eventually) to pick up broken car but expect renter to travel hours by taxi to get a replacement (which after a day waiting for information, is not yet confirmed to be available). Main issue (apparently) is responsibility between rental company and recovery company. I think it reasonable to expect a national car rental company to deliver a replacement using their network. They have also not yet agreed to refund rental for day(s) car unavailable or provide compensation for lost holiday time. Find an alternative company if you want quality service. For Autosystem's help, rental is #1969 24/8/22 from Venice. Car was OK until it broke (water pump).
