Greedy company that provides a very substandard service!
I Needed to reschedule a flight from Exeter to Guernsey, which by the way goes completely the wrong direction for a stopover in Bristol.
I originally paid £135 for ticket but to needed change my flight to a weekend weeks in advance and was charged £100.
Avoid if possible!!!

Worst airline in existence

Without a doubt the worst airline I have ever used. I know this a government airline so they do not care but I hope enough people stop using them that they go bankrupt.

Overbooks every flight possible. Overpriced. Awful service.

Would NEVER use Aurigny again. Would rather swim to guernsey than use them …

Our flight from Guernsey to Southampton was delayed due to bad weather. That was obviously not the airline’s fault. However the situation changed and flights were taking off from Guernsey and landing in Southampton. We were given no information from the ground crew. We asked about changing onto another flight as we were not sure we were going to get home.9 hours later our plane finally took off. During that time we were offered no refreshments, no apology nothing. I tried to claim from them for flight delay, however as they are not under EU rules. They are literally a law unto themselves. I would NEVER use them again!!!

Appalling customer service.

Travelled with Aurigny many times and this is not the first time we have been severely let down by then.
12 hours leftwaiting at Exeter airport for a flight that takes little more than half an hour.
No communication, no information, no apology and no compensation.
I know Guernsey wish to increase tourism and this sort of treatment will not help. We whomever go there again

There is a serious money making racket…

There is a serious money making racket going on at Guernsey airport. I had to pay £40.99 for my correct size cabin bag to go into hold on a 50% full flight and no problem flying from East Midlands! Inconsistency and appalling customer services saying they take 28 days to answer an email. Furious with them.

No competition- high ticket prices - zero customer service

Auringy is simply the only Airline who operates from the UK to Guernsey. Given this, they have no competition and subsequently their prices are extortionate.

Having travelled bi-weekly from MAN-GCI for the last 2 years, I have hardly ever left MAN on time on the outbound route and in recent months I have kept a tally of the hours I have been delayed - this is now in excess of 50+ hours.

I have written to Auringy and asked for thoughts and feedback and I am simply given a stock answer every time (weather, other airports, staffing). Given the total number of hours I have been delayed to date, I politely asked for my complaint to be escalated and I was told that they do not have the resources to respond. They also, will not even apply any good-will gesture despite at any time - even small things such as adding on a bag on free of charge or maybe changing a seat. Everything is chargeable to the customer although when the customer has feedback, they have no ability to investigate and/or respond. I find this shocking.

Auringy simply do what Auringy want to do. There is no competition and therefore hold the monopoly without any thought for the customer. They are states backed, their financial accounts simply change as their reporting methods change depending upon the situation/year/quarter and they cannot strategically forecast. A complete overhaul of their strategic key pillars and future modelling is required in order to tackle the issues they face which they tell me is solely due to resourcing and recruitment challenges on island. I very much doubt this is the only challenge however, the only thing I would like is for an aircraft to leave in line with OTP as per their advertised schedule.

Absolute joke of an airline

Absolute joke of an airline! No competition and extortionate prices. Been trying to organise an hospital appointment in London, originally for 6th Sept. But, they changed it, so had to rebook 45 change fee and higher price. Hospital appointment then changed to friday, rang Aurigny, unhelpful woman stated no you need to pay again both flights 45 pounds each and then the higher price on top, all in all paid £340 for a 30 minute flight to London

Safer to fly Air Putin …..

I have lived in the Channel Islands for several years and maybe become custom to levels of service from aurigny but even I was astonished by the level of sheer incompetence this weekend . To give some substance and content , aurigny is part owned by the states of guernsey so they have a monopoly . There is no choice you have to use them. A 35 min slight with baggage costs 267 pounds which is bordering on robbery . Flights are often delayed and cancelled so you aren’t getting good value . This weekend I was booked on the 6.10 to Gatwick to return home for weekend . On arrival was told they couldn’t check me in as the jet had gone technical and a plane swap resulted with not enough seats . If you hadn’t checked in on line you were left high and dry . The staff member was zero help when I asked him what I could do . I then spoke to a representative who managed to get me on a plane to Bristol first thing . At 12 midnight had a text to say Bristol was cancelled no explanation. Rather than wait to be reseated I managed to boom myself a single date to Gatwick thst evening . This was also cancelled with alternatives being made by ferry to Poole !!! Any other airline would charter in a plane to resolve the situation . The cheapskates at aurigny would rather you walked down to the port and hope you could get a place in a ferry . The last couple of flights have had terrible landings including a go around , the airline is clearly run in a shoe string with poor management and no customer care . Avoid like the plague get the boat. Sad thing is guernsey is a lovely place but the airline is terrible and I’ve flown with aeroflot .. aurigny make aeroflot look like emirates ! As a result of being left high and dry I missed a wedding where I was best man had to get a boat 2 days later and 1000 pounds out of pocket ! And they take 28 days to resolve complaints and compensation.. if I ever see it

