False Root Canal??
I went to Aspen Dental when having some minor pain in one of my teeth when biting and chewing. They x-rayed my teeth and explained to me that I had a very large cavity that would require a root canal. They even showed me the x-ray and pointed to something that I could barely see. I was surprised that a tooth that just recently started hurting and had such minor soreness would need a full root canal with sedation, so I scheduled a second opinion appointment at another office. They told me that I did not have a cavity at all, it was simply a piece of food stuck in between my teeth. They were able to remove the food, and my symptoms immediately went away. I will never trust Aspen Dental with my healthcare again.
Feeling violated after aspen dental scam
I scheduled for a regular cleaning. After they did xrays I asked repeatedly if my insurance was covering what they were doing and they said yes. Got put at a sales desk with two quotes for "needed" work. One was $8,000 the other $4, 000.... they also told me that I had periodontal disease and could't get a regular cleaning. I had to pay $300 cash for supposedly what my insurance would not cover. They did the deep clean. Later I looked at the proposed quotes and they had tacked on a $3,000 elective treatment that i didn't need or ask for. Even though I rejected the proposed treatment plans and paid $300 cash to "cover what ins wouldn't " Now I have a bill for $1300 for a tooth cleaning. I actually felt violated when I left there and can't believe in this day and age a business can get away with this. The are definitely scammers! Don't make the costly .istake i did. I also saw another dentist since then and I do NOT have periodontal disease. Apparently they do this to a LOT of people to upsale.
IF you want upfront and honest care
IF you want upfront and honest care, do NOT go to Aspen Dental. Not only did they not review my dental benefits other than a cursory look, but not what had been done and when some things could be done in the future, but did not get prior authorization, so I had to pay for what was declined. That which was declined had just been done less than a year before, and the imaging that was not covered was not due to be covered again until 2027. Had they done what they should have done, and had they informed me before hand, I would NEVER have had the work performed at this time. I felt I was treated like a cow going through the auction pen. They were not personal, and surely did not respect my rights, or personhood. They just wanted to rake in the $$$$. NEVER Again. Even my insurance company told me after I called about what happened to my coverage, that they NEVER recommend Aspen Dental anywhere for obvious reasons. Now I know.
Fraud
Beware they will use your information to apply for loans and credit cards in your name. I would give them a zero if I could. The staff at the Riverside Drive, Macon,GA office used my info to apply for a Care Credit credit card and a $26,000 Loan in my name. This is fraud.
I called the Aspen dental in Ypsilanti…
I went to the Aspen dental in Ypsilanti Michigan the people are friendly enough I have no problem with the people I have a problem with the billing I got upper dentures I'm now wearing a temporary denture which I will have to wear for another year because Aspen dental will not give me an appointment for my impressions for my real dentures until my bill is paid off I have paid the majority of it but 6 months after I got my dentures I got another bill for $298, I'm working with my Medicare advantage program to find out why they didn't pay that and what my legal resources can be but in the meantime I am paying them a monthly fee now so that I can get my impressions done and I can get my real dentures except that they won't let me do it because it has to be paid in full and I refuse to pay it in full until I get it resolved with my advantage plan. Everyone who reads us please remember that they record all of their phone conversations so write down the date and the time and who you spoke to and if need be we can work together and get the Aspen dental shut down in the areas where we're having the most trouble.
Very disappointing experience at Aspen…
Very disappointing experience at Aspen Dental.
I had to ask multiple times for a lead apron with a thyroid cover, and was initially told it wasn’t available—only for them to produce one when I said I would not get xrayed without it. The X-rays were also painful, with equipment that was too large and cutting my mouth until I told them to stop, they then offered a smaller plate.
Then I was told I needed a deep scaling and multiple crowns, which completely contradicted a recent exam I had just six months ago. It all felt inconsistent and more focused on upselling than actual care.
I ended up leaving and would not recommend based on this experience.
Palm Harbor FL Manager RENAE needs…
Palm Harbor FL Manager RENAE needs customer service training. I drove 45 minutes for a cleaning appointment and pick up my moto trays… I walked out with my trays because of crazy the office manage RENAE acted. She yelled and screamed at me infront of her staff because I questioned my benefits. Seriously , she needs a different job that has nothing to do with people. If this how she talks to paying customers, I would hate to see how she talks to her enemies.

