Don’t order online from them!

Don’t order online from them!! They suck, they have the worst customer service!! You pay for same day delivery and apparently they decide which items are same day and which you have to wait for and then the hour window is up and you can’t refund your money to go to the competitor

Rip off

I’ve been purchasing items from this place for years. My phone number is in the system so any store I go to has me. Went to glen cove location and I’m not in system. Bought cabin and engine air filters. Submitted rebate info and got email telling me that they cannot process the rebate. Will switch to auto zone. Advance auto is a scam

I purchased a Diehard Silver battery in…

I purchased a Diehard Silver battery in June 2021 at the Advanced Auto 5th Alleghany Ave Phila Pa. And for some reason I had to keep taking the battery back and each time I took back it was replaced with another battery whether new or used it was replaced. Today 9/6/2022 Frank the battery person I assume took my battery for 35 mins and said he put on charge he never showed us the charge and he used 3 battery chargers to test battery including opening a new battery charger. All to say the battery is good. When I put the battery in my van the battery was dead as when I took in store, I called Frank and asked are you sure you charged tis battery because no way it should not have started the car. Frank claimed he charged the battery and I say he did not. That battery cost me almost $200.00 and for it not to be replaced its not fair. I sure if I was PR he would have handled the situation differently. He seemed like I as trying to get over in some way. I am in the system to verify my purchase. I am sure they know some or all of them batteries are seconds maybe thirds and to treat a customer like this is not fair.

I wanted to say how professional the staff at 6301 park Blvd, Pinellas park, FL, we're. I can't remember the Managers name, but she was exceptional. She Cross referenced an electrical part for me. I couldn't get any of the other auto suppliers to do this. I'll definitely go back, so I can deal with her. 👍

Was called by UPS that package will be delivered today - August 31, 2022 by 8 30 PM will have to see. Store is located 17 miles from my location. Expected delivery from store not NC. Should NOT have taken 7 days for delivery to North Central Florida from Raleigh NC.

Ordered refurbished part/received junkyard part

Ordered online: a vacuum brake booster for my '91 Jeep. This was supposed to be a reconditioned part. Received it on time, but trusted it would be okay. When the repair shop was ready to install it, I opened the box to find a part straight from the junkyard: rusted, filthy, broken rubber, and human hairs stuck to it. I wish Trustpilot allowed images to be posted!
Advance Auto Parts' website states that parts can be returned to a nearby store. But on driving there, the store *would not* accept the return: the website lies.
Now I have to send it back via USPS or UPS - at my expense.
Edit, following day:
Called Advance's Customer Service line. They put me on hold for a long time while they called the store that refused the return, then came back to say that Advance Auto Parts was standing by the store's refusal: they would not even accept the return if I shipped it to them!
To sum up: I have a junk part, I'm out $190.28, and Advance Auto Parts believes I'm a scammer trying to return my old, broken part!

EDIT, one week later:
After several phone calls and several emails with photos to Advance's Customer Service people, I was shocked to receive a phone call from the manager of the local Advance store that had originally refused the return. Victor was finally ready to acknlowedge that Advance had erroneously shipped me someone else's returned core, that I was not in fact a scammer, and refunded my $190.00. Thanks, Victor.
A good ending :^) to a very bad week :^(

Good Business

I have had many dealings with Advance Auto over the years. I have never had any problems whatsoever. If there was a defective part they made it good immediately. They can also offer a good advice and tools when needed. I highly recommend them

Advance Auto no parts support

I purchase a fuel pump for my 1979 Jeep CJ7, replaced it drove about 200 miles on it, it stops pumping. Towed home tested the pump no pressure, the Ramsey NY location did not have another pump so I went the Nanuet New York Advance auto. Nanuet said they could not refund me for the purchase of the 2nd pump I had to go back to Ramsey for my refund of the bad pump.

So installed the 2nd pump from Nanuet it leaked fuel. I sourced a 3rd pump from a different parts supplier. That pump is running fine.

I returned to the Ramsey Advance Auto to get a refund and I am told they could only do an exchange, I told them I did not need an exchange as i all ready replaced both pumps as they were defective. I was told they could not issue a refund or give me a store credit.

