What a gem
What a gem! The staff were helpful friendly and smiled a lot. My room was well appointed and scrupulously clean with a very comfortable bed. The food was excellent. Special shout out for Mary on reception for her concern for me when I was having to wait to be collected. A great experience. I will be back.

Valentines Day event
This was our second Valentines celebration at Wortley Hall. There were more people here this year and we were in the Dining Room rather than the Ballroom where we were last year. The room package was again very good and we requested the same room that we had last year. MaryTargett went out of her way to grant this request. The 5-course meal was very good and although I didn't like the meat choice for the main course we had plenty of food that I did enjoy.
Breakfast the following morning was self service buffet and more than adequate but the eggs and the bacon were dry.
I do hope that they are charging enough for these events to be able to do the repairs and replacements that the Hall requires because some of the areas are in need of attention.
