I have mostly positive experience with this shop. I placed and order and it was processed very quickly.
The shipping however was not.

When the shipment was delayed about a week I wrote to them, but although the reply came fast, it didn't contain any information about shipping delay. Later I saw on their site the announcement that their warehouse is moving so there will be a delay in ordering and shipping. Although announcement was later when my order, the order apparently still was caught into that moving and also support didn't mention a thing about it. After reading the news I patiently waited for about a month or more after which they completely finished their deeds with warehouse and finally shipped my order.

I don't have any complains about packaging or supporting info. Their support was also responsive and helped me with changing my shipping address.

Their prices also very good, so all in all I would buy again here, I just would like that announcements that affect the orders would come sooner and clearer in future.

Generally speaking, AmiAmi will be the first shop you will encounter in this hobby and that is the case with good reason, they will stock basically everything and ship to pretty much the entire world.

Despite what some reviews here may imply their customer service is actually rather accommodating, they will happily allow you to move items around from order to order, or ask for reduced packaging to save on shipping costs, as well as allow order cancelations without any real issues with the exception of orders you have already been invoiced for.

If you have been invoiced on an order then your options are to pay it within 7 days or be banned, you can message customer service explaining your situation that might make you unable to do so and they have been known to grant extensions but never more than a few additional days, and their ban system operates on a 1 strike and you're out system, failure to pay on an order will result in your Bank details and home address being blacklisted preventing you from ever making a new account with them.

Let's talk shipping delays right now as there appears to be some confusion as to the cause, due to their success in recent years they have needed to move warehouses to accommodate their increased need for product storage.

The issue is they have not ceased trading during this move so people are currently paying for orders and not having them shipped for extended periods of time, if you go looking for it then you will see that depending on what type of shipping you have chosen it will take anywhere between one week and one month for it to ship, whilst this information is available on their website they did not send out any kind of email notification about it so many have been left confused and angry.

With that said this is only temporary until they have properly set up the new warehouse and the industry-standard shipping times they used to have should be back.

TLDR: they have their problems and for the next few months you will likely get a better service elsewhere but once that is over this is a fine reputable service where you will get what you pay for.

Due to how stupid there own system is setup, you will more then likely miss a payment and end up banned.
Instead of allowing customers to pay up front, they'll let you place an order then maybe you'll get notified by email in a years time.

They'll even ban you on Ebay, a place I typical purchase upfront with my payments.

These clowns are happy to lose the customers, and their customer service is pathetic.

Amiami was my favorite website to buy figures, but recently they process paid order are getting slower than slower before.
Because of this situation i starting not recommend to friend and trying to choose other option. Please amiami ,be great again.i dont want my favorite webshop become another scam shop like nippon-yasan.

They require you to pay for your order within 7 days or so once in stock but they will take months to actually ship your order without shame. They say it’s because of x and x reasons which was never mentioned at the time of my order. Complete waste of time. I paid for a fast shipping for a reason, I want my item FAST not in 5 months from now! I will not be back.

Honestly, AmiAmi is a good, reliable site if you're a hardcore consumer of anime/game merch. I mostly use it to buy limited figurines. But keep in mind that they're very strict about stuff like cancellations of orders, especially for pre-orders.
So basically it's perfect, but only if you don't order mindlessly: be sure to have the budget, think before you buy, especially for pre-orders bc you will have to pay them months later when the item is in stock (and only then will they know exactly the shipping costs), so you really have to think ahead wether you'll be able to afford it the month it'll come out.

Despite planning ahead, unexpected life events can happen, and I had to cancel once but they did it immediately without causing any problems. So I guess as long as it's exceptional they're reasonable about it.

Having to wait around 1 month - 2 month for items to be dispatch is just awful and they priorities USA and Asia over the rest of the world for dispatching items, as it seems like they cut their work force because of covid and they don't have the staff to for fill the orders.
I like that they discount items for pre-order but it would be better if they would remove the Japan sales tax.

This company is careless and does not care at all about the customer. I have been buying figures from them for two years, but I have received one that was defective, which they did not check when it was used. When I complain to them with clear photographs, they ask me for more evidence. The case escalated indignantly. to PayPal, which, thank God, helps me, and Amiami suspends my account...

I have used AmiAmi for many of my figure purchases and it has been a good place for me to order. I live in the U.S. so the experience may be different in other countries but the shipping has always been ok. Prices vary depending on weight and size of the things you get. The only protection you get though is usually paper but I don't care about box condition too much so its not a problem for me. Being able to make pre orders and cancel them is the best part about the site to me. You pay when shipping is ready so you have time to make a decision for a pre order. I would recommend to use AmiAmi if you get a few figures at once or get small items like buttons and keychains. I haven't needed support for a serious problem so refer to other reviews for their experience. There are other sites that do free shipping or show the shipping fee immediately if you don't feel comfortable with not knowing what shipping is going cost. Keep in mind to always check other sites because all prices are not equal.

After several years of pre-ordering and ordering from them, I am completely satisfied. Customer service is responsive and flexible. The condition of second-hand figures is well indicated (as long as they are not marked as "C"), and despite some delays in certain deliveries, the customer is always kept informed. Prices remain competitive, and they offer several carriers. Navigation on the site is simple and customer friendly. Since the covid period, it is also possible to cancel pre-orders as long as this is not abusive. I recommend this shop.

