Mold Toxicity. DO NOT RENT HERE!

BBB complaint filed 4/13/21
For the duration of my lease at a Trinity property in Washington State, I was exposed to toxic levels of mold and treated for such, initially misdiagnosed. I was eventually accurately diagnosed and treated for acute respiratory distress, chronic cough and lung infection, changes in cognitive functions and severe fatigue and malaise. These symptoms were a direct result of exposure to toxic molds in my living environment causing Aspergillosis. The treating physician recommended that I vacate the rental unit immediately due to concerning levels of toxic molds, identified on an ImmunoLytics laboratory testing from 8/21/20. Bedroom colonies of mold counts of Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Microsporium and Penicillium exceeded what is safe, as did garage values. There was overt mold growth on porous items within the garage, indicating that water intrusion and moisture levels made the unit unsafe for me to inhabit. Urinary mycotoxin testing completed on 8/24/20 revealed that I was affected by excessively high levels of Ochratoxin A, a mycotoxin produced by Aspergillus species of mold. Aspergillosis is serious and life threatening. For antifungal therapy to be successful, I had to immediately vacate and avoid further exposure to Aspergillus and other toxics molds. It was medically necessary for me to terminate my lease. I was instructed not to return to the Trinity Property rental unit that I vacated under any circumstance, including cleaning and/or a final walk through, due to medical necessity.
In the middle of a pandemic, working as a mental health counselor supporting others, parenting a child whose physical body is developing, I am punished for getting sick in a sick building.
WA state law dictates lease can be terminated without associated fees due to medical necessity.
Seattle Children's Hospital battled Aspergillosis claims for 17 years. They lost and settled.

YOU WILL GET SICK IN THESE BUILDINGS. TRINITY PM DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH AND WELL-BEING. YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY REGRET IT IF YOU RENT FROM TRINITY. THEY REPORTED ME TO COLLECTIONS FOR LEASE BREAKAGE FEES; HOWEVER, I SPENT AROUND $7K IN MEDICAL BILLS AND LOST PERSONAL EFFECTS FORM MOLD INFESTATION AND MY LUNGS ARE NOW COLONIZED WITH MOLD IN PERPETUITY. I WILL NEVER REGAIN THE HEALTH I HAD BEFORE MOVING INTO A TRINITY PROPERTY.
