During my internship

During my internship, I carried out various tasks, ranging from working with bank account statements and analysing them to registering invoices. I classified all transactions into the appropriate types of income and expenses.

I also visited cultural sites, including churches and historical parks, and I visited the Douglas Hyde Gallery. I went on a tour around Dublin, where we learned a lot about Ireland’s history. I also visited the zoo, mountains, and cliffs. I did a lot of walking and discovered many interesting places in Dublin.

I improved my English language skills by communicating with colleagues during my internship and by using professional terminology. I also gained a better understanding of the Irish tax system.

I developed my skills in using Microsoft Excel and had the opportunity to try “Sage 50,” which is an accounting software. I was trained on how to register received goods and services, as well as income, in the system.

I improved my communication and teamwork skills, as some tasks required collaboration with multiple colleagues. I also learned to think more critically. In my opinion, I have also gained a better understanding of Irish culture, national dishes, and related aspects.

I really liked my host family and the support from ADC College. I truly enjoyed this experience, and it has opened many opportunities to achieve my future goals.

Dublin experience

My stay in Dublin was amazing. The city felt like a different world to me. The people were different in a positive way – friendly, kind, and open-minded. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the new experience. The organization was reliable and well organized. I liked that they arranged transport to the accommodation. Whenever there was a problem, the organization solved it quickly. I felt supported during my stay. Overall, it was a great experience and I am very happy I had this opportunity.

Great, but the daily commute to work?

My whole stay in Dublin was great. The only thing that really bothered me was the commute to my job. It was long something about 1,5 hour. Which are 3 hours in total (only if I was lucky, the traffic was terrible) which was really timeconsuming. That's the reason why I had time for trips only at the weekends. But besides of that, everything was fine!

Thank you very much! We are sorry about your commute, traveling in Dublin is definitely one of the "special" things about the city but we are glad you enjoyed your stay overall :).

I would recommend ADC College to other schools. It is helpful in everything you need to know, solve or help with.

I would recommend the Berlitz School in Dublin cause I felt very comfortable there, everyone was helpful to me, especially a centre manager Elizabeth Flanigan. The teachers were very creative, willing to adapt and accept me to observe their teaching methods. I could participate in education games they realized. I have improved my English.

Amazing time! 5 stars :)

I had an amazing time with ADC College in Dublin! 😊

The whole programme was super organised, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. From the moment I arrived, everything was sorted. My host family was sooooo welcoming, and the English lessons were actually fun (not boring like in school 😅).

What I liked the most was my internship. It was a great way to practise my English in a real work environment and learn about Irish work culture. It’s really different but really fun, too. Plus, Dublin is such a cool city—there is always something to do after class or work.

The whole experience felt personal although we were quite a few students when I was there. They really care about making sure everything is going well for you. And the student lounge is great, too. Makes you feel right at home. I would 100% recommend ADC College to everyone. I’m sad I must go back to Germany…

Danke, ADC College! 🍀

They don't respect the agreement of the contract.

Don't even go, the host families are bad they don't respect the terms of the contract and not friendly. The people from ADC threats you like an animal you and they say that you are happy for having fish to dinner. The host families had a lot of problems and if you announce that to the ADC they are like "You have to handel it yourself, because communication is the key".

As they gave a useless response to the last review I will now go more in detail.

I was promised a interview with this company, and therefore took a day of from my current work in order to be able to have the interview.
A few minutes after the interview was supposed to start, I get an email that they have technical problems and ask to reschedule.
I once again take a new day of work to be ready for the new interview, just to be told less than 5 minutes before the interview that they have already hired someone else.
I took 2 days off (unpaid), just to have both interviews cancelled with no notice.
So this joke of company did cost.me quite a lot of money, for absolutely nothing

This is the most unserious company I have ever experienced, and I can't wait for them to go bankrupt (thankfully I have good connections in the education sector in Sweden)

If their way of treating customers is even half as bad as to how they treat job applicants, then I would not recommend anyone to use this company.
Recommend everyone to find a more professional company to use, so that this joke can go bankrupt as soon as possible
