NEVER buy Alienware/Dell!

This is one of the worse companies I've dealt with. I bought a AW2334DWF monitor one of their most expensive monitors at the time and premium.
They come with a 3y warranty, but they will not honor them. The monitor comes with a noise problem either electrical or what they claim from fan. After sending videos and spending weeks trying to explain their "Engineers" said it was a normal noise. I explained it wasn't as the noise was never there before and now it is making it. They didnt care about it, they refused to make a exchange.

NEVER buy from them, just look at their reviews, terrible company that doesn't deserve your hard-earned money.

I spent £2,700.00 on a top end laptop and the support needed for an incredibly poor piece of equipment is outstanding. Updates that completely crash the system. Zero help after 13mths on from purchase.. Typical US service ZERO as the customer is the idiot who bought our scrap.. more FOOL THEM

Decent hardware. TRASH software!

Their AWCC Alienware Command Center software is absolute trash, ramping up the CPU of any PC like crazy. I tried it on different PCs, both on Windows 10 and 11, and it does the same thing, eating up all the resources in the backend for no reason.

How is this still possible? Such a big company can't fix its basic software and make people install such trash on their devices?

So the only way to set some custom RGB lights, for example, is to install their trash software, set it, and uninstall it if you want your PC running smoothly.

I'm pretty happy with my new Alienware AW2724DM display, but if I knew about their bad software, I wouldn't have bought it, that's for sure.

Spent $1800 on an Alienware desktop

Spent $1800 on an Alienware desktop. They only offer a one year warranty despite the price. I have had the computer for less than two years and it crashes daily and randomly stops processing internet data (on a hard wired connection) so I have to restart the computer to have access to internet again. It's literally an issue every day. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling windows and that just made it so the solutions to these issues disappeared and I have to hard power off the device to fix issues now. It's the most expensive and yet the worst computer I've ever owned hands down. Do NOT waste your money on one. They look great but perform like a piece of junk.

DON'T RECOMMEND ANY PRODUCT FROM DELL

I received the laptop on November 18, 2025. After installation, I discovered that the Alienware Center wasn't responding to the LED color change and couldn't program the keyboard buttons (the Alienware Center doesn't offer the option to make any changes). I contacted support on November 19, 2025, but they couldn't resolve the issue. On November 20, 2025 , I decided to return the faulty laptop and used the Dell website for a return (they say returns are easy). Today is April 25, 2025 , and I still haven't received the return instructions. Support couldn't help with the laptop issue, nor with the return, but the strangest thing is that they can't even explain the reason.

If there's possible to rate 0 stars…

If there's possible to rate 0 stars absolutely would try not to take in too much internet reviews but here's a experience dell first denied their claim any attempts has to do with their pc went to lawsuit but they go against it and any action taken by them. Then second time when pc broke down they took more than a month and never replied. On second time, they attempt to reply but still keep on insisting its not hardware issues! do not accept any misleading attempts for hardware they do to you, no matter! else risk no PC fixes at all. This dell causes so much problems and defiancy. They attempt to push blame No Matter What

Alienware 18 Area 51

Alienware 18 Area 51. Blue screen crash when accessing sound options, from when it was first turned on. Dell assist didn't work had to go long way round website. Tech spent ages on it and then told me to do a re-install. After that it couldn't find it's own speakers (sound card/ speaker problem all along) and again Dell assist didn't work. This is in the first 24hrs! Wouldn't offer me a replacement till they had found the problem. Sent it back. Terrible company! Won't buy from them again! Still looking for a laptop.

The biggest, costliest mistake I ever made.

I purchased a very expensive gaming desktop which was delivered quickly but with extreme shortcomings and problems that were never solved. I was told that returning it would incur a penalty of a 15% restocking fee from the amount I paid, so I was forced to keep it.
Adter it was delivered I found out that, because of their restrictions, I can't use aftermarket ram because they render the machine incapable of using any ram not sold by Dell/Alienware. Technically, the aftermarket ram works but, because dell and Alienware restrict the timing settings, it works much slower than ram officially "approved" for use with Dell-branded products.

The worst thing about them is their tech support: I contacted them because an ssd I purchased suddenly died, shortly after I installed it into their machine. It happened again with another drive but, after HOURS of calling, being transferred, chatting, e-mailing and finally getting through to someone, I was advised to "reset bios and reinstall windows", an instruction that made absolutely no sense, since the ssd's in question no longer worked in ANY desktop.

So, even though it made no sense at all, I was forced to reset the bios and erase all my data, then I got disconnected somehow and had to do it all all over, again. Obviously, the laughable solution didn't work and the dead drives continued to be dead, the pc would still not accept the aftermarket ram (or even boot at this point) and I was getting even more frustrated and angry.

