Was ok however now seems false

Not had any issues with Audible …. All good …. Until now !

Purchased a book and left a honest review like one other as the book is new out…. Reviews were deleted. It now has become apparent the reviews are fake false in order to make you buy, without honest reviews they are being dishonest … 3 stars for in effect false advertising

Rude Customer Service

I have just had the absolute worst customer service experience with a support staff who not only spoke like a robot but also made me feel like an idiot for having asked him questions why my books won't open. His explanations were demeaning and outright rude with a go f&%k yourself tone of voice and attitude. When I asked to speak to another staff member, he hung up.
The issue was that I wanted to Pause the membership for 3 months, but may have erroneously Cancelled it and lost some of my books. It felt like his attitude changed as soon as he opened my account and noticed the material I was reading. his tone of voice went from monotone to something that felt passive aggressive in a span of a split second. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I have never had a worst customer…

I have never had a worst customer service experience than all 3 times I have have to call audible to resolve the same issue. I was being double charged for 7 months. All three reps were unsuccessful in assisting me after discovering there was another user with a different account using my information. I informed them that I am not paying anyone else for nor am I aware of anyone else who had an account that I should be paying for. The first rep denied that I was charged for two even though I had statements indicating otherwise and she ended up hanging up on me. The other rep said that I need to simply remove the card and add a new payment method so no more charges would come out but they can't remove the user..even though it is literally fraud. I removed the card, set up a new payment method and was double charged again. One on my new payment method and the other on the original. Called and spoke to the third rep who said they can't stop payment because I. Didn't. Know. Who. Was. Using. It! It makes no sense! I told them I shouldn't be paying for ANYONE else and they told me I needed to not only give them the name of who set up a different account but also that they needed to talk to them to get approval to remove the account!! I called my credit card company to cancel the account and be reissued a new card. They told me that the merchant (audible) may still have access to charge the new card for the mystery user.. so long story short. If you get hacked they won't help. It is more money in their pockets and you will either be called a liar or you need to track down the fraudulent user yourself and have them call to cancel for you.

Wont let you keep credit paid for

Fail to inform new members that there's a time limit to use their credits before they're removed. I thought my credits were accumulating but when I realized that they weren't I contacted audible and found out that I cant keep all the credits I PAID for. As I was not aware of this, they restored all the credits I paid for but haven't used & allowed me time to use it. BUT before said time expired my credits were once again removed and the next person a Lady Diana I chatted with refused to restore my remaining credits & allow me the time left to use them. Why would anyone spend their hard earned money for nothing?? Time constraints does not always allow for reading. Needless to say Ive cancelled my membership

ZERO STARS-KEEP GETTING CHARGED

Zero stars, they will KEEP CHARGING YOUR ACCOUNT even after you CANCEL it, it is so frustrating because I didn’t even realized I was getting charged like 16 dollars each month for FIVE months that I wasn’t even using it. Very angry, would never recommend trying the free trial, you will keep getting charged.

Rude customer care

I wanted to migrate my books from US audible to Canadian audible so called US audible then said no can’t do you go to Canadian audible. When I connected with the Canadian person they said no you call audible.
This would have been still okay if they were nice to me, both the ladies Samantha from US and some lady from Canada were so rude, I felt so bad after talking to both of them and it was my first chat with a person in the morning. I wish they were a little nicer.

When it works

When it works, it works great but my customer service experience was horrible! She wanted me to call back. Are you kidding me? She wasn’t smart enough to tell me how to do what she was asking because she didn’t tell me I had to log in through a browser because the ap doesn’t have that information. I figured that out after I hung up. Not well trained if that was all I had to do. I solved my own issue. Clarity on purchases is also a huge issue. What it means to get free and then they can take it away? You would think once it is in your library you received it and who cares how long it takes to get to it?

Zero stars!!!
They keep charging your account and make it hell to cancel or contact them. Even after a customer service rep confirmed my cancellation, they charged me AGAIN. And my membership was still set to be charged and renewed every month. The biggest mistake I did was to sign up for the free trial thinking it would be easy to cancel. Do NOT ever fall for this trap. This company is a big scam. I have all the proof to take them to court at this point.

I was given a gift card for 12 months

I was given a gift card for 12 months . After three months I changed email on Amazon account . Audible refused to go or gift card . Then after I complained to BBB , they offered me a 3 months subscription with credits . I never received credits . When I called they denied offering me any credits . They lied, cheated and stole from me .

Dishonest

They offer you a free trial and they just take 10$ from your account without a heads up for a monthly subscription, you can't do that on a free trial, You ask your potential customer first if they want to continue, If they are satisfied, and then leave the ball in your court. They would let you decide if you want a new subscription not assume that you want a paid month.'

I only got 1 credit.. 1 credit to buy another audio book instead having all audio books accessible for 1 month.

Terrible service which i see is the…

Terrible service which i see is the norm. They constantly make it harder to contact them, which you need to do all the time to get them to correct issues that are generated by Audible. They must have become aware of this and instead of fixing anything it's easier to just lock the customer out. I can only hope they lose enough customers to hurt

Very happy with Audible

I was very happy with Audible. Even when I had a problem, the chat was always accessible (I just clicked on "something else" so as not to get a bot) and if the first representative did not know how to help me, he would transfer me to someone else who did.
Somebody wrote here that when you cancel, all the books you bought with credits disappear. That is totally untrue, as once you have paid for a book with a credit it remains in your library even when you cancel.
The reason I cancelled may sound silly, but it's just that having one credit a month and having to decide WHICH book I wanted was too stressful for me. They allow you to listen a few minutes to the audio narrator's voice telling the story, but even so, out of tens of thousands of books out there I always got stressed out when I had to pick out ONE new title.
I love the fact that differently from youtube, the audible story goes on even when I am on waze or whatsapp, making it a pleasant companion on my long drives. Also the fact that it "holds my place" and I continue from where I left off. You can also browse free books and listen to them too, although those won't stay in your library if you opt out. All in all, I really loved Audible and if not for the stress factor, I would have kept my subscription. For 15 dollars a month, it's not that expensive.

Audible used to be a wonderful company

Audible used to be a wonderful company. I recommended them to everyone. I was their biggest cheer leader and have 1400 books through Audible. They must have different corporate owners now. They went from amazing to below average for service. Now they are petty and silly and treat their clients like as worthless.
