Unprofessional, unreliable, racist liars

Made appointment, arrived and was told there was no record of this. Julian decided to see acting as though he was doing me a favour but then recalled our telephone conversation. Discussed needs, budget etc and had general conversation. Julien was very knowledgeable and provided excellent advise as to where would be suitable for my family. He then took details including budget which he said was very reasonable and assured me that he could find something within or less than this. He said he would put something together and that it would take some time so there was no point me staying, He said that it was his job and he loved it and had been in the business for 40 years. He said I would receive an email either later that day or by Monday. Having heard nothing on the Tuesday, I called and was told he was with a customer. The same on Wednesday when I was again told by another agent that he was dealing with my holiday and that he would be in touch. 1 week later, nothing so I called and was told that he was off but that he would contact me. I was told that it had been very busy with people coming in. I said that I had come in having been told to do this and on a pre arranged appointment, but that I was then asked to leave him to deal with it. I've heard nothing up to this day over 2 weeks later. I wasted a whole week and was fortunate to find another agent who found an excellent holiday for us. Abbots could have had whatever commission they get but for whatever reason, and I can only think of discrimination, he didn't even have the decency to 1-do what he offered; 2- let me know that he either wasn't going to or couldn't do it. I've read a similar review which I am inclined to agree with, maybe he thought that because I wasn't Caucasion, I couldn't afford what I said was our budget. Black people work and we like nice things including holidays for our families. If I couldn't afford it, why would I have reserved the whole day to sit and discuss our needs with you? We are now off to another part of the world thanks to a professional proper agent. Abbotts, don't lie to people. Don't make appointments and then when the ethnic person turns up pretend that no appointment was made and don't waste our time with fanciful promises when you have absolutely no intention of acting like an agent. Total time wasters.

Hi Thank you for visiting our Trustpilot page. I do understand you had a negative experience at another company we are based in the small town of Royston and do not have a Julien working here. Our company is called Abbot Travel not Abbots and I think you confused us with a London Based Company called Abbotts

If I could give it 0 stars

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. The only good travel agent there has left. We’ve contacted 3 times to try to book a holiday and I cannot believe how arrogant and pompous they are, especially the blonde lady. Walk in, don’t even look up or say hi. They look at your as if you don’t have money to pay for the holiday. Instead of helping customers, they’re sat there having general chit chat. So many better travel agents online now that are happy to help and book. Don’t waste your time. The good reviews on here are form years ago, don’t be fooled.

Abbots travel provides an excellent…

Abbots travel provides an excellent service . I phoned for some advice re possible travel to Majorca and Julienne could not have been more helpful . I wouldn’t hesitate to book through them if I was travelling especially at the moment with Covid restrictions . They would help and guide you through the process and take that stress out of it .