I was lied to and mislead about pricing.
i wasnt told about procedures being done to me. I was given extra novocaine, because they were seeing patients in between me. They used a dental mirror as a retractor, & they can but not aggressively and thats why I got an infection in jaw and had to go to the er. On top of the infection of the 2 teeth he had pulled two weeks prior which also had infection I now had one in my jaw.. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE @ i wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. I was never given any after care instructions either. When I reported it the unprofessional person i spoke with hung up on me.

Wouldn't go here unless you want to pay for the rest of your life. They will give you one price, then after you agree they will charge you for every visit even after said price has been paid!!
Save your teeth Aspen Dental won't

I went to the Aspen Dental in Florida City
I went to the Aspen Dental in Florida City, first the receptionist was great and very helpful with my insurance, i had to have two teeth extracted and Dr. Yare insured me there would be no pain at all and that is exactly how it was, 10 minutes later both teeth were out and i almost didnt realize they had started. Maria her assistant was more than helpful making sure i was comfortable with the procedure. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Yare, kind, courteous, kept me informed about what she was doing. I drove 30 miles to get there and would have driven 300 if necessary just to see Dr. Yare, i am customer for life now. Thank you Dr. Yare and your whole staff i appreciate all of you.
I received a call two days before my…
I received a call two days before my scheduled dental appointment, asking the same questions I had been asked when I initially scheduled it weeks ago. I have several dental issues that need attention, including a crown adjustment. During the discussion, I was informed that the dentist would charge me the full amount for adjusting my crown, as if it were a new one. I was told the dentist would need to remove my crown. You do not need to remove a crown to do an adjustment. A new crown is 1,500- 2,000 dollars so that amount for an adjustment is outrageous!!! They highly recommended that I visit the dentist who had placed the crown on me. This was the first time I had ever heard such a recommendation.
I believe that whoever scheduled the appointments should have informed me or the office well in advance, at least more than two days before the appointment.
Happy that I used Aspen on Hall rd
Happy that I used Aspen on Hall rd. and Hayes. Fantastic place after years years of neglect. I was hit in the mouth by a baseball 49 years ago. I neglected my mouth for decades afterwards, it hurt everyday....finally I gave up, went to Aspen found Dr. Donovan Semma! I cannot express how happy I am now! Great place, staff, and procedures! It took 9 days from start to finish. Absolutely Happy!!!!
My significant other had an emergency…
My significant other had an emergency walk in with Aspen dental they packed her tooth and rescheduled her the next week for an appointment.
Following suit I called for a cleaning. They got me right in staff was cordial and seem knowledgeable. Until it came time for scheduling they were able to get me in the very next day. At a price of over two grand and $200 out of pocket. I've never had to pay out of pocket for a cleaning before I find that this was unusual being that I have some of the best insurance as a New York State worker.
They tried to justify this by saying that I had periodontal disease which I do not!
Before my significant other could return the next week for the appointment for the chip tooth that they packed.
She had to go to the emergency room only to find out that she had a tooth infection which was not diagnosed by Aspen dental. But yet still they packed and infected tooth. I was not happy to hear the treatment that she received after the diagnosis.
Dealing with Aspen dental is like going to a fast food restaurant or drive-thru!

This company refuses service because I have insurance that brings the in house financing to $25 below the criteria they will finance. I have been refused service because I cannot pay $175 for a tooth extraction and no one gives a damn about how much pain I am in.
I make $270 a week and have a monthly mortgage of $683 a month. $175 is 2/3 of what I make per week.
Worth the timeThis is unsolicited review of Aspen Dental, Spokane Valley, WA Indiana Ave office. and investment
Worth the time and investment. The Entire staff is great to work with. I totally recommend this office and staff.
I had several teeth extracted. The Doctor was excellent, upfront and honest about what to expect. The extractions went quick with little or no pain. Been working through the permanent upper plate. It has taken three visits to ensure the proper fit and look. Great work. dental assistants were top notch.
