Absolute idiots

Absolute idiots

There was a leaking drain on the path outside my house, took them over A MONTH to sort it, it simply had a cone next to it for about two weeks, then got dug up and left like that for another two… Talk about water waste… Also extremely disrespectful, screaming and shouting over machinery in order to have a conversation, considering they are working in a residential area with houses all around, little kids and pets including my own, were probably very distressed. I’m pissed.

Anglian water is historically criminal.

Anglian water is historically one of the worst water companies in the country. Conniving, dishonest and manipulative in the extreme. 30 years ago anglian water tried to force smart water meters on the unsuspecting and it soon emerged that anglian water bills doubled. Obviously anglia water was manipulating the meters, and using the smart meter to " adjust" recordings.
Smart meters can have readings changes, altered, by the relevant authority without any input or say so by the customer concerned. And then the customer gets billed.
Anglian water played this game 20 years ago, a game now being played by South west water, as many customers are now discovering. As featured on the news.
We need a major investigation, a criminal investigation into the water companies for fraud and theft, and those individuals within the water companies NEED to be sent to prison.
It's disgusting that citizens have to fight battles when government is silently backing and supporting corporate theft.
It's really repulsive and horrific in extent.

I Request a refund for The Abuse Received From Your Staff ?

I contacted Anglian Water today and requested a water meter. The call handler was intentionally rude asking me the same information twice, asking me how l washed myself. Since he was rude from the start, l didn't want to discuss my personal details with him. I told him l was already asked this when l opened the account, can l arrange a meter installation please. He continued to refuse to talk about installing a meter and insisted l told him how l wash myself. I told him if you didn't record that 9 months ago when l set up the account, then it's clearly not important info to repeat to you again. The arrogant call handler continued to insist l tell him how l wash myself and not try to arrange a meter installation. Highly inappropriate behaviour and worrying sexual harassment from AW call handler, so l put the phone down on him and called back. AW's recorded message while on hold was that l had to respect them. So I'm the one paying over £1000pa for their abusive behaviour towards me? And they have the sheer arrogance to tell me l should be respectful of that?! I maintained a neutral tone through my conversation with the next 2 call handlers, whilst not being abusive l would describe their attitudes as aggressive and unprofessional. All 3 staff had zero customer service skills and no respect for me whose paying their salary. I ended the call by telling the call handler in a neutral tone 'l did not get any customer service today', which led him to escalate his aggression at me further and again, l felt the need to put the phone down on another AW call handler, for their entirely unprofessional behaviour.

A lot of wasted water ( love every drop)

I had a leak on the water meter outside my house. I reported it in July and an engineer came and checked it and I got an estimated repair date of around 30 days. The leak has been now fixed four months from first reporting it. The guys who did the repairs were very efficient and left the site clean and tidy. I would give them five stars.

Poor website, robotic call centres.

I have water, so 3 stars.
2 stars deducted due to poor website and calls “dropping out” on your call centre if my name isn’t given immediately.

First, I’ve just moved into the area.
No customer number. No letter. No way to set up an account.

Website. Email. I want an email address …… not a proforma with all my details before I’ve even seen how you handle my data, who you share it with and why? Considering your owners are major shareholders from Australia, Canada, Abu Dhabi, to name a few, I’d like to know first.

Try calling “helloyourthroughttoanglianwatercanyoustartbygivingmeyourname”

Can you start with taking a breath and a little courtesy!
I have no account - why do you need my full name in your opening line??
How about “how may I help you today?”
Do your call handlers provide their full names?

So I’ll wait. I’ve tried to pay my bill and set up a DD.
You’ve refused to accept payment at this stage.

Blocked shared sewer leaving myself my…

Blocked shared sewer leaving myself my wife and 3 kids , my elderly retired neighbours at the MERCY OF ANGLIAN WATER FOR 4 DAYS . NO TOILET USE AND NO WASHING . We had to resort to driving around to my mothers house and my neighbours used there sons .

The issue is a poorly laid sewer on the public side which causes issues every two years due to scale build up because it is not fully free flowing and when blocked leads to sewage leaking onto my property outside our front door .

Anglian Water took £4.6bn in dividend YET now they have the cheek to say they need to increase all our bills by 30% for infrastructure and to help them stop throwing waist in our rivers!

