I would give this company zero stars. I have been with alarm force for 15 years never missed a payment. The panel wasn't working one day and I was trying to fix the volume, I accidentally hit the sil... See more

Horrible company
Horrible company. Beware! If you sign a service contract with them and it expires and you don’t owe any money for the equipment you will continue to be charged. They don’t tell you that it’s an automatic renewal and unless you make an actual call to their cancellation department you are screwed. Advising the customer service of a move isn’t enough they fail to mention that a second call is required. Alarm Force was great. Watch out for Bell.
Awful
Awful. Just awful. 2 cameras had to be replaced and even then they only worked half the time. Panel had to be replaced. Cameras wouldn't connect most days. Technicians came 5 times in 3 months. Eventually I cancelled the contract and paid $1110 to break the contract just to avoid the frustration of this awful service. Do not get bell smart home!
Alarm force use to be great before it…
Alarm force use to be great before it was bought by Bell. Bell has ruined a great company.
When the alarm goes off, it takes a lot longer for the people to call to check your safety, they raised the rates, and they won’t even replace batteries in your sensor now!
The Customer Service quality is the…
The Customer Service at Bell is the worst I have ever dealt with. We have had many issues with the equipment. When we call to get help they act like it's our fault.
No More Thanks... DONE!
Bell / Alarmforce has the worst…
Bell / Alarmforce has the worst customer service and technical setup in the marketplace - stay away!! System had technical issues with the single wifi camera that was installed - they came back after several calls and installed a wifi repeater but camera still drops out every 3 weeks or so for days at a time. Placed several calls and emails and no response. System is expensive and at that price, I would expect it to work. Save yourself time and money and look at better alternatives.
I got a problem
I got a problem. One of the sensors do not work. I called many month ago to get it fixed and never happened. Then i asked to not pay the full price, since its not working. They said i have to clear the bill and pay for over 3 months of non-working alarm system, then they will send a tech. I am not sure what to do now.
Really i don't recommend them
I just had the worst experience with…
I just had the worst experience with Bell and Bell Smart Home Monitoring system.. they give you one price and then tell you something completely different.. been with them just for a month..they kept flip flopping .. even had proof.. the worst.. keep away and go with Rogers.. going through difficult times with COVID..and on top they are ripping the average consumer off.. run when Bell calls you to sign up with them..do not believe the pricing they give you..pricing of $106 then they went on to charge me $356.00.. had a email confirmation.. they are con artist .. told the guy he was a horrible individual and he said I was abusing him.. well you guys are ripping us off.. what does that make them..mental abuser to the consumer.. run from BELL.. if anyone wants proof I can show you..just ask..wanted to speak to a manager the guy at the other end said no manager.. **** are you kidding me.. what a bunch of con artists including the puppets they have answering the calls.. customer service sure is not what it use to be..
Don't do it
Don't do it, no matter what the deal, do not. You have to register with your local police service (more money) and if you try and cancel you pay out the entire contract, what's the point of cancelling then? Customer service might be the worst I've ever dealt with. (Rogers might be worse but you know what I mean)
Horrible service and misleading pricing…
Horrible service and misleading pricing from Bell.
At the store I was given a complete price for all services including alarm monitoring. Unfortunately, surprise surprise, alarm.com invoices separately and my bill went from 160 to about 200.
The alarm installer was a horrible incompetent service man. He spent most time on his phone and couldn’t do the job right. I kicked him out of my house. They sent another who was better.
Now I am trying to add devices to my alarm system without going through them and pay the extortion prices and installation. They will not give me the installer code to my panel.
Sick and tired of Bell and Alarm.con!!!!
Do not use them.
Do not enter into an agreement for this…
Do not enter into an agreement for this service with this company for any reason!!!!!...I recently signed up with Bell for home TV/internet/home phone package and then the customer service representative "suggested" adding the home security plan to the package. I confirmed with him several times over the phone that the amount for all services was $ 146 per month. My first bill from Bell was $ 151 (which might be explained with HST) and then I received a call from another person asking how I would like to pay for my home security portion of the contract????? At this point, I said the amounts are not what was agreed to over the phone and how much would it cost to cancel...$ 798 for a service (one camera, a WIFI light bulb and a WI-FI switch) that has been installed for less than three weeks....DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!
