You’re a shit company
You’re a shit company. Cannot be trusted with my data. And have made it vertually impossible to cancel my data or these stupid emails coming in! Hope karma catches up..

Im thankful that tools like this exist
Im thankful that tools like this exist, specifically to help find lost or even unknown relatives. However, this tool could be more user-friendly. I found it hard to navigate the features. Its hard to determine what applied to specifically based on mt DNA versus a generality. The only thing I understand is who my relatives are. Other than that I dont fully understand how to work this tool.

Satisfied customer
In my experience, 23andme has been a very good company providing an interesting and useful service. I appreciate the information on likely relatives in their client database, the countries of my ancestors, as well as the recent addition of ancient dna relatives. The health information is of interest and will become even more useful as more biomarkers are identified for screening. I have never experienced security problems with my information.
If you’re thinking of buying their kit…
If you’re thinking of buying their kit because you want to trace your lineage “as far back” as possible, I’d say you’ll get valuable information — but it may reflect broad regional roots rather than named ancestors hundreds of years ago. Overall I’d rate the service as good, especially for what it promises, but I’d advise you to go in with realistic expectations about how far the traceability really reaches.
The price is outrageous
The price is outrageous. I watched a video of congress grilling 23me about how are information will be sold to the highest bidder!

I have been super happy with my 23 and me. I got the package with the medical too. That was handy to have, and my Dr. Was happy to put my info in my chart.
Love this product!
I've been using 23 and me for years
I've been using 23 and me for years and it's been very helpful to trace ancestry as well as my medical condition.
Improved informative about countries of origin
I like the medical reports as well as the new, more informative percentages of ethnic origin

Ancient, not modern.
I don't like that DNA is compared to modern peoples only. I'm over half English. But English are mutts. I want to know the breakdown. Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Wiking, Norman, Roman. Basically the Celtic natives and all the conquering peoples.
I like how 23 & Me makes a DNA family…
I like how 23 & Me makes a DNA family tree which locates where newly found DNA cousins, which I did not know existed, are on my tree.

How many more times can my ethnicity change?
It seems that ethnicity and nationality are blurred in these results.

You better watch out
I enjoyed the app for 23andMe at first. After a while, it became all about money. They just want me to become an exclusive member and give them more money so I can access more information and once that happens, then I can become an even more exclusive member by giving them even more money to get even more information. I’m kinda done with the whole DNA thing. It was a gift from my son and all I know is, I’m glad I behaved myself when I was younger. Because if you didn’t, they will catch you now. That’s the only thing I think is really cool about DNA. They keep catching all these murderers from the 1980s.
