Damaged my car and won’t take responsibility

Left my car here for timing belt change on the 22nd November. When I picked up my car I seen it was damaged by them, they keep insisting they didn’t do it and were really rude. I’m so annoyed I didn’t have a dash cam. Stay well clear from this place horrible people.

Avoid this place rude and unprofessional

Had an issue with my rear light which every place I went to said I needed a new rear light as the seal was damaged and water was leaking in. Ordered a brand new light and got it fitted by them which they didn’t even do properly. It was installed incorrectly which led to in 4 days water leaking inside the new light. Went back to them to have them sort it out and they are charging me £50 just to have a look at it which is ridiculous as this is their fault from installing it incorrectly. Guy on the call as well was rude and ended the call while I was asking questions about the situation. Best just avoid this place as they’re rude and unprofessional. If they can’t even fit a light properly imagine trusting them with more important parts of your car I could never imagine.

Highly recommended.

An excellent garage that offer an incredibly professional service, coupled with a personal touch.

I've been taking my cars there for over a decade and will continue to do so. So rare to find an honest garage that just want to help.

One of very few garages with ETHOS

In the past this was the place to go, an honest garage where no job was to small and there was courtesy and honesty..
I had been using this garage for years and trusted them with pricing and technical advice.
(This is an update of the original review.
2021>>2024)
Since 2009 things have changed considerably and I feel pretty much since the new ownership the quality of the services and standards steadily declined.

I used to be able to have things fixed here while I was regularly provided with three quotes of different parts and could choose from a few options, in recent few years the communication was rather short and less than polite and on a few occasions I felt there was a breakdown of communication between the front office and the mechanics. Several times mechanics without my knowledge or my permission went through the whole car 'searching' for stuff like wheel locking nuts, although the information about their location was passed on to them prior to every service/MOT and I felt most mechanics I came into contact with did not seem to care about the company's reputation. Seat protectors/covers not being used, dirt left behind, mucky fingerprints on my stuff.
Considering I sometimes need to sit in my car with a full suit on this is not how I expect my car being treated in a garage.
I would like to believe that this kind of experience is not a trend or the new standard everywhere else but my long term experience in the county has not been great......

Dishonest, unprofessional and failed to complete quoted services promised

Ansa Motors Works has been dishonest, unprofessional and failed to deliver “full annual servicing” that was promised.

Ansa Motors Works failed to update BMW digital service and iDrive for the “full servicing” carried on BMW 316i, 2014, model on 20th August 2020 despite booking in advance and giving them nearly a month now to sort it out. Now, they have put their hands up from their responsibilities as they cannot do the BMW digital service and iDrive update and will not reimburse me with the money for these two services to be complete elsewhere. I paid the full quoted amount (£232.86) to release the car from the garage with two outstanding services which I agreed to return when their system is working again. Before making the booking on the phone, I explicitly asked if the digital service update and iDrive services were included in the quoted price and I was assured it was, hence, I went ahead with the booking on 11th August 2020.

Nevertheless, after calling for an update numerous times over the month from Freddy (the mechanic who did the servicing), on 17th September 2020 at 4:07pm, he said BMW is not letting them login still and he does not know if he will be able to do the update anytime soon. Freddy also diligently points out to me that invoice does not say I paid for digital service update/iDrive and therefore I did not pay for that service. Hence, “even if they were able to update and resolve their issue with BMW next week, I would have to pay extra for BMW digital update and iDrive update as these services are offered separately”. Mind you, they already tried to charge me extra when collecting the car by saying “oil price went up” and now lying and denying that these two services were not included in the initial quote. Given that most new car manufacturers/models now have digital service history, why would I not ask to maintain “full-service history” of the vehicle and degrade the value of the car? I asked Freddy if I could speak to the manager, Freddy said the manager is busy and these were the manager’s words too. I requested Freddy to tell him to call me back today as I am dissatisfied with the service/resolution provided. Freddy said he will let the manager know and no one called back the same day. I have no longer trust Freddy or his manager to call me back anytime soon to rectify this dishonesty, wasting everyone’s time and money during a pandemic.

As a new customer at Ansa Motors Works, I feel they been dishonest from the beginning by carefully luring me into booking the full service with them that they knew they could not complete the services they promised. Now I also doubt/question, the quality of the work/services they have carried out on the vehicle, especially, when cross-checking the EuroCarParts websites with parts number to state the part is not compatible with my car model.

I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE doing your business with unprofessional ANSA MOTORS WORKS and going elsewhere. I was relucted going to them in the beginning due to their recent bad Google reviews but approvedgrages.co.uk and goodgaragescheme.com website seemed genuine and had positive reviews generally. HOWEVER, DO NOT BE FOOLED. I will be reporting ANSA MOTORS WORKS to these websites and will never take any of my cars or recommend any friends/relatives to go there in future.
