Horrible
Horrible. Customer service is abysmal. I had an unauthorized charge on my debit card. I called to let them know and they told me I had to immediately cancel my card, and they would issue me a new one. The new one would take at least seven business days to get to me.I said I couldn't go that long without access to my money because I needed to pay my rent and other bills. I said don't cancel my card, I'll call the company and then call you back. The customer service rep refused and said no,I had to cancel my card immediately and I had said I had an unauthorized charge on a taped line, so I had no other choice. He said, for $25 fee they could express the card to me, and I would get it in 2 to 3 days. Which is still a long time if you ask me, but I agreed.
I then called the company that had taken the money myself, told them I had disputed the charge, and they immediately refunded the money. Apparently, disputing the charge to your credit card company is a big deal. It's too late because my account is canceled and I'm stuck waiting for this card. It's the week of the 4th of July so there's a delay. UPS loses the express package, of course. I don't receive my card until 7 days later. By now, my rent is late, I've incurred a late charge on that. I've wasted my days off for the vacation because I can't go anywhere and have no cash. I called Achieve card several times to alert them that the card had not gotten to me in 2 to 3 business days. I let them know about the incredible inconvenience and that I had asked them to wait to cancel the card initially. Their response to me was, they had done what they were supposed to do on their end, so, to paraphrase, it sucks to be me. They wouldn't refund the $25 to expedite the card. They really have no concept of customer service. Seriously. Not one drop. I told them I had been a customer for 10 years. They didn't care. I told them that when I got my card I was going to clean out my account and close it. The service rep actually asked me what they had done that was so bad that I would do that. I relayed the story that I just told you. His response was, oh I see.
Apparently Achieve card has so many customers that they don't need to do anything to keep them, or get new ones. Their monthly fees are high, at 9.95 a month. Their ATM fees are high at 2.25 a use, and they have no other benefits. If you need a prepaid credit card there are lots of other cards out there that offer all kinds of benefits. I know because I've researched them and I'm going with them.
Thanks for nothing Achieve card. At this rate, you'll be out of business soon.