I was told my request would be escalated because, clearly, they didn't know what they were doing and... Nothing. I haven't heard back from them since, they never got back to me, even though I followed up with chat, e-mail and a phone call. I think it's being done on purpose to make sure I'm past the 30 day return window, I guess they haven't heard of the Civil court or charge dispute? Whatever the case is, their products are GARBAGE, full of low-quality proprietary parts. The advertisement is a LIE and has nothing to do with reality. I know that I'm very important but I'm still a person and expected for them to at least try to help me because I literally just spent almost $6k buying a gaming rig from them because they sold it as a cutting edge product but what I received is not even usable.

This is the worst product I ever used, the worst company I ever deal with and, no matter what, I will never, EVER buy anything from them, ever again and will make sure to tell everyone about their deceptive advertising practices, convoluted return policies and their absolute and total lack of real tech support.

Credit where it's due, their customer service was quick to respond and credited me the difference in price right away, took less than 4 days to get the refund but... I'm still $1500 short of funds for the new motherboard and 1500w power supply, items that I now have to purchase and replace in order to be able to actually use this gaming rig the way it was meant to be used, with my own ram and to its full capability.

Disappointed with Alienware – My First and Last Time

Hi everyone,
I never understood why there were so many negative reviews about Dell and Alienware — until I experienced it myself.

I decided to switch to Alienware for my private AI-focused studio. I needed a powerful and reliable laptop for travel work. I ordered a high-end M18 R2 model (paid €2650), waited two weeks (shipping from China — fine), and received the unit.

But within just two hours of first use, I got a blue screen error related to GPU driver switching. I won’t go into technical details, but let’s be clear: a premium machine shouldn’t crash straight out of the box — especially due to compatibility issues between Alienware’s own software and Windows.

I contacted support, expecting a professional replacement. Instead, I was told to reinstall Windows — on a premium €2600+ product, just 2 hours after unboxing. That alone already felt unacceptable.

Still, I waited. I was promised updates “tomorrow” — over and over again. After four days of delays, I gave in and followed their advice: I reinstalled Windows.

To be honest, I really wanted to keep the laptop, (I loved how it looks, awesome design ,amazing light controls)— or at least receive a proper replacement. But after reinstalling, the system became worse: Alienware updates failed, Windows updates failed. I was dealing with errors Dell should have caught before shipping.

I did everything support asked. I was patient. I offered to accept a replacement of the same model. But instead, I was passed around for days with empty promises and no real solution.

Eventually, I gave up and requested a return.

I’m now trying to forget this as a bad dream. I won’t name competitors here — I’ll just say I’m going back to brands that never gave me such problems.

It’s a real shame. This was my first time trying Alienware.
It will be the last

0 STARS - DO NOT BUY

TLDR Absolutely garbage laptops, do not waste your money.

I purchased one 3 years ago & I've had 3 replacements. Now the 3rd one has gone & I'm just cutting my losses, throwing it in the bin & moving to another laptop manufacturer. From the very first day there have been issues, first with a fault killer Wifi router, then the keyboard went, then the screen started to blur (GPU issues), then the VGA fan malfunctioned & now the motherboard has gone.

I initially spent over $4k on the laptop. To have this many issues & still end up having to throw it in the bin is ridiculous.

TWO MONTHS to replace RAM?!

System had problems from start. Returned for repair. They have had it over two weeks and just informed me it will be TWO MONTHS! They have to replace the RAM! TWO MONTHS to replace RAM. This is absolutely rediculous. Are they back to running Dell out of someone's garage again?

Vertagear is Alienware Lack of Quality & Warranty Integrity!

We don't have a lot of money and my son was so excited to get an alienware computer and gaming chair. But I guess I should honestly say it's called Vertagear, That's the name of the company that we have been trying to get a refund or replacement for his chair for the past 2 months. It is obvious they have no intention of standing behind their product as we have provided the information requested on more than 2 occasions. So, unlike some others who simply have the money to go out and buy another chair for their son, I am doing the only thing that I am able to do and that is to let others know that this company while they may be affiliated with DELL, I ORDERED HIS STUFF FROM DELL and contacted Dell about my warranty claim however we have been dealing with the company called Vertagear after 2 chats and two phone calls with Dell and two months later we still have no replacement chair. So we highly recommend looking at another vendor for anything other than the computer itself as they simply are horrendous to deal with and they do not care about their customers or about the quality of their product even though they have the nerve to charge the prices they do. Even though we do not have a lot of money, we appreciate quality that comes along with expensive things. However, when you pay as much as we did for a computer and gaming chair, which we will pay on for over a year and a half we would expect better customer service than this and as well as anyone should. I will never buy anything from this company again and I will torch the internet so that other people know just how frustrating it will be not only was his chair chipping delayed but then within months and my son is a small teenager and his chair which is supposed to be real leather was cracked and destroyed within a few months. Think twice and buy another brand.

I bought Aurora R16

I bought Aurora R16. The Cpu cooler unit failed 3 times. I moved to Turkey and changed my warranty they fixed it 3 times and now they finally are giving me a refund but even though they are an international company they are refusing to collect it from Turkey and insisted that I ship it to Ireland so they can collect it in Ireland. Lost a serious customer. For the sake of them not picking it up.