Bell smart home is Trash
Bell smart home is Trash, They charged us 6 times for faulty Equipment on the same night. $60 x 6..... and then blamed us for not fixing the faulty equipment.
Do not waste your Time or Money,,,you've been warned.
Alarm Force was courteous -- UNTIL.....
Alarm Force was courteous, competent and effective --UNTIL Bell took over. Now it is none of those things and I am ridding myself of this useless, unprofessional company!!
Complete GARBAGE
Complete GARBAGE. Equipment is antique and customer service is horrible. Seriously the worst alarm company you can deal with.
Terrible customer support
Terrible customer support. I've had my security system with camera for just over a year and the camera still doesn't work properly. Technicians are poorly trained. Camera can detect a shadow or a leaf dropping off a tree but misses cars and people coming in to driveway. Now camera stopped working after a year, wont record and BELL tech wearing a Bell Tshirt comes over and tells me it's my BELL internet. They tell me I have to call Bell Internet service because this Bell tech cant talk to Bell internet tech direct. When I call Bell internet they say everything is fine. What a load of crap. They won't allow me to cancel contract and insist everything is ok on their end. Unbelievable. DONT GO WITH BELL WHATEVER YOU DO.
Awful Customer Service, Ridiculous Contracts
Joined with AlarmForce before the Bell acquisition and did not sign a yearly contract and was told that when/if I cancel the unit will be taken away. I tried to cancel today and they are telling me I'm in a three year contract with Bell and that I have to pay out the remainder of the payments from the 3 years AND lucky me I get to keep this outdated system that only connects to the Bell Smart Home App. If I had known Bell was going to take over AlarmForce I would have never signed up in the first place.
Too bad there isn't NEGATIVE stars.
Too bad there isn't NEGATIVE stars.
Worst alarm company.
Useless.
Failed equipment, moronic staff, LONG wait times and complete incompetance.
The ONLY thing they do on time is take your money.
RUN to another company.
#failedtwiceintwoweeks.
Service Cancellation Fee
Absolutely dissatisfied with the company's treatment of my case. I unfortunately needed to cancel the services about 1/3 into my contract and they are going to charge me a full duration of the term including the services that I am not going to receive. They offered a small discount, which was a joke for such a large company. They negatively impacted their own reputation, word of mouth and discredited their worth.
Like most 1 star ratings here
Like most 1 star ratings here, I have been a paying customer for months and the system is still not installed properly. In fact, I currently have no doorbell, just exposed wires. It remains exactly how the last technician left it. Today, I will rip the system out of the walls and put it where it belongs: in the garbage. Be forewarned....your current doorbell system may not be compatible with their system but they wont tell you this of course. Many of the complaints I have read here are similar if not the same experiences I have had. I too am stuck paying 50 a month for a service I am not receiving. Fee fi fo fum I smell a lawsuit.
Alarmforce WAS a good reputable company…
Alarmforce WAS a good reputable company that cared about customers, when bell took over it went to the dogs. Back in 2012 i purchased an alarmforce system and used it throughout my 3 year contract problem free with impeccable service and caring staff. 2015 my contract was up and i just used my alarm unsupervised by alarmforce. i bought my equipment out for a $1000.00 so i could keep it and maybe get it re monitored in the future. Fast forward 2020 i call the other day to find out alarmforce is now bell and they will not monitor my old system, they say its obsolete... well my neighbor has the exact same system still monitored by bell but the old alarmforce unit....Bell is trying to sell me a new system for $299.00 plus $60.00 for installation and half the equipment i require. Bell's system only comes with two door contacts and one motion, i need 6 of each and have that already with alarmforce. Don't go with bell their in it for whatever money they can make like their phone service, they don't care about the consumer
glitchy service
glitchy service, the app does not work very well and spams my phone with notifications, 99% are about loosing and regaining connection and when I moved out of the service area, I had to pay the rest of the 3 year contract up front. I expected a cancellation fee, but to pay for the full amount for the entire rest of the contract is insane. will never use them again.
