Outstanding Customer Service, Yes, Even From a Software Vendor!

Even with our limited experience with Workfront (< 1 year) I can say the software is exactly what we need in order to consolidate project management tools and meetings and gain user adoption in order to provide the necessary data to management for making enterprise decisions.

We greatly appreciate Workfront's company culture and how it reflects in the solid software platform and willingness to listen and adapt to clients' needs.

WorkFront is a great tool for an …

WorkFront is a great tool for an organization to be able to really get themselves organized, forecasting future work, reporting, and overall communication. My only downfall is that sometimes there are TOO many ways of doing different tasks within the tool and can be very overwhelming to a new user/team. It would be helpful to have "best practices" to show what the most common way of using the tool is and so forth.

I would highly recommend Workfront

I would highly recommend Workfront. Their customer service is very good. They work hard to listen to your needs and to help you configure the system that will work for you and your team. We looked at many different project management tool solutions. Workfront was by far the best solution for us.

Robust and Comprehensive Solution!

Workfront is a very robust solution to workflow management! The support team is awesome and very accessible for customization and general questions. The biggest struggle has been taking pause and ironing out our processes on paper before we dive in and try to automate. Workfront can do so many things it's easy to get lost in the system. We need to slow down and walk before we run - we are focusing on the basics now and then will expand into some of other functionalities. The Workfront team encourages this and makes themselves accessible to help along the way.

Concept is good and there are a lot of advantages. The reporting is difficult to learn and too many clicks while using on regular basis. It really requires a full time staff member to become an expert.

Software is good and it helps make my …

Software is good and it helps make my job more efficient once you have the basics down. There are things that can be improved in the UI. It is not intuitive to a user who is familiar with only MS Project. If you are familiar with other task tracking tools, it is more easily picked up (i.e. Rally, Jira). Since I fall into the latter category, it was easy for me, however for much of our teammembers, it is not so easy. That is the reason for the 3 star rating. I am the exception, not the rule. Getting projects in and out of MS project and a much easier UI experience would greatly help.

Workfront - Great Software that's Easy to Use

I think that Workfront is a great software system to use for project management, especially for creative marketing projects. For the most part it's easy to use, seems intuitive and gives my team much more information regarding projects and reporting than any of our previous PM systems have in the past. And the fact that we can integrate different vendor software systems with Workfront makes it an even better tool for us to use with our extended teams. The reporting and the capacity planning functions are both areas where I think the software works well for me. And while ProofHQ is an asset, it still poses some challenges to some of our users, which I am trying to uncover. But all in all, Workfront is a great software program for our company to have in place after having just implemented it in December 2016. And the support we have received from the Workfront team has been excellent. Our smooth roll out last year could not have been possible without the support and guidance from the Workfront team. Thank you for the support and providing us with the tools we needed to get the job done!

Tool is good at the detailed task level …

Tool is good at the detailed task level but does not offer flexibility to manage work and report on work at a higher level. PMs need the ability to manage work by week or month (vs day) based on the number of projects they manage at once and need the ability to roll everything up to a portfolio level across objects.

Great Work Management System

They have a great work management system and it is very flexible to accommodate a lot of different types of workflows. We've consolidated our work into this single system and capture a lot of different information in custom forms and intake processes built into the system or into specific projects. They're constantly improving it and releasing new updates - we're looking forward to the new resource management tools coming in 2017. The customer service is pretty great as well and they provide a lot of good training info. My only complaint is some inconsistent speed/performance issues that need to be addressed. They're working on it but it has not yet been addressed.

Using Workfront to manage work

We've been using Workfront since 2009 and have expanded it's usage to different departments. We really rely on Workfront's capabilities to help organize our work, track our work, and report on our work. The reporting capabilities are stellar and unmatched. We are able to take advantage of the out of the box reports but also able to create ad-hoc, complex reports in no time. If its in the system, we can report off of it! The system has really help us collaborate more cross departments as well as improve our communication. We were able to stop using other software packages and focus all our work in Workfront, allowing people to be in one place for all their things and not having to jump around from place to place.

The user interface is outstanding as well. We are able to get users in there, up and running and managing their work in no time because it is simple and intuitive to use. Things just make sense in the software. If you would expect something to be in a certain place in the interface, most likely it is there.

I would highly recommend Workfront as a software package and as a partner to help bring your organization to the next level. Their team is available, always happy and eager to listen, and really value their customers.