Money grabbing utility companies have got away with day light robbery and Ofwat and consecutive governments are to blame. Not to mention leaving 3 children under 10 without toilet facilities!!!

Britain is broken

If only everything was that easy

If only everything was that easy
Mark Thomas answered the phone quickly, was polite and couldn't have been more helpful.
If only wish that every call with every utility company was so pleasant.

Anglian water Harrassment

Where do I start .. we have had continuous letters from Wave. Regarding charges. I never even seen them read meters. At any of the 19 units at the property we rented. At the age of 70 we retired from our limited company. But had paid Anglian water up till that. Suddenly new name Wave takes over and the hound and harass me for £101. For which they cannot prove to me the readings. I even wrote to the director. Recorded delivery had no replies.. now still getting threatening letters .. this is now harrassment. And I am taking legal advice. I now want Anglian water to prove to me what these charges are for when I,have already paid Anglian water . Before the business was dissolved on 30th sept 2018.Also as to why at the time we left. None of the other units . Had had any Bill's from them . It appeared I was the only one paying Anglian water. It is clear that Wave have come along heavy handed .. threatening a bit like some small gangsters .. I will be sending my recorded letter again on monday .. explaining they need to read the Harrassment act.. we are now retired pensioners. And this harrassment is affecting our health ..

I find them to be very helpful and knowledgable.

I find them to be very helpful and knowledgable.
I manage thousands of water supplies daily and having the modern things like web portal and chat makes all the difference to us at Inenco, being able to help ourselves on a portal to our billing is invaluable for us. When I do have to contact them they are always knowlwdgeable and helpful. Thanks Paul @ Inenco

Avoid Wave/Anglian Water - badly organised company

Very disorganised company. We paid our bill weeks ago, but they still send us reminders. I phoned and they said they could confirm we had indeed paid and that they would send us a confirmation letter. A week later, we received a Notice of Intended Legal Proceedings! Their phone lines are always busy (probably with other complaints) so I used their online chat. They didn't have any record of my account. They said it was because they had merged and changed their name to Wave, so some accounts were 'misplaced'. So now I don't know where my payment has disappeared to and they are threatening legal action.
I will be be taking this matter to the SPSO.

Stay well away!!!!

I moved into new premises (from one side of the road to the other so hardly any distance) and advised AWB of this at least 3 times. I received an email approximately 1 year later (love their efficiency!!) saying they had completed the move out on one day and a move into a new premises on the following day with the new account number. Fast forward 6 months, without any further correspondence or bills and I receive a bill from another company. I contacted AWB on Tuesday, was promised a return call that day but didn't receive anything. I contacted them again yesterday and they were extremely unhelpful. The new account number they gave me was actually for the new tenant in the old premises! They hadn't any record of us in the new premises apparently! They blamed the cockup on anyone but themselves. Interestingly she asked if I wanted to transfer to them!!!!!! Seriously! Not a chance with the shocking customer service I have received.

Non customer threatened with disconnection by AWB

As I am not a customer this review is a little different. AWB are business water suppliers only so when I received a correctly addressed letter to my home saying "my property was vacant" and that, in the absence of a reply, they may cut the supply off, I contacted them using the reference and details from their letter. I have no business and have no relationship with AWB whatsoever.

What I got in response was an automated email addressed in my name but showing a boarding kennels in Lincolnshire as the account holder, saying how busy they were but that they hoped to reply within 10 working days.

As I have said I'm not a customer but if this is indicative of their efficiency, I'm not sure I'd want to become one and 10 days to reply to a complaint is pretty poor too (and that's assuming they actually do reply, unlike what the previous reviewer has written).

Update 25/10/18. The original complaint to AWB was 6th October. So far no response. I sent a further mail after their own 10 day promise to reply had passed and all I got was a further automatic reply but with a different case number. It will be interesting to see when (if) they ever do reply.

Update 26/10/18. I'm pleased to say that I have now been contacted and that the original letter I wrote about above is being investigated.

This is our water supplier

This is our water supplier. We have tried every method available, letter, phone, website contact us, and they still do not get back to us. We have been trying to get a response to a simple disconnection request since 5th December 2017. They promise to reply within 10 days. Have so far contacted them 7 times, and still no reply. If you try and email known contacts, they reject emails from outside their business. So 11 weeks later, still awaiting a response. I formally complained 23/1/18, and guess what, no reply again.
