The process for ordering glasses was seamless. The selection and pricing incomparable. The delivery was unexpectedly fast. 5 Stars easily!

I feel like the selection isn't very good for me personally. All of the frames that fit me before that I liked are now completely unavailable so it feels like I have to settle for frames I don't like very much just because I know they'll fit. There used to be multiple frames with dimensions that fit me that I could choose from and this last time I could only find 1 frame and honestly the nose area is still a little too wide. I think the search function could be better so it's easier to locate frames most likely to fit.

I'm in Sweden, fully aware that oversea shipping might take a while. When ordered my eyeglasses, I also got this notification saying that shipping could take a couple of weeks. Fine with me then.

I placed and paid the order March 12th. They (probably) started shipping March 16th. Today, it's April 16th and still no eyeglasses.

Eyeglasses are pretty important. I began contacting them March 24, asking about where the eyeglasses were. Received a reply with a link to usps tracking.

The tracking started March 16th when the eyeglasses (perhaps) were sent. To this day, the tracking hasn't been updated, regardless if I empty browser cookies, etc. It still sits as handled by some sending company/authority March 16th. Nothing else.

Ok. shit happens. Small packages might fall into craves and whatnot and "disappear". I get that.

What I don't get is how 39dollarglasses has handled this. I have asked them to try find where the shipment is, which they refused or couldn't.

I begged them on April 14th, i.e. more than a month after I paid and placed the order, to at least cancel the order and give me a refund or renew the order and send me a new shipment of the same eyeglasses, thinking it would satisfy a customer (who paid a month ago but still hasn't received the goods).

Nah. 29dollarglasses replied that they won't do anything unless the shipping company (arranged by 29dollarglasses, not me) decides that the shipment is lost.

So. I'm sure (or at least hope) that the eyeglasses they provide are fine. But their customer handling, at least to me, is as poor as it gets.

the glasses came and the right lens went out of focus with just a 5 degree turn of my head left or right.
Sent them back they emailed and said they checked the lens and no problem.
I said refund my money so they did :

I had my lenses replaced and it was super easy and very quick turn around.

Easy to use website. Prompt help by chat. End price was $193, not $39 of course. But my eye doctor wanted $819.

I saved over 60% by having new lenses instalkled in my prescription sunglasses. The turnaround time was reasonable too. Very pleased with this company and the re-lense concept.

I have worn glasses for many, many years. I had a corneal transplant a little over a year ago. My ophthalmologist wrote an updated eyeglass prescription. I have always had an odd/difficult prescription due to being born with lazy eye 60+ years ago that was never corrected. Thus, one lens requires a much different prescription from the other.

Due to that, I have always been hesitant about ordering eyeglasses from a distance. I took the plunge and have been pleasantly surprised. The price is outstanding. I like being able to pick the lenses with various features without someone standing over me trying to upsell me.

The glasses were made in a timely fashion, shipped during bad weather and I was notified of possible delays. No real delays noticed. I received the glasses a few days ago and have had time to test them out indoors and outdoors. These are as good a pair of glasses as I have ever had and I never had to leave my home to get them.

Based on my experience, I highly recommend giving these folks a go. Be sure and read all warranty/remake details, which are clearly posted on the website.

**Defective lenses, then dishonesty when held accountable**

I ordered prescription transition lenses in September 2025. Two issues from the start — the transitions only partially activated (bottom right corner darkening while the rest stayed clear, causing dizziness), and excessive glare that made them unusable at a computer or in photos. I've worn transition lenses for years and have never experienced anything close to this.

When I contacted customer service, a representative acknowledged the defect in writing and opened an RMA outside their standard 90-day window — because they believed it was a manufacturing issue. That was the honest response.

Once I filed a chargeback, the story changed overnight. Management inspected the same glasses and suddenly declared them "working properly," denied any defect, and tried to send them back. The only variable that changed between "I definitely believe is a defect issue" and "working properly" was financial accountability.

I had to resolve this through my credit card company, who ruled in my favor. A $132.95 order shouldn't require that level of effort — but the contradiction between their own team's assessments made a straightforward resolution impossible.

If you order from here and everything arrives fine, you'll probably be satisfied. But if something goes wrong, know that the honesty you get from frontline support may not survive contact with management.

Quick order turn around, decent quality glasses, and a very affordable price. This will have been my 4th order. Nice to have affordable glasses when your prescription changes more quickly than you'd like. They aren't designer glasses but I'm not interested in paying 10 times the price for a name stamped on the side. There are plenty of choices that are close to the designer styles anyway.

I bought the same glasses at least 3 years ago if not longer. They've been great & I'm still wearing them. But I was still getting worried they may break at some point. I have others, but they are not as comfortable as these. So I ordered another pair. They came very quickly and are the same, nice glasses I've been wearing. Thank you!!

i love these glasses and this website! i had ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses before and i still use them. but these glasses, i guess where they are fake silver; turned my skin green haha. like how fake jewelry does, so if you have metal allergies — i don’t recommend this pair. i get green strips near my temples and the backs of my ears get very irritated unfortunately. and i cannot afford a new pair rn :’).
