Garbage Lifespan Just Over 2 Years*

Garbage Lifespan Just Over 2 Years*

My guess is that most people coming here are to leave AOC low ratings because they have had an issue with their poor quality monitors.

For anyone checking reviews, pre-purchase, please reconsider and pay a bit more and go for a better brand.

My personal experience was that I purchased two of their 27E1H, 27" LCD monitors for a dual screen setup.

After a few months, one monitor started showing about 10mm or flickering lines at the bottom of the screen.

Contacted AOC support who after making me jump through a load of hoops, reluctantly replaced it.

A few months later another one of the monitors developed the same issue (not sure if it was the replacement or the other original monitor), which I never bothered getting replaced after the first experience, figuring I could put up with it as long as it didn't get worse. Some time later the third of these monitors started doing the same, but again left it as I couldn't be wasting time with AOC support as long as it never got worse.

Anyhow after about 3 years from the original purchase (just over 2 years* for the replacement), one of them did get worse and the flickering lines started to go further up the screen to the top, the colours would go all washed out and finally the screen would freeze.

Turning off and back on, the screen would start off OK again and the same would happen again.

At this point, it's obvious that that particular model must have had an inherent fault baked into the monitor from manufacture, but Stuart at AOC UK couldn't GAS and closed my ticket after saying an out of warranty repair could be done which would be far in excess of the original cost of the monitor.

Didn't even concede that THREE monitors with the same issue owned by the same customer may have had a QC issue from the factory.

Bought two new ones from another manufacturer and perfect!

Needless to say, I'll never purchase anything from AOC ever again and I suggest that if anyone is considering AOC, do some research and just check the reviews on Trust Pilot and then make your mind up.

Disgraceful customer service.

Disgraceful customer service.
Monitor stopped working less than 3 months after purchase. Was offered 2 replacement different monitors as an alternative, rejected both as the spec was not as good as my original model. Now told (after chasing) that i will get a replacement monitor but they cant tell me if one if in the country, or how long it will take to get to me. I will just receive an update, when i get one - could be months. This was bought for my sons exams, and now he wont have a screen. The don't offer refunds!! I will never buy an AOC product again.

Terrible support and warranty

After two years, the monitor began to show stripes. Local support responded and took the monitor. After the test, they said that the electronic unit was broken, but they do not know when they can change it. They offered to replace an old used monitor with worse characteristics. I refused.
Half a year has passed, I still don’t have a monitor, that is, when buying an AOC monitor, you pay a two-year rent at best.

Customer support not working

Bought a 300€ monitor a year ago (in theory I have 39 months warranty); now the monitor starts showing some faint horizontal lines for no reason.
When I try to contact the support the website keeps showing this message "Error: Session expired or invalid". I've tried with 3 different browsers, and tried submitting the case more than 5 times in each of them.

That is their customer support, make it show an error message so they don't have to deal with it.

Nonsense customer service to avoid backing one's products.

I am getting a similar non existent nonsense customer service experience as others are reporting. The service agent who asks me a question and for a picture of the monitor only resends the same questions I just answered and asks for photos again after I already have sent them. I think it must be someone using a response template who does not understand english. Learned my lesson to avoid AOC products.

Horrible service

Horrible service. I Have an AOC AGON monitor that started showing horizontal lines when cold. That is a well known issue with the samsung panel model this monitor has. Their support sent me a replacement monitor (refurbished) which has absolutely abysmal picture quality. The monitor is basically useless, as it has darker areas near edges which are very visible. The difference against the old monitor is like night and day. I sent clear evidence to them showing the issue, but AOC thinks it's fine and closed the ticket. They even censored my comment from their Facebook page. Get a monitor from some other brand who can handle their guarantee professionally.

32” HDMI monitor

AOC MONITORS
32” HDMI monitor - Q3279VWF.
From day one it dropped out about once a week, but only for a split second here & there.
I could manage with that – at the beginning.
As time went on it got worse and worse – then sometimes it didn’t do it for a couple of weeks or so. One week drove me mad though, when it spent more time off, than on. It doesn’t ‘die’, as all the lights stay on, except the screen.
In the end I thought I’d contact AOC about it, but because it was just out of their illegal 12 warranty, they wouldn’t have anything to do with it – citing that warranty. I explained that in a Court of Law, a 12m warranty means pretty well nothing, as certain items are deemed to last a certain length of time: eg, a £2000 cooker might have a 12m warranty, but in Law, a decent cooker should have a life of about five years or so.
However, because I’m a disabled pensioner, I can’t afford to take them to Court.

When I went on a forum, I wasn’t surprised to see that hundreds of people have similar experiences with AOC

All I’m saying is that AOC products have limited (very) life and the customer support is obscenely evil.

We will never buy AOC items again, and pretty much tell everyone we meet to do likewise.

