Our family of 5 had an enjoyable time wandering around the different floors of art and architecture.
Of course not everything was to our taste but meant that we went through some stuff faster than others. We discussed what people liked and did not like as we walked through.
The coloured circle at the top created many photo and creative opportunities. The gift shop was beautiful and had a good range. The cafe was too expensive especially for snacks and the orangery style restaurant looked very nice but confusing how to you for English speakers. The cafe on the roof was open but due to the rain - we did not try it - although we had planned to.
Without a doubt the best art museum in Denmark.
After enjoying the classic section with my family and the kids making their own drawings, we went to see the "Boy" but my kids got scarred for life seeing lifelike figures with severed limbs and other portrayal of gore - without any warning prior. It's bad taste in itself and it makes me wonder why they hired insane people to decide and "decorate" with such heinous motives. In fact, despite my gentle nature I imagined arranging the creators in a similar display due to despicable action of forcing such horror and bad taste on decent people.
SHAME ON YOU AROS.

I visited Aros Museum in Aarhus on a family vacation with my mother and grandmother. I've never seen a security guard so INCREDIBLY RUDE and primitive than the one on duty on the 26th July 2019, around 16:00-17:00.
When we were leaving the museum's reception area and my mother said "Goodbye" to him in broken English, this dude openly laughed in her face! How freaking disrespectful is that?! And this wasn't all, he also talked to my grandmother in an incredibly condescending tone, simply because she didn't understand him when he was talking to her in English.
What kind of a weak loser guy would insult older ladies for fun, just to feel better about himself??? This dude obviously has some very serious problems with his manhood, which clearly impacts his job performance. Such primitive behavior is completely unfit to a famous museum like Aros. If you hire such low-quality employees like this one, that will lower the quality of your service tremendously. If I were you, I would fire this primitive worker immediately, or at least give him a serious warning.
Description of this security guard: middle-aged Danish guy with glasses and long grey hair in a ponytail, medium height, medium weight. He was on duty in the museum's reception area on the 26th July 2019, around 16:00-17:00.
