I've had many PU backed grasses over the years, saw the Pet Premium and thought i'd give it a shot as the price was good, product arrived and i knew straight away the backing was not PU but SBR Latex, PU backing has a more rubbery coating and is signifiantly stiffer than latex, the piece i received you could see the fine, grid-like texture of the woven fabric (the primary backing) showing through the coating, the back also showed small cracks when folded and was easy to fold whereas PU would be quite stiff.
Polyurethane (PU) is applied as a thick, liquid layer that usually fills those gaps entirely, leaving a smooth, monolithic surface that looks like a sheet of solid rubber or plastic. Seller said it was made to their specification but when i asked for a data sheet they sent me theirs over and not the manufacturers.

We are so pleased with our artificial grass I rang on the Tuesday after a bank holiday and spoke to Colin. He gave great advice to help me choose which one was best for our garden. We went with the pet chic 40 mil. It was delivered by the Friday really speedy delivery amazing customer service very happy customers.

The quality of my "Preston 40mm"grass is far superior to any others I have looked at.The colour looks like real grass and it feels lovely under your feet .The delivery was great as I could track the lorry so no need to wait in all day.