Trash lifespan/stability, great colors.

I do not recommend monitors by AOC at all. While the clarity and colors are crisp and clean, their lifespan and stability are a different story. The first AOC monitor I got was a glitchy broken mess straight out of the box and the 2nd AOC monitor I got as a replacement (same model) only lasted for about 2 and a half - 3 years. Monitors should last on average 10 years or longer.
I suggest getting a monitor from a more reputable brand instead.

Good company with great service

There is a whole lot of negative reviews on here, which caught me by surprise. I bought an AOC Q27G2U like 3 years ago. After 2 years of using the monitor, which is amazing quality and especially for the price in my opinion, a line of dead pixels had formed on the bottom right of my screen. Sent an email directly to AOC and told them I had tried different cables, different PC's but the line would not dissapear. They responded to me the same day, telling me that the monitor seemed to be defect and that they would send me a new one. Within a week the new one arrived, in exchange for the broken monitor. All free of postage costs as well. I've only had great experiences with the company as well as their products. I will continue to buy from them, despite the bad reviews on here.

Don't buy AOC, you will regret it

The amount of negative reviews is absolutely stunning.
My AOC monitor (worth 500 Euro's) didn't work anymore after two years. Gladly I could send the monitor for free to AOC's repair center in the Netherlands. Apperantly the monitor was received physicially broken with the screen completely cracked. I got the message this was my fault and that they could not help me further. And that was it.
The servicedesk of AOC, named TPV-Tech could also not give me a telephone number of the headquarters in Amsterdam. The telephone number I found on the company profile of Google is out of service. The telephone number of TPV-Tech is out of service. TP Vision, working together with AOC is in the same building as AOC, and you can already guess: telephone is out of service.
It seems that AOC International BV has done it's upmost best to make sure no customer can connect to anybody. They also don't have a formal customer complaint procedure. The Dutch authority for Consumer markets (ACM) and the national organisation for consumers (Consumentenbond) have been informed already.

Never AOC again!

Useless support.

I am reviewing the support I got from AOC. Utterly useless. I got at least 3-4 emails saying they will look into my case in 48hrs. Each email of course prolonged the response time. I had to send the purchase proof and screenshots of the problem twice after waiting 9 days for someone to actually respond to me and still didn't get the problem solved. Monitor swiftly returned. Stay away from this company - go for proper brands like Dell or BenQ. Best thing is I now got an email to send them a feedback - well the email was from a "no reply" catchall without a link to provide feedback. What a shambles.

Absolutely a useless company and from my experience producing sub standard monitors.
My monitor has horizontal lines covering one sixth of the screen. I am trying to get repair with AOC 3 year warranty, as this is a hardware defect. They told me to go back to Amazon supplier, and now Amazon supplier is telling me to deal with AOC direct.

Bought a q32e2wg5b which

Bought a q32e2wg5b which, after three months, developed an issue where horizontal pixels took several minutes to update. AOC blamed me for "Leaving the monitor on for too long" and that it had caused "screen burn" which was my fault.

After several emails patronising me with utterly incorrect assertions, AOC finally said that they'd collect the monitor, but couldn't pledge to fix or even RETURN it to me. After telling them to kick rocks, I opened up the screen and found parts of what appeared to be a dead insect jammed in the inside where it couldn't have gotten in post-manufacture. a short clean of the internal connectors with alcohol resolved the issue.

AOC can and DO sell monitors that would fail QA checks with other manufacturers, and in my case are happy to blame you for it.

Oh, and even better, the type of screen burn they blamed me for causing, does NOT affect this panel type. (IPS).

I bought a CU34P2A monitor because I needed a monitor that I could connect to my computer with a USB cable, but the so called USB hub is completely useless. Apparently you can only connect with HDMI or DP, not a USB cable. Why would anyone put a USB hub on a monitor if it can't be used for connecting a computer to that monitor? Please be more clear in your product information, especially about essentials like input options, please.

USB C monitor useless after windows update AOC will not provide a solution

I have a usb c monitor an it was working fine until a windows update. The customer support for AOC is terrible. First they take weeks to reply and the last reply was absurd, they told me to plug the monitor to another machine! It took over 4 weeks to get this reply! save yourself the hassle to deal with this company. Never buy AOC products again.

I bought AOC Q3279VWF display and after a few month noticed dark vertical line and they grew in size after 2 years of use. Send it to service center and waited for month till they told me that they didn't find any problem and they won't return me money or give a new one. Ridiculous. And now looking at reviews I see that this problem with dark vertical lines occurs way too often with AOC displays. Trash

I called the toll free customer service number, seems to only have 1 single person working who didn't know a thing so when the driver wouldn't install he clocked out and all future attempts to get someone on the line failed. Certainly not a well thought out product either as it relies solely on operating thru usb-c with drivers
