Customers frequently reported that their doorbell cameras and other products stopped working reliably or failed to perform core functions like detecting movement. The associated application was often criticized for issues including continuous logouts, slow connection times, and intrusive advertisements. A scam to get you to take out a subscription

Quite pleased for a couple of months then couldn’t view camera unless I got a subscription which I didn’t want.
Contacted them several times but no response so clearly it’s a scam I shall be asking the seller for refund although I won’t get cost of the batteries back ‘cos they’re very good.

I would have put 0 if possible.....

I would have put 0 if possible selling an item as "lifetime storage free" then stopping you viewing your playback unless you watch 240 secs of adverts i could deal with but now its totally subscription based! You cannot view anything live or recorded unless you subscribe. I have deleted my account and looking for alternatives as I write this.
Tapo seems like an ok alternative but I'm still looking into it.

Aiwit doorbell experience/ What Y'all Gone Do about this?

Let me start by speaking first, Hello my name is Dilek and I would like to speak about my experience with the Aiwit doorbell camera , so far I managed to purchase 2 in the same year, my experience is the video part of the camera doesn't work properly and this is with a subscription, seems to me when packages show up at my door or trash or paper shows up in my yard, the video part of the device doesn't display how the items got there, but this isn't aways, but it has being on for a while, on and off, like a car just fell out the sky and ended up in my drive way video doesn't even show who got out the vehicle, it's just there, or which way they went, my subscription just expired January, 2026 and out of nowhere I'm unable to have a view of anything that's going on on the outside of my surroundings through the lens of my doorbell camera, I purchased both device in 2025. Now, I know, I don't need a subscription to have a clear view through the lens of my doorbell camera, But really would like to know what's going on, I feel like I'm being scammed into purchasing a subscription just to be able to have a view through my camera lens, and I hope I'm wrong, I gave the subscription option a chance and I didn't get services rendered to me as I was supposed to, so I'm very reluctant not into not purchase another subscription, and another thing, Aiwit or who ever is the responsible parties for these door bell camera device, needs to allow the customer a contact number that works or something, on a more professional level, which would allow consumers to know, you the people who speak on behave of this company is not trying to stiff or get over on the consumers who have purchased this product or beat them into a subscription, which the system is not applying fulling to, as it should. I've spoken to many people, through the aiwit app chat line and I haven't receive any feed back concerning this issue, and that's sad your company has offered the people a window to view their surroundings and you hit the switch and stop the view on the camera lens because the subscription hasn't been renewed, If that's not true, that's what its looking like.We know the subscription is not free but we should still have access to view through the lens of the camera, since we have purchased the product, which is supposed to be accessible to product holders. I would like to know what y'all planning on doing to fixing this problem?

They’ve started charging to use

Had my doorbell over a year and was really pleased as you could use it without a subscription but recently they’ve decided to start charging people. Will definitely be changing brand and chucking out the Aiwit one

Scam business that sells multiple-branded cameras

I have 6 cameras that use the Aiwit app to view live footage. Over the last few weeks, I have been unable to view the live feed. When I attempt to do so, an ad pops up requesting that I purchase an annual plan for data storage. Closing the ad brings me to a cyclic repeat of "live view" to the ad showing again. The cameras are useless now. I don't need storage or saved videos. I need live-view only. This is no longer an option. I have emailed twice over the last 2 weeks and have received zero responses. Keep in mind, Aiwit provides services for many different cameras and doorbells. Most of these devices are sold on Amazon. Many of the devices (after researching for several days) are differently branded cameras that are exactly the same (shape, size, color, and in some cases...even the logo).

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. Worked ok for 1st few days then Absolutely nothing, no live view, nothing UNLESS, of course, you subscribe which is just a total waste of money. Other companies offer everything for free like Hikvision. Quality cameras, lifetime free playback and recording. Why pay these rip off companies like Aiwit. Shocking. Oh and they don't respond to queries if you email them!!?? I mean, come on; you can't even see live view so what's the use in that. Oh the doorbell rings 🤣brilliant but I could have got one from B&Q for £1.99
Furthermore the only useful thing are the rechargeable batteries, so keep them to use elsewhere. You might think I'm joking here but this is absolutely all true so stay away from Aiwit.

Very disappointing experience.

Very disappointing experience.

I paid for the subscription but I still can’t use the service properly. The features that are supposed to be included simply don’t work, which defeats the whole purpose of paying.

What’s even more frustrating is the lack of customer support. I’ve tried contacting them multiple times and received no response. No acknowledgment, no solution, nothing.

If you’re considering this doorbell, be aware that if something goes wrong, you may be left on your own — even after paying for a subscription. I expected much better support and reliability.

great camera, forced fees

I bought this camera unit for the back of my shop only for available parking spaces. Worked fine for 12months then wanted me to upgrade the account for £35.99 a year. Which I thought was ridiculous because I don't want the play back features. However, you can create a new account with the same device to bypass this yearly fee and still carry on using the same device,.

I purchased 4 out door solar battery…

I purchased 4 out door solar battery security cameras, and for a short time all worked well until the app was upgraded and adverts were introduced I have not been able to use any camera due to an advert being placed across the screens for payment to Cloud Storeage which I do not want or can afford.
I tried my spare new awit camera and that will not connect.
I have contacted their Service Dept and all that I get back is to reconfirm all the problem issues from different personnel.
If AWIT got there act together and dealt promptly with Customers problems and ensured adverts did not interfere with screens it could be a good product, but until sorted I would advise Not to purchase any wi FI cameras from AWIT.

I’ve had this video doorbell for around…

I’ve had this video doorbell for around 5 years and it wasnt the best back then but the service/app was free so couldn’t complain. Over the years it’s got progressively worse and now to the point it’s useless. App logs you out continuously, the doorbell takes about 45 seconds to give you a feed and by that time, there’s no point as the person who’s knocking could’ve left.

Now, I’ve come to go on my camera feed and it’s telling me that I need a subscription to view a live feed from own door! Don’t even bother the customer service, I sent them a question and it took them 3 months to respond to which the issue was resolved cos it was quicker to google it.

Furthermore, the quality isn’t great either, up close you’re talking decent HD but that’s on a good day, struggles to pick up anything of any detail around 10-15ft away.

Years ago I was recommending this as a cheap option, now, I’d stay clear.
