Poor Pricing advice
We were given a quote for a call out of £49 and replacment locks from £20.
Then given a time that the locksmith would attend. Being as I was a 30min drive from the property the time given fitted.
The locksmith was 40 mins late and had to ring for the postcode which had been given to the call centre.
On arrival he said it was £59 call out and the lock would be another £50 all plus VAT.
I told him we were quoted £49 call out to which the answer was no it is £59.
If we want it cheaper then to ring him direct next time and was given his No.
After some negotiation we arrived at £100 plus vAT for the whole job. I felt we were given poor pricing advice and would not use again.
Be aware the the price quoted will not be the price they try to charge.

We believe you have misunderstood the guide price "locks from £20.00" to be a quote.
It is not possible to give quotes without knowing the lock needed, the material of the door or the door furniture. Once the technician was onsite he has quoted for the full works. He was authorised to discount the service charge due to the delay as a goodwill gesture.

Made phone call and an Engineer arrived…
Made phone call and an Engineer arrived within 30mins,which was great time as he was on another job. Once he arrived ,it took over an hour to gain entry but he was professional and explained how the fault with my door to my flat probably happened. Excellent service and to be fair a reasonable price
