Fishing Guinea-Bissau with World Sport fishing
I will start with the fact that my solo trip to Guinea-Bissau at the end of September was cancelled due to the Moroccan government's decision to suspend flights from the Uk due to the Covid outbreak. I got an offer for another trip at a future date from WSF Transfer travel but decided to get a refund. I was hoping to get my money back from Lloyd’s bank travel insurance, but it was very difficult.... After a few months of waiting, I got a negative answer from the bank insurance. I then contacted WSF and asked if they had the possibility to reschedule the fishing trip. After a few months I got good news from the WSF ... I'm going fishing in Guinea Bissau on May 18. They found me a fishing mate from Austria ... I can't say how I thankful I was to WSF, what a great company ...!!!!!
Now About Traveling
The whole journey from start to the end went perfectly without any interruption. Hotel at the Orango Island was excellent, cottages on the shore overlooking the sea. Breakfast was OK, dinner supper, lunch served on the board or on the shore OK. The boats were good, fast and although they don't have enough Rod gimbals. We each had 5 rods in this part lying on the deck. It would be good to have 8 rod holdalls on the roof. Skippers were very professional and knew their job... how to find the fish ...
Fishing
This is a real fishing paradise. We were fishing using a lot of fishing techniques, spinning, jigging, bottom fishing, trolling, balloon fishing, beach fishing spinning, beach fishing-surf fishing, anchor trolling, and all time with success. We caught a big number of different species of fish.
Would I go WITH THE WSF AGAIN?
Definitely yes. This is a well organized fishing adventure to angler’s haven…. Well done Richard!!!! Well done World Sea Fishing.
Thank you .... and see you next year ....
