No refunding deposit

Bought a car from Autobahn on 28/6/25 left a deposit of £250 and went to pick up car on 1/7/25 as agreed on phone with the part exchange we had agreed on. For a reason they didn’t want the part exchange and they cancelled the sale of car . Promised my deposit be in my bank at the end of day not received 1 or 2 July . Rang them won’t pick up phone as can see my number comes.. If purchase a car be careful about leaving a deposit . DONT BUY A CAR FROM HERE

AVOID AVOID!

AVOID AVOID!! i wouldnt even put a star. They told me the mot had been done. However, when i got home the brake light went out. and there was a puncture in the tire plus an oil light kept coming up on the dashboard. The frustrating thing was i couldnt change the tire due to a security nut key which wasnt in the car. When i rang them they told me my warranty was up even though i brought the car a couple of weeks before. Do not trust these people they are money grabbers. The only advice i will give is make sure there is something that says there is warranty before giving them a penny. They are liars. They also lost the V5c form, which i had to pay for myself!! i will be taking legal advice.

AVOIDDDDD!

AVOIDDDDD!! People please read and listen to the bad reviews on here because they are the truth!!!
DO NOT buy from this dodgy company, they sell faulty cars and switch off error codes.

They will refuse to give you back your money when you ask for a refund within a month.
They also don’t send you the log book.
I’m trying to save others from the stress and hassle, please go elsewhere otherwise you will have a long lengthy court case on your hands trying to get your money back from these guys.

Not HPI cleared and will not refund deposit

I wanted to purchase a Renault Kangoo BX56YLV via Autotrader. I paid a £500 deposit over the phone and arranged to pay the balance on delivery (so no direct contact) However before it was delivered I tried to insure it only to find quotes were huge which didn't make sense. Now they advertise all cars are HPI clear but I did one anyway and it is NOT HPI clear it has a mileage discrepancy. So I withdraw from purchase (they had not delivered car at this point even thought they supposed to have done) They agreed they would have to refund me but did not 4 times now they have said sorry it will be done straight away but again nothing .. If they reply to this no doubt they will say I gave them the wrong bank details (they already tried this one) this is a lie. If they don't pay up I will take them to a small claims court which I've used 4 times before and always won.
They have now emailed me to say they will refund me (which is my legal right) but only if I remove my reviews so in answer to that I have added this review
UPDATE
I was forced to take them to the small claims court which I won yet despite a court order to pay me. It took a threat of sending in the beliefs to get them to pay my deposit back but even they they wouldn't pay the court cost
NOTE I tried to put this review on Autotrader but they have not posted it and will not say why so don't trust Autotrader reviews
UPDATE 2 They have now paid my court costs
