I ordered a “Nikon Coolpix P510 16.1 Megapixel Digital Camera” from 42nd Street Photo’s website for $325. I received an email the same day confirming my purchase for $325. The next day, 42nd Street photo sent me an email to contact them. I called them and a man explained that the $325 price was a mistake, the actual price was $500. As of today, 03/13/2026, the camera is still listed on their website for $325. I asked him to cancel my order. He then said he could offer me a “display” camera for $425. I reluctantly agreed. About five minutes later, I called him back and asked him to cancel my order. He said he would cancel the order. The next day, I received an email stating that my purchase was shipped with USPS and a tracking number was provided. I called my local Post Office and said I was refusing the package and to send it back to the sender. 42nd Street Photo received it back. I contacted 42nd Street three times and requested a full refund. They would not say if they would refund me the $425. Later, I received an email that a refund was issued. Whenever I checked my credit card balance, I was credited only $384.50 instead of $425.00. I was cheated out of $40.50. I contacted 42nd Street Photo and they said the $40.50 was a restocking fee. I do not recommend doing business with 42nd Street Photo.

I've been a customer of 42photo for approx 7 years and there is a reason I keep going back. I have bought Nikon z teleconverters, L-brackets, UV filters, tripods, backpacks and film, most recently Godox flash to replace an old one. All the items are well made and built to last. Will be a returning customer for many years. Thanks for the great service.

Pristine condition for a used camera. You would not be able to tell it was used, even the packaging looks brand new. Highly competitive price and camera is backed by a store warranty. Recommended to all camera enthusiasts.

The film delivers! Nice crisp negatives similar to TriX400 and a classic film look.
I always get nervous with shipping film, but 42PHOTO is always so meticulous about ensuring my film is extra packed with no room for damage!

I went there to buy a SD card for my Pocket 3, the staff are nice, John helped and showed me how to use my camera.

This store and the people who work there go well beyond the average customer care and support. They're patient, helpful and knowledgeable. They get back pretty promptly and make the extra effort.

Purchased a new Sigma 56mm contemporary lens for my Sony camera at a good price from 42nd Street Photo. Item was dispacthed the same day and arrived the following day. Item was neatly packaged. I will use this company again.

Bought a lensbaby sweet 35 Canon ef today. What amazing customer service! He took the time to explain everything I needed for the lens and blurred sharpness also taught me how to use it. He genuinely cares about his customers and wants you to experience the best out of your gear. Couldn't recommend it more!!

Excellent customer service.
We had popped in with our camera while traveling in New York as we thought we had a defective autofocus in the lens. We wanted to spend more on a new lens. The gentleman who helped us tried one of his lenses, but it was misaligned and he noted it couldn't fit. Then he examined the fitting and found a loose screw and had it fixed in a minute...!!!

Great experience ordering a Canon rf lens for travel/everyday shooting suggested by their team member, the shop rang me on Monday informing me there may be a slight delay on my lens but they've clearly put the effort in to get it to me on time with it arriving in less than the estimated duration,
