Worldpackers has really opened my eyes and mind to so many exciting opportunities to explore the rest of the world and, simultaneously, make positive contributions to worthwhile causes.

Worldpackers is preferable to the other well known volunteering organization at least to me. Worldpackers really did have your back as you travel the world volunteering. While all of my hosts have been great there have been some issues. When I have reached out to Worldpackers, they respond timely and with empathy. The weighted reviews help keep reviews honest and transparent. Please note though, that this lifestyle does have its challenges and is not for the meek.

As travelers looking for volunteering opportunities I find worldpackers to be a great source to connect with those who are open and willing to have an exchange. However in my experience so far I have seen a few things that I think could be improved. Such as clarity on what the accommodation, I have seen many offerings where all the accommodations choices are selected and when I ask them if it’s private or shared they would simply won’t respond again or they cancel the invitation. Si clarity on the offering it’s important.
I also feel like they could show pictures of the actual accommodation they offer to the volunteers, not the one they rent to their guests.
I think we all want to have a great experience and we just need to put a little more effort in communicate better.
Thank you @worldpackers for the opportunity to express my view.

The platform allows me to travel saving money and exploring new ways on the places I go. See more of local culture, know people, practice the language and improve skills or learn new ones.

Worldpackers has completely transformed the way I see travel. Instead of just visiting places, I now get to truly experience them, meet locals, and build meaningful connections all over the world. The app makes everything super easy from browsing opportunities to chatting with hosts and applying.
I love how transparent the profiles and reviews are, which makes me feel safe and confident before traveling. The support team is also amazing, and the community vibe is really strong.
It’s not just about saving money on accommodation it’s about learning new skills, giving back, and becoming part of a global family. I’ve discovered hidden gems, met incredible people, and had experiences I never would have had through normal travel.
If you want to travel with purpose, meet inspiring people, and create memories that last a lifetime, Worldpackers is the way to go!

Worldpackers is advertising itself to have a sort of "success guarantee", meaning if do don't find a host, you get your subscription payment back. This did not work at all for me. I applied to eight hosts or so, and five of them answered me, but out of these, all of them declined my request. One of them wasn't home, one of them had a visa challenge they haven't mentioned in their profile, and the other three said I was very welcome, but only two or three months after the time I requested for, which was absolutely not doable for me. But since people have responded to my messages, even though negatively, and I had no way of actually volunteering, I had to pay 60 Dollars for that. ONLY when NOBODY responds at all, you can get your money back. That, I find absolutely ridiculous, and a complete rip-off. I didn't use any of the services Worldpackers provided, got pressured into watching a bunch of useless videos to get "certified", and ended up just wasting my time and money. Never. Again. Use Wwoofing, Helpex, or any of the other hundred platforms out there. I have much better experiences with them.

The family is very nice, friendly, empathetic, and serves very healthy and delicious meals. They also teach you how to fish, feed animals, plant plants, and become more sensitive and cultured people. I'm very grateful for this wonderful experience.

I needed support to log in, I emailed the team and had imediate response and prompt directions. Great service!

Between them pressuring you to watch these videos to get certificates and badges and them not holding hosts accountable for responding to applications or limiting hours on volunteers..id say no. Not a good experience. They are happy to take your money and not give you a refund when you ask after many failed attempts from non responsive or non existent hosts. They have a crappy 30 day refund policy if you have not been accepted by any hosts. I

I had a bad experience with a host and Worldpackers just ignored me. They don't give support to the volunteers. Don't recommend at all.
