Upsetting; a shop not bothered to make a sale.
I visited Abbeygate Lighting (Norwich) today. I needed lighting for four rooms. I wandered round for quite a while - i approached a woman sales assistant stating what I was looking for. I didn’t finish my sentence and she waved an arm and said - over there. I went to the general area she was pointing but there were a few flat panel lights - which were not what I asked for. I wandered round still looking but the sales assistant had disappeared through a door. I gave up and as i approached the door to leave a chap appeared but made no attempt to help. I had spent 20 odd mins in the shop.
I went elsewhere, got all four lights plus one standard lamp, at a cost of £1200 pounds. The sales assistant at the second shop listened to what it was I wanted, pointed stuff out and helped me select the bulbs I needed.
Obviously Abbeygate don’t believe in staff training, in staff social skills and the company obviously don’t need the money. Poor show Abbeygate.
