I tried to purchase a nikon 14-24mm lens from All Gain. I paid them for quick shipping on top, so over £1000 on my credit card. I phoned first and spoke with Rob who said the item was in stock and would be delivered within 3 days.
I called again after 3 days, but still no lens. Was told it would be delivered in another 3 days. Called again after 3 days and was told it was out of stock and they didn't know when i would receive it.
Asked for a refund only to be told 'We are not able to do the refund from our side, as there is some problem with our merchant bank and payment gateway. This is the reason I am telling you to contact your bank'.
Barclaycard have thankfully refunded me the money, 2 months after my original payment.
Moral of the story - do not use this company. Massive waste of time and very fraudulent.

I recently purchased a camera from them via PayPal. A week after I was supposed to receive it, I called them to find out what had happened. I was told by a South African sounding guy that they had not yet received the item from the suppliers, but hadn't bothered to notify me of this. I was told I'd have it sent within a week. Guess what, it was a lie SHOCKER!!
After a month of continued delaying tactics, I finally lost patience and asked for a refund. I was told I'd have it within 48 hours. Can you guess what happened? That's right, yet another lie. A week later I contacted them only to find I've now got to go through PayPal to get my money back!! Yet again I had to call and find this out because they are either too incompetent, or more probable, very dodgy!!
After doing this I now have to wait 20 days for the company to reply!!! They haven't even had the decency to expedite the matter and replied to the demand!! Avoid like the plague!! Even having to give one star is too much!!
Terrible service - Avoid them
I was tempted to try Allgain, as they stated they had the camera I wanted in stock and would deliver in 5-7 days. The price was good, even with a Paypal supplement. After 8 working days (10 days from order) they had not delivered, but had taken payment. Their web site then would not let me log on. They did not reply to e-mails. Eventually I managed to contact them by phone and was told they had a problem with delivery and the cameras would not be in the country for another 2 or 3 days. As I needed it before then I was given the option of cancelling the order and getting a refund within 48hrs. I therefore sourced a camera elswhere and cancelled the order. No repayment after 6 days, 2 more days before they responded to my e-mail to say they had a problem with the repayment and would process it again. 4 more days and no repayment. Then was told it would be refunded within 48 hrs. 4 days later still no refund. Was told it had been processed and would be in my account within 48hrs. 4 days later, still no refund and have raised a Paypal dispute. ( No reply so far....)
Disgusting Service - All Buyers Beware Before Using This Company
I am totally disgusted by the service (non-service actually) given by this company. I ordered from All Gain a Tamron 16-300mm lens for my Sony A57 camera. I decided to use them due to the fact that the website indicated that the lens was in stock and was a very good price (even when adding on the fee for using PayPal). I received the emails to say that the order and payment was received and they gave a deilvery of 5-7 working days. When that had expired (plus a few days leeway), I contacted them to be told that they had 'problems with stock'. Apparently, if the website says it is in stock, this doesn't actually mean in the UK. It could be pretty anywhere in the world! Despite their promises that the problem had been sorted and that I would definitely receive my purchase within a few days. Still nothing turned up. I asked them again when I would have the lens and was told again 'in a few days'. I then told them that it was required for an assignment on the May Bank Holiday weekend and was told that they couldn't guarantee delivery by then and they gave me the option of cancelling the order and receiving a full refund to my PayPal account. I informed them that was what I wanted and they promised that my money would be refunded in 24-48hours. This was not done despite two subsequent requests. I therefore instigated a dispute via PayPal to which they have so far not replied. They now have until 16th May otherwise this will escalate to a full complaint and claim from PayPal.
Quite honestly, this company should be reported for their practices as they are taking money under false pretences.
UPDATE: Refund finally received into my PayPal account today (8/5/2015). No apology received from Allgain which is no surprise!
Yet another disappointed customer
Reading the reviews, it seems they get worse not better. I ordered a Sony 55-210 lens about 5-6 weeks ago. I explained that I needed it reasonably quickly as i was going on holiday and needed the lens. I was told they had it in stock (didn't explain it was probably in Hong Kong or somewhere). I paid and extra £50 for 2-4 days express delivery and 6 weeks later I am still waiting. After several phone calls to characters variously called John, Rob and who knows who else, I was told that the lens was on way and that they would refund the express shipping charge. Of course they never did that but then billed my credit card with the cost of the lens AND the shipping charge having said they would refund it.
So, several emails and phone calls later I am still waiting. Today I cancelled the order and will pay slightly more to get it from Amazon or somewhere else. The matter is now in the hands of my Bank. I will make it my business to make sure that the true inefficiency of this company is more widely known about to through various websites I manage and blogs I write. CAVEAT EMPTOR my friends. My advice: avoid them like the plague.
Poor comms BUT great product, worth the wait

My feeling is that they waited to put together a bulk order/shipment, which is not unreasonable, but I don't know.
They would do themselves a lot of favours by communicating a lot more with the customer. I was made nervous by the other comments on the web. I am, however, delighted that I persevered and waited, its a great product at a great price.