I have just finished restoring the Jeep and have hundreds if not thousands of dollars of Advance Auto’s parts in the Jeep. I am not adding the thousands of dollars of parts for my other vesicles.

I will not be using Advance Auto Parts as they do not support their customers.

For about fifty dollars you lost me as a customer.

And one more thing Felix the old store manager would have taken care of me.

The Advance Auto Part warranty LIE

Advance Auto Parts Limited Lifetime Warranties are a LIE. They only cover manufacture defects for the life of the part; a term that they have defined as 4 years or less. It is their position that all parts wear out from use and age. Their receipts fade out in days if left in your car and the database system at the corporate office scrubs customer history of anything older than 4 years old. Your local store retains records for 2 years until it is lost during System Upgrades. You only have a warranty is you can prove it in court

If I could give this company zeros…

If I could give this company zeros stars I would. First off most STAY AWAY from the Broward county district of advanced auto parts I’ve been to multiple stores they’re customer service is very bad most of the employees don’t have a general knowledge of vehicles they are very rude and will tell you to google it or go on YouTube to find the problem very lazy when I comes to doing the free services that they offer such as odm testing your car ( they will say cause of Covid they can’t test your car which is a lie) If you buy a battery from they you have to ask them to install it even though it’s a free service for most vehicles if you don’t say anything they won’t do it. When it’s comes to ordering parts if the store doesn’t have them DO NOT PAY THEM TO ORDER THE PART I REPEAT DO NOT PAY THEM TO ARDER THE PART. They’re drives who make the deliveries are very careless and will lose the part the you paid to order and if you call customer service and corporate they won’t do anything about it also I e complained about rude customer service from in store in employees and given the names of those employees to corporate and they will not reprimand those works for they’re rude language also when they sell electrical items they don’t nor refund them but when the sell those types of items the don’t not tell you that they are nonrefundable they just sell them to you knowing they should say something first but the generally just care about getting the sale and i didn’t even tell you about how they lost a part that I order and when I called corporate they did nothing about I strongly recommend auto zone or orileys over this company completely unprofessional rude sometimes they sell you a part that is already defective just bad for busy in general I’m so pissed right now I’m going to make a video of my actually experience with the company and upload it to my social media

Check the NON-refundable items and categories list!

Before you buy anything from advanced auto go online and make sure that its not on the list of non refundable items that nobody in the store will tell you about.
They wont tell you at the store or online before you buy something. Also, be aware that some of the items on the list are actually CATEGORIES! Fore example The Bullet point "AC" stands for ANYTHING that's part of, or connected to, the AC system! The only point when you will be told of this list is when you try to return a item and they refuse to process the return. Their only response will be to give you a paper with a number to call. The person behind the counter will say that it might be a quick call, but they know that is a lie, as the company on the other end, (NOT advanced auto) does not have the ability to do anything. The company will only be able to provide a physical street address that you can PHYSICALLY MAIL A LETTER TO! Ending the call by stating very clearly, that they are NOT guaranteeing anything will come of the request if it is mailed. I bought an AC compressor from these people for over 500 dollars, and its now nothing more than a paperweight.

Car trouble

I needed help with a problem with my 1999 jeep Cherokee classic. The people there were very helpful and I was incredibly pleased when I left. This was not a easy problem to solve but I felt that there was no trouble. They made my experience easy and saved me money. I shop at this store for the customer service and will continue to.

Poor service

This company, according to it's staff, has a "no help" policy due to "litigation concerns". I am disabled and requested assistance installing a front headlight bulb (literally plugging it into the bulb socket) and was told nyet. Very unfortunate.

Misrepresentation of services; bad customer service

I came for a battery because mine is dead. Got jumped off to bring it in. Was told a simple air filter assembly was in the way so they could not change it. Sure enough, the sign has fine print. Too late the car won't start back up. I mentioned I'm now stranded in 90° weather. The manager on duty suggested I should have broken Texas law and left my car running unattended while going in. They did not offer a charge or a jump and do not even provide a place to sit and wait for outside help. This is not the first time I have been in similar situations at Advance Auto. I will try hard in the future to remember this is not the only parts store in town by telling everyone I know my story.
