After 2 days of research into portable oxygen devices, the conclusion was nothing on Amazon gave me all the features I was looking for. Then internet searches revealed only a handful of devices that... See more

We had a medical emergency requirement for an oxygen concentrator. We called several companies and went with LPT. We got us a Teladoc medical appointment so that we could get the prescription for the machine. He is spectacular

The overall experience was quick and easy. The sales person was very knowledgeable about the O2 concentrator that we were wanting. He answered all our questions. The financing person was courteous and was able to make sure everything was affordable to us. We appreciate the great experience we had with our purchase. I went with them because of the long…
I went with them because of the long battery life. We spend the entire day at the Cancer treatment center so I needed a lot of battery for my husband. The 7-hour battery, less about three and a half hours. The two three hour batteries, last about an hour. I have to take the charger and find a place to plug it when we're down there for 9 to 10 hours. After receiving it my husband went on hospice so we no longer needed it. I was told we had 30 days to return it once it was delivered. One week before that 30 days I started trying to call, and my calls were avoided once they found out what I wanted. My son-in-law started calling so they wouldn't recognize my number. Now he's getting the runaround. If I can't return it, I will have to be paying payments on something I can't use. And this was a very expensive piece of equipment.
Stay away from this company
I Never dealt with a company that cares less about their patience. We bought an oxygen concentrator from them. It broke within the first four months. It’s still under warranty, but it will take 10 weeks and $400 to get it repaired. When we said, what do we do without an oxygen concentrator for the 10 weeks they said just buy another one from them and every time one breaks you could just keep mailing it back And you will always have one. The concentrator has an internal filter that can go bad every six months so you need to keep sending them back every six months to be repaired. And paying for the repair Stay away from this company
Warning: Issues with P2-S3 Oxygen Concentrator & Customer Service
Purchased the "new" POC Model P2-S3 for my elderly mother on March 11, 2024, and it arrived on March 19, 2024. We utilized it three times without any issues to transport her to appointments, as she typically uses a different oxygen concentrator at home. However, during the fourth use in early May, the device abruptly shut off after just over an hour of use and wouldn't turn back on, despite the battery showing 57% charge.
Contacted their 800 number the following day, only to be informed that they lacked technicians over the weekend. Finally reached them on Monday, and after troubleshooting, it was determined that the battery needed replacement. Unfortunately, they didn't have the triple battery I initially received, offering three single batteries instead. Shortly after, received a message stating that, since the device was outside the 30-day window, I'd need to cover shipping costs for the battery exchange, totaling $30.
Expressed my frustration regarding the unexpected shipping charges, to which the "Customer Service" representative defensively responded, emphasizing the expense of batteries and insinuating I was accusatory. Requested a supervisor callback, which I have yet to receive. In summary, while this may be a lengthy review, I urge potential buyers to consider alternative companies and devices.
DON'T DO IT!!!!! Protect your health.
I STRONGLY advise finding a different company. This company, as evident by many other reviews, exercise predatory practices. In our case, the purchased portable oxygen concentrator stopped working a few months after purchase. We were given a run-around by several employees over a couple of months before they finally agreed to replace the unit.
We were charged $90 for shipping, were told it would take 6-8 weeks for a return, and an additional $300 for a "loaner" P.O.C.
Review the other reviews. Many have has similar experiences with defective product, predatory practices, and constant "nickel and diming" to ensure they get as much money out of you as possible. If you cannot go without supplemental oxygen, consider a different company. 1st Class Medical isn't worth the money, frustration, or time.
PROTECT YOUR HEALTH and look elsewhere.
New oxygen generator
I have purchased a set of oxygen generator from LPT to years ago and the unit wasn’t working properly. I called and spoke with Mr. Collin about the unit and purchased a different unit. He was very helpful and very honest and will go out of the way to help you he spoke for over an hour the first time I called in 30 minutes. The second time I called he goes out of the way and is a very honest representative. I highly recommend him if you purchased from first medical care LPT.
Cheated on transaction
When I called Collin, the unit I had was not working and was still a few days within the warranty period. Instead of sending the unit in for repair, I was talked into purchasing a new concentrator and would receive up to $600 when I returned the old concentrator, case, 1 extra battery, and external charger. He said if all were in good shape, I should have no problem of receiving the full $600. I returned everything and it took a long time for someone to contact me with the refund amount. When they did, I was only offered $100. I learned it was because the warranty on the concentrator had expired. Had I known that, I would have sent it in and had it repaired before it expired. I did not accept the $100 and had her send everything back to me. This whole transaction was just wrong and I still do not agree with the amount offered for the unit. Collin said nothing about the warranty affecting the amount I would receive for the old unit. I feel cheated on this transaction.
Horrible experience
Horrible experience. They initially sent a “new”ARYA O2 concentrator which was obviously used. It failed immediately and they replaced with another ARYA. This appeared new but after a year of light use it sounds like a tractor trailer and over heats. The sales dept. couldn’t care less, told me to ship it back at my expense, wait six weeks (Really?) or upsell me another unit for additional 1900.00. Other issues were never sending tubing or cannulas as promised and don’t believe a word they tell you re. Medicare reimbursement. Out of pocket 4000.00. Reimbursement including secondary, about 26.00 a month. After the sale NO follow up. Always tell you somebody will call, but they never do.
My portable concentrator purchase
My Rep Josh provided all the information needed for me to make a decision on my purchase. He followed up with me and the purchase shipping process was seamless.

If you're in acute respiratory distress…
If you're in acute respiratory distress I would strongly suggest you go to the ER and order the portable generator from there instead. I instead tried the overnight for the next day and was repeatedly assured by Maggie W. that it wouldn't be a problem. I followed their normal process and contacted Dr. P., a 3rd part business, who charged me $150 USD via phone but who never faxed the money back to 1stClassMedical and thus no order made it overnight. Then next morning I spoke with a very helpful gentleman names John at 1stClassMedical who was very sympathetic and helpful and he sent a brand new unit (in parallel with the original) for overnight but it too neither arrived (it's arriving Saturday) so now I must hope that UPS will finally deliver one or both Monday morning. Each side blames the other with no resolution and potentially thousands of dollars lost (glad I used a CC)! Overall a very unprofessional process! Always buy it with a CC, and while you're still relatively healthy, or from an ER. You can always cancel a CC charge!
Collin was caring, courteous and knowledgeable.
Collin was caring, courteous, and knowledgeable. The business was finished within ten minutes. This is the first time since the covid pandemic that I talked to an experienced representative who knows what he was doing.
Nathaniel
Nathaniel, our customer service representative, was accommodating and provided me with options when purchasing the equipment for my Dad. He followed through with what he said he would do and ensured we were informed. THANK YOU!!!