Last promise (I would not say promise I would say last false cheating statement they gave to send us details which was again to pass the time and now another one is gone........I will send a mail to PayPal to refund my money from fraud party and send this name to black listing concerns.

I am asked to upload my positive review as now the item is delivered to me. I delayed my opinion to check all the details about the ordered phone.
I would have liked to say some positive comments after receipt of the phone but unfortunately I do not hesitate to say that this is the worst experience I have ever had in my life.
The item I received after the painful hurdles and false commitments I became surprised when I opened the phone pack that,
1. The Ordered phone was 8 GB but the sent one is just 2GB.
When, on the first delay I reviewed, I received a call from them that the
phone they received from Hong Kong was wrongly 4 GB so we are reordering
for your ordered phone i.e. 8GB.
Charger sent with the phone (I am sending a photo of it) is with TWO pins
which is not used in the UK. I would have to buy another helping plug to connect,
(which I will never do). This malty jointing is risky, and reduces the life of mobile device.
2. They promised that they will return the extra charged amount which they
gave the name as surcharge £6/- but they did not refund it back to my account.
So, Deal is not gone through at all. No compromise on any of the point mentioned
above rather
I am not only booked to carry on this disappointing deal. I can just give five working days to refund my money back.

I'll give my 5 star rating when my goods arrive.
I have always had my emails returned.
I spoke to allgain on the Manchester phone number and were aware of their website problems and it's now back up.
Should give these guys a chance. Great customer service for me so far.

All for giving a company a go at supplying goods.
Ordered on 28th March an edge green 128gb and payment was taken.
I've had to chase this company a lot, emails and phone. They have always answered the phone and given reassurance.
They have never proactively contacted me to give a progress update.
Since placing my order they messed their website up and all user account details were lost. When I re registered my order was no longer present.
Today speaking to them on the phone said they were not getting the item and would issue a refund. I will update on that when it happens.
On the state of play today I'm giving a poor rating as customer service has been non existent and they have had my money for 2 months.

My young fried wasted his mony with this fraud group for a dual sim phone.
and had the following pain.
1. Over charged £6/- they named it surcharge
2. Promised to refund but did not.
3. Did not send phone in three weeks kept making lame and stupid
excuses as follows.
o Displayed phone was damaged.
o Phone recieved from China was 4GB not 8GB so wait further
two weeks.
o At the end Phone recieved, was ONLY 2GB.
o Adopter was with wrong plug could not be used in UK.
o At contact my friend was asked to email the differences.
o Responce was....."we will enquire about and it will take 72 hours.
o Now One week is gone
My inocent young friend(a student) is still expecting some positive
from this fraud group.

I ordered a canon ax10 on the 5th March with 7 to 10 days delivery.
Got a number of emails saying it is being shipped but eventually they said the camera can't be delivered and they will refund my money.
This was meant to be done in 24 to 48 hoiurs.
Email to me on 30th March and I am stuill waiting for a refund.
I will reserve judgement on this company if I get my refund today but I have been on the phone to them every day and still nothiing.

I was told when I purchased that there were two items of the sort I wanted in stock. So I ordered. Firstly I was presented with a Bank Transfer (very dodgy) or Paypal (Trustworthy). So I opted for Paypal which incurred a £20 surcharge? Paid up and awaited order. After a week I enquired as to status (no contact from Allgain) was told would be by end of week 99% certain. Nothing arrived. Enquired again was told following Monday 100% certain. Nothing arrived. Enquired again and was put through to very offhand arrogant manager ((name)) told it would be with me Monday. Price good so swallowed this. Nothing arrived. Enquired again this time told they have no idea of arrival as they cant see anything on chat? Earlier agents of Allgain must have had a crystal ball? Finally exasperated I raised an issue with Paypal - thank God I used Paypal. Got refund. Will never use again. Appalling customer service and slightly suspicious they request Bank Transfer or surcharge in Paypal. This is a UK front for foreign business. Might well be able to deliver eventually but you will wait and wait and wait.