Very unreliable

The airline has become very unreliable during 2023 - passengers being bumped, planes canceled and terrible communications with stranded passengers. If possible, use Blue Islands.

Cancellations, delays, bad communication...

It's hard to write a useful review of this dreadful airline while I'm sitting in the airport's departure with our waiting time getting longer and longer.
Try planning your resources (working planes) and communications better in future! You sent an email at 1030pm the night before stating our flight was "oversold", telling us to check in asap (we were asleep) or lose our place. You then emailed us at 3am (still asleep) with our new scheduled flight being in the afternoon. We found out today that our 1030am flight was cancelled, not oversold, and our 230pm flight is now running over two hours late. I had to ask staff in the lounge repeatedly for information on what was really happening.
My suggestions for improvement: don't lie! Communicate better! And be better prepared for bank holiday weekend high travel! This is the second year in a row that my family experience these same cancellations and travel delays on 26 August. That's a pattern.

Dismal

Aurigny Guernsey Airport - one to avoid. We were due to fly to LGW on the 31st July & were delayed overnight by bad weather. Despite clearly knowing that the flight would not be leaving at 6m we were crammed into the departure lounge without information or access to refreshments (the hideously expensive refreshments concession closed hours before) until 9pm. The staff were for the most part complacent, uncommunicative & passive- aggressive. We were given virtually no information * The staff were clearly avoiding any attempt at customer service. We were left without any help in finding a hotel & the airport was closed overnight. The staff were clear about one thing; this was not their problem. A really dismal experiencre

I travel on Aurigny about twice a month. If the weather is bad, as it sometimes is, Aurigny will do their level best to either get you home, no matter how late or else they put you up in a hotel. They don't have to if it is the weather, out of their control.
The jet is very comfy, the ATRs less so.
Airport staff friendly. Great pilots as well.

If I could give a minus zero review it…

If I could give a minus zero review it would be appropriate. This airline should not be in business, it’s appalling, treats paying passengers like dead animals. Flight was cancelled when I got to the airport yesterday, no email to advise and nothing on airline website . Simply told at guernsey airport, your flight is cancelled, we can book you on flight for next day , come back tomorrow. No help offered with accommodation for the night or transport, just hung out to dry . No compassion or humanity. Arrived back next day after incurring taxi fares , food bills and hotel bill to be told there is now a 5 hour delay, no apologies or good vouchers offered, just left to starve at the airport . What business treats people like this ? Still sitting and waiting now , no updates , no one cares. I vow to never use this airline again and advise anyone thinking of it , to think again . Shame on you Aurigny.

My flight that I was really looking…

My flight that I was really looking forward to was cancelled by the airline. No options given for the same day travel and need to pay in order to change the ticket.
Customer service phone line is an absolute joke, I have been in the phone queue for over 3 hours and still waiting. Disappointed is just understatement.

Awful experience

Awful experience. Flight was delayed and ultimately cancelled due to fog (appreciate not their fault) but the way it was managed was abysmal, and this IS their fault. They wouldn’t update us on what’s happening, or issue food vouchers which they are obliged to do. Then the flight is cancelled- Which we all knew would happen apart from them it seems! So I come back the next day only to be told at the gate (after waiting 5 hours due to a delay) that I had actually been offloaded off my flight!!!! Of course, there are then no flights until the next day in the evening. I give up at this point, and then face a huge battle which is ongoing to get my money for the flight back, and expenses. As a state-owned company is this really what you would like us to all to think of Guernsey? Your individual staff seem friendly enough, but your policies they implement need some serious work.
