Dreadful customer support

AOL's help section is incorrect (probably out-of-date) and despite of all the promissing texts on their website, customer support simply does not reply to mail.

Awful Broadband, Useless customer service

Broadband always falls over at busy times.
Its like a pattern - Sunday nights, not a chance.
Any days like xmas, black friday, etc.. - not a chance.

The customer service is foreign call centres on a script - no matter what the problem they will just keep on the script.

Also if you swap from default router, they simply won't help.
Rated worst Broadband by Which? year after year. I know why, because I have the misfortune of using them.

Disgusting customer service

I had been with AOL for many years, I moved house was told my service was frozen and I could pick up where I left off once in my new property. When I called to reconnect AOL had already disconnected me they tried to tie me into a new contract with talk talk and completely went back on what they had said about reconnecting my old service. I made a complaint was told I would receive a reply from a manager, via the call centre agent, in 48 hours as I was not allowed to speak to one directly! No call received and 3 working days after I was supposed to be called back I was left a voicemail telling me if I didn't make contact with them they would disconnect me, which they already had! Very very poor attitude and genuinely not interested in my issue. I spent over an hour calling from a mobile as my calls were through AOL as well as my broadband. So now I'm out of pocket from the call and because I will never use AOL or talk talk again I have to use a more expensive provider. Not happy at all!

THEIVES AND LIARS

1 year ago we received a final demand letter from aol for an account, at a previous address, closed 3 YEARS previously due to moving house. When challenged, the call center person couldn't give any details about the lack of communication from them for such a long time about this supposed debt. We told them we could prove that they had been payed via our bank statement. We didn't hear from them again.
This year we had a letter from a debt collection agency demanding payment of a debt sold to another company BY AOL. When we contacted the debt company they told us that it was for an account from 4 YEARS AGO. After much discussion and confusion it turned out that it was apparently for an account at our new address. We have never had an account with aol at this address. The collection agency advised us to contact aol. Aol are adment that we had a account despite the fact that we can prove we were with another company the entire time. We made an enquiry to them, after moving in, about Internet connection and we think this is what all of this comes from. Quite how it came to this I don't know. If you are already with them , be very careful, keep all communication, forward the emails to another account and demand everything in writing. Aol is now saying they don't know what has happened to our email account (that contains all reference to the account that we did have) that seems to have disappeared. Utterly disgusted and hope the company they sold this "debt" to has better luck than we've had in getting to the bottom of this.

AOL are brilliant

I've recently moved to AOL , and so far i've been so impressed with the service they provide. Never experienced such fast broadband in my life, so much better than any other broadband provider i'v been with.

When i first moved over to AOL, they were all so helpful and set up all my broadband for me, i really appriciated the help.

I've had AOL for over a month now and i've had no problems whatsoever, it's been really fast with no hicups, really really impressed with the internet speed. I like how i can access my e-mails with AOL too, really helpful and makes it easier for me to access them.

I would recommend AOL to anyone who loves fast internet and easy access!

Dreadful communication issues, will dump Aol as soon as I am able.

It would take me way too long to list the incredible ineptitude and dreadful customer care. Let's just say that I have had issues with my broadband performance for some months now and when I contact them I am told incorrect information. They make things up as they go along. I have had to give up as I cannot handle the stress of it.

I have been using Aol for many many years but will never use them again and will advise others not to.

Do not take an aol account!

Verry bad

Have ordered goods from BARRY Simmonds through Aol.uk and have not received my product and the company does not respond to mail.
I had paid through PayPal, so we'll see what they can do.

Is ok

Is ok, but contact being tied too is to long, when you need technical help, you wait too long on the phone and it is an 08 number and that is costly but overall we are happy when we have had a problem.