Allgain is a good name
If you are prepared to be a little patient. I am very pleased with my Lumix Panasonic camera, the price was very good, the lowest I found online, and it is the genuine article. It took two weeks to be delivered, a little more than the 7-10 days stated, but it has been worth the wait. Emails were answered quickly and staff polite.

Placed an order for a new HTC One E8 on 7th Feb, item listed as in stock and dispatched within 7-10 days. After several e-mails and phone calls to the sales team, I was informed that my item is in fact not in stock and they are waiting on a new shipment of HTC's. I placed this order in good time or so I thought to arive in time for my wife's birthday on the 26th, it is now Monday 23rd.
I will update this review after further converstions to let you all know how I get on, if they do come up trumps with the order or the refund in good time I will be the first person to jump back on here and amend my feedback! Somehow I dont think I will be doing this but please All gain, prove me wrong.

I am updating my feedback as I have had further communications from Allgain, I must say that John and his team have handled the situation superbly, very appologetic, refunded my money instantaniously, no messing. OK, the order was slow to be delivered, however after speaking with the Manger, John, I couldnt of asked for a quicker refund and communications have been second to none this morning, even e-maling me with an issue on the refund asking me to double check my bank details in order to process this as soon as they possibly could, on that basis, although I didnt take delivery of the phone, John has re installed my faith in allgain as a company, Well done to John and his team, keep up the good customer service. I have now changed my mind towards Allgain as a company and would use them again providing I wasnt on a deadline for delivery. Thanks again John :-)

Slow to explain delivery delay but comms did improve when I pushed
I'd spent a fair amount of money, and accepted their 7-10 day delivery promise. I began to become a little worried that I'd had no explanations for the none arrival of my goodsafter about 14 working days .
After expressing my concern I recieved an appologetic reply about their supplier, and that I would recieve my order in about a week.
A couple of related freebies were offered as compensation.
Goods recieved OK within the week (packageing not great, but no damage). I'm glad I had no problems with the recieved goods, as I'm not convinced aftersales care would be slick.
I'd use them again, but only for a significant saving and if I didn't have a deadline for the goods.
bad rep, but trustworthy....for me
After reading all the bad online reviews for Allgain and their sister company, TopTop...and some others, it took me weeks before I finally decided to give them the benefit of doubt. Intitially, i was going to order from Allgain, but tried tiptop instead as they were recommended to me by a friend. the order didnt go through due to paypal issues, i went with Allgain.
in the past 2-3 months, i have placed 3 separate orders with Allgain.co.uk using different accounts, and i have received all three orders in good condition, albeit a bit slow on delivery.
If you're not in any rush to receive the products, then i would say, give them a go. seems they're trying to earn an honest living. just struggling to keep up with high number of orders, i guess.
I ordered Canon EOS 7DII, with 3 lenses. all perfect condition except the camera had close to 2000 picture count already, but prob due to testing before they sent it out.
following this order, i placed order for two more fairly expensive lenses. no problems at all....except for a slightly delayed delivery. but again, i was in no rush to receive, so i'm happy.
give them a go, and ignore the 7-10 or 10-14 day delivery. add another 10 days to it to avoid disapointment :)
Slow slow slow...
Not impressed with this company. Their quoted shipping times are already horrendously slow... 2 weeks for a galaxy s5...and the reality is even worse! Nice people when you ring, but I don't want to ring, I just want the phone I paid for! It seems "in stock" doesn't mean they actually have it "in stock".
Cheaper and nicer than Amazon
I like these guys. My camera was about £150 or something less than the nearest competitor, and they have a phone number, so I could talk to someone any time I wanted to check anything.
It took a bit longer than promised for my order to arrive, and I would have preferred to be given a specific date of arrival, instead of 'monday or tuesday'.
But they were quick to recognise the problem. I have since been compensated for the delay.
Will definitely use them again.

The link from the follow up email says to leave positive feedback. Unfortunately I cant do that.
I placed my order for the Samsung Tab S on 3 January and I didnt receive the item until 3 weeks later. An email to them after 2 weeks elicited the response that they were sorry for the inconvenience and they would send 'freebies' to compensate. Over the next week I had to email or call for status updates - Allgain was not forthcoming. An email in the third week of waiting where i asked for a refund if the item did not ship that day went ignored. I called them and was told the consignment had indeed arrived in the UK and was to be posted out that afternoon. And then to top it all, no 'freebies' arrived with the tablet. All in all next time I wont worry about trying to save £30 or so.