Doctor 5-star rating. Offered deals to get the best results and work with my budget.
Staff 5-star. Always upbeat and helpful.
Office always clean.
The people are so friendly and helpful
The people are so friendly and helpful, the dentist is so normal and he did his best to give me the best dentures he could. I am so glad I chose these folks and I would highly recommend you choose them too.
Worst dental provider ever
I feel I was pressured to sign up for 13k in dental work and they have already charged my care credit card the entire amount before I had all the work done. They scare you with your health and preasure you to sign. I think they are extremely high priced and high pressure.
I went to Aspen Dental Placerville
I went to Aspen Dental Placerville. It could have been 5 stars but it's less than 1 star. I needed a new dentist. I chose this place since it was close and had decent reviews. I show up and I'm like 4 minutes late and they gave me a hard time. Then the person doing the cleaning clearly rushed. She was relatively nice though. Minus 1 star for being made to feel like an inconvenience. Then had tooth ground down to put a temporary crown. The dentist seemed to do it fast but with a precision like no other I've experienced and it was the maybe the best experience I've had at a dentist. The tech guy helping her though moved very fast, tripping on cords rushing, stabbed my lip with a sharp pick thing etc. I let it slide though. Called a few days before my permanent crown appt. saying it's pretty sensitive. They moved up the date to put on permanent crown. +1 star. So still hovering around 4-5 stars. At crown appt. I let them know it was super sensitive. They weren't too worried or just didn't care. Who knows which. They started. I winced. They put topical and said I could get an injection. I toughed it out but it was the most pain I've maybe ever experienced and I've broken a lot of bones so uh yeah... Crown is on and tooth sensitivity seemed to be disregarded. Time for x-ray. They do it and then put it on a little table. Not like a sanitary metal tray or anything. Go back into room as x -ray is separate room. Dentists says do it again. Go back and the guy puts the same thing that was sitting out back in my mouth. I should have spoken up. There were cavicide wipes nearby but its not sanitary to put it down on a random table and then put it back in someones mouth 5 minutes later after it has been sitting out on a random table in a dental office. Anyways. 6 days later. I would have called on Friday. But they're closed Fridays. So would have only been 3 days later. I called and they're like we can't see you rather rudely since they didn't care because on Friday, the day they are closed I received an email that they're permanently closed!!! I called other Aspen clinics nearby (within 2 hours drive) None will take my insurance! Now I have to pay to have a new crown put on by some other dentist and this thing is less than a week old and already I paid like $700+ for all of this. I'm livid. They should not be doing work like this knowing they were going out of business. I now have to report the dentist and will have to consider for the principal of it taking Aspen to small claims court.
HIPAA Violation
I had an appointment with Aspen Dental in Hanover, PA on January 14, 2026. I was not pleased with my experience as it felt like they treated my teeth like a car warranty more than health. They kept offering my their version of Invisalign which I do not need. The doc offered it, I said no. The tech then offered it, I said no. And they wouldn’t let me leave without seeing the office manager who offered it and I said no again. Confirming that I moved dentists and they said there is nothing wrong with the alignment of my teeth (this was my first time with any dentist in 30+ years every mentioning something like this to me before and pushing it on me.
On January 20, 2026, I put in a formal request to have my records released to me (including X-Rays) as well as transferred to my new dentist office.
Shortly after that, the secretary at Aspen Dental, Hanover confirmed she sent my request in.
On March 10, 2026, I called corporate for the status of my records. They said they received my request but it wasn’t processed and that they would process it then and I should receive my records to my email within 5-10 business days.
It is now well over 10 business days and I have still not received my records. According to HIPAA regulations, they are try provide my records to me upon request. It has now been over 2 months since my original request and I have still not received my records and neither has my new dentist. Meaning, they are also not HIPAA compliant.
Seems like they do anything they can to sell whatever people are gullible enough to buy from them and then they trap you there by not sharing your records.
I will also be filing a complaint with the State Dental Board as the HIPAA violation is pretty serious. If they’re violating it in this way, it makes me wonder what other illegal things this company is doing with patient information.
