The driver cracked his knuckles and didn't know where he was going, then dropped me off at the wrong place. Unacceptable.

Unlikely to turn up, if they do it will be late. Chance they will cancel your cab altogether.

I'm in the back of the dirtiest taxi I've ever seen! It's that bad that I'll wipe my feet before I step foot on the pavement! I feel harsh writiing this because I've actually got a driver that knows where he is going and didn't ask for a postcode but he needs directions to the nearest car wash TBH. what happened to you amber cars? Your driver always wore shirts and had clean cabs......

This company left me (woman) on my own at midnight and said the time text to me was an estimate for the day and would not be with me for an hour! No help whatsoever - do not live in the area and completely lost. They could not care less. Appalling - what happened to making women feel safe??

Shame on Amber Cars! First of all I've called a taxi and after half an hour wait they texted me saying that my journey was completed and they didn't even picked me up.. next I've called them twice and they said that the car was 4 minutes away. My kittle sister dropped the phone on the car and we called the phone and was ringing. We then called Amber to let them know and they said that the driver said that there was no phone in the car. We've called the phone and they switched it off. 100% that the driver took it as we've called it straight away after he left.

Taken more money than agreed.... Ride was £4.50 online, paid it, journey came to £5.40 so i gave a £1 tip to make up for it. Got a text 10 mins later to say ive been charged £6.75???? Total bull. No wonder he was adamant I paid online and didn't want me to go to the cash machine. . Want my money back!

Supposed to pick up 95 year old aunt for a fixed price, 1 hours late, charged her £60 more and made her go to a cash point, dreadful service and extortion. We expected a refund from your lying cowboy outfit. Heartless profiteering company.

Have been reliable in the past so booked a car 4 hrs in advance. Time comes and goes and no car. Check app no car assigned. Called told it will be shortly. Ask how long, told it will be at least 20+ min. Cancelled and booked an Uber instead. Will hesitate to use in the future when travel on a schedule.

Excellent service and cost to and from Leeds Bradford Airport, easy app to book and pay, very safe

Booked a taxi yesterday at 18.00 to be collected at 18.30 was told no problem.18 40 I contacted them to be told 5 to 10 mins max phoned again at 1905 to be told 10 to 15 mins, on the initial call I explained I was going to work and would they be on time, I was assured that would.
I stopped using Amber because of their incompetence but was told by a friend they had improved. Total joke of a company having spent 18 years in the military I have used taxis all over the country, Amber are by far the worst taxi company I have used. I feel I am being very generous giving them a 1 star. I find it amazing they ate still in business.

Booked a taxi yesterday for pickup at 0500 this morning 08/06/22. I had called just before 2000 to book it and get price for my journey. I called again at 2330 to check all was okay and was reassured they would send it.
The taxi never came and when I called them, they told me I never booked the taxi and it was not even on their system. Couldn't believe it. This was for a 17 mile trip.

Paul I can only see a transaction from 09/05/2022 you were charged £3.60 for the journey. A Pre auth of £5.10 but this should have corrected itself from the day of travel. I cant see a £3.10 or £3.30 charge.Have you asked your bank to investigate? disgusting how can take all that I still waiting now for refund

Avoid! I had a spinal injury so was unable to pick up my son from school by bus or walking. I have booked this company in advance for the whole term at this same time. From the first day there were always late. My son was in reception so it was extremely stressful for him when I wasn't there on time and he had to wait for me in the school office long after the pick up time. After two weeks the cabs stopped coming at all. I was calling them. They were lying that there is someone on the way or I could not contact anybody. Some of the drivers confessed that they have a better business with the Bradford Airport. There was not a driver assigned to me for the advanced booking so if they had some other jobs I just wouldn't get my cab.

DO NOT USE THIS TAXI FIRM! I WAS VERBALLY ABUSED BY A TAXI DRIVER AND DID NOT FEEL SAFE! WHEN I MADE A COMPLAINT TO THE COMPANY THEY SAID THAT THEY BELIEVED THE DRIVER OVER ME AND DISMISSED EVERYTHING I SAID! I ONLY GAVE 1* AS O WASN'T AVAILABLE!!!

I booked a taxi for 6:40 the night before and in the morning no car appears. When l phoned they told me that they knew it was booked but they didn’t know when a car would be available or any estimate of time. They weren’t remotely apologetic or even remotely try to sort out the problem. When I asked how long the taxi would be, they said they didn’t know and couldn’t provide an estimate. Do not use this firm if you have to get anywhere for a certain time as they are extremely unhelpful and unreliable.

Very poor service, arrived at Leeds Bradford airport, called at 8.25pm, Automated system, was told taxi due in 3 minutes, received a text to say what time it was due, was surprised how quick so left it an extra 5 mins. Headed outside at just got 8.30 no taxi, waited 10 minutes, get a call hi yeah sorry you ok if I come in 10 mins. Ok I felt we have no choice now, stood outside, 10 mins later still not taxi. Called them was on hold for 5 mins to be hold they are just dropping someone off so once they have dropped them off be 10 mins from there. What a bunch of jokers, if you have just come back from holiday or an in need of a reliable taxi company don’t use these guys, Uber or Arrow, don’t waste you time.
Any way I contacted arrow, taxi was there within 5 minutes, dropped me at my car and I have headed back to Manchester, 9.40 I get a call, hi just seeing if you are in the pick up bit i am just getting there….

Amber Taxis should not be trusted they over charge you and when you try to get in touch with them to get a refund it’s impossible I’ve had to email them twice in 2 weeks because no one got back to me and when I finally got through to someone on the phone they were talking about messaging the finance time and saying it will take me a couple of days to get my refund and at this point I’m vexed because they didn’t even bother to respond to my emails and when I call I can’t get my refund then and there absolutely fuming 😡 .

I had a bad experience yesterday with another taxi firm - taxi 25 minutes late, driver rude, no meter in the cab and I suspect I was overcharged. The clinic I attended recommended Amber. I rang for a taxi, it was outside waiting by the time I got to the entrance, there was a meter in the cab and the journey home cost £4 less than the journey out. I would use them again.