Multiple fantastic experiences! I have bought over 11 Pre-Owned figures with Amiami and they were all excellent. I would have never known they were Pre-Owned figures had it not been for their listing description, because once I got them they were sealed and in my eyes, looked Brand New. Their shipping is probably the best I have seen from all merchants, they actually box and weigh your product and get an accurate and refined/unique shipping rate. Some other websites just charge you a flat rate for a specific range of size and weight rather than charge you for the unique weight/size and specific rate of the item being shipped. Their interface is very user-friendly, and you have the option of combining orders within that month; in essence, you can have everything shipped once, versus having to pay shipment for every individual item you bought during that month. Their figures were all carefully packaged and arrived within the timeframe promise, if not earlier. To be honest, the majority of my purchases arrived early. The shipping method I selected was DHL. I look forward to many more purchases with Amiami. I highly recommend this seller! You will find several YouTube videos out there, and Amiami is always at the top of the list. I, myself, after 11 orders can validate and attest how great they are!

Amiami has a great selection of goods, but suffers from extremely poor customer service.

Here are my 2 experiences with amiami.

I ordered a grade-A pre-owned figure (grade A means it was never opened and no visible damage on the outside). The shipping got delayed due to covid in Japan. It wasn't their fault, so I completely understand. The problem was that my figure arrived soaked in water. Basically, water sipped into the box during shipping. Of course, I sent their support team an email regarding this. They replied with a link to my postal service. They told me that since I used EMS, I can visit my local postal service, have the figure inspected, and receive compensation. Yup.

The figure didn't arrive for over a month even though I paid for EMS, and the figure was damaged on arrival. Now I'm told to figure it out by myself. Their attitude infuriated me, but I still kept using amiami.

Recently, I got a payment request, but my credit card wasn't going through, although I've been using it just fine until then. I contacted amiami and the rep just copy and pasted an answer from the FAQ. I asked them if I could change to a different credit card. Then I was told that the only way to change my credit card information is by editing every other orders that I made on amiami. Really? Amiami have to update their store infrastructure because this whole process is unthinkable in 2023.

I asked additional questions and they just ghosted me.

I wonder if their Japanese counter part is anything like their English customer service department.

I really didn't want to write this review since I still think Amiami is the best place to pre-order figures, but they need to improve on satisfying customers.

Absolutely perfect service. Ordered on Saturday and arrived via DHL Express on the following Thursday. Only 5 days from Japan to UK 😀 The packaging is amazing with a very strong box being used and thick layers of protective paper packaging inside. You can tell they have taken great care with how they packed and shipped my order. 100% recommended for all UK buyers

Preordered a league of legends statuette, the release got delayed but I was informed of this, easy payment and fairly fast shipping once the item was released. Came with 0 damage and well packaged, would def order again

Awful company, choose somebody else. They are a dated, moronic, and downright incompetent business that needs to go bankrupt as they’re everything bad you could do crammed into a business.

I have bought most of my figures from Amiami.com for the past 2 years. They have great inventory, which gets updated quite frequently. The items I have gotten have been preowned, but they are in such fantastic condition that they seem more brand new than anything else. I really like the fact that they quote the shipping fee based on the actual product size/weight instead of having a generic shipping flat rate for an item. The figures I have ordered have always been carefully packaged and have always arrived early. I will definitely continue to buy from Amiami.com. I highly recommend them!

I have been using AmiAmi for several years now, and have had no issues up until about a month ago, when a package sent with Air Small Parcel, got damaged during shipping and was directly returned to them, without ever reaching me.
Now, AmiAmi has a policy for returned items, where they offer refund, or they could resent the item.
However, in my case, the returned item, as they claimed, was so damaged that they directly destroyed it.
I would be ok with that if they provided me with a full refund, however, they refunded me with less than 50% of the total price of the package. This was due to the shipping method I chose, and their suggestion was, if I want a full refund to either use DHL(too expensive) or EMS(not available for my country at the time).
As a loyal customer that has spent a lot of money there, I was expecting better support and I've seen comments of people getting full refund/replacements regadless of shipping method, as a one time gesture for the client, so I know they could do this.
I have had lost packages with stores I have had only one purchase made and I have gotten full refund regardless of shipping method as well. I am really dissapointed and frustrated with this experience and will not make any new orders in the future.

I've been a customer at AmiAmi for more than a decade now. From my experience, their customer service varies depending on the agent that you're assigned to.
Some were frustrating to communicate with and not helpful at all. A few were okay. 1 agent (Jammie) has been exceptionally great:
Recently I had to return/exchange an item (S.H.MonsterArts - Shin Godzilla) with a broken part inside the sealed packaging (Most probably manufacturer defect).
The assistance provided was honestly the best after sales service I've experienced shopping online.
At first I thought the return process was going to be complicated, and from the negative comments regarding their customer service floating around the net, I thought most probably AmiAmi won't approve the return/exchange.
Even if they approve it, I kinda expect that they would want me to pay for the return cost.
Not only that the process was made super convenient by Jammie, the replacement item invoice has been adjusted so that I don't have to worry about custom tax too. Also AmiAmi fully covered the return shipping cost.
I've just received the replacement item and really satisfied with it.
Granted I've had some unpleasant experiences with them, but if they keep employing staff like Jammie, I will keep being their customer for a lifetime.

I bought a figure for 2,800 yen. I had a really good experience! I got the air unregistered post, and it got here without taxes which was great :) The post time did take a while as it took a month before it shipped, then 13 days, but i contacted them before they shipped it and the customer service was fast to reply! Also the figure was in used condition, grade B, but i see no flaws what's so ever. <3
