Up to a few months ago

Up to a few months ago, Mechanical Turk was fine, you completed a survey and got paid but now Oogla seem to have all the surveys, 3700 or so, yet very few are available, and when i complete the HIT it says, We have reached our maximum target, and then don't pay out.

SCAM and MAFIA

The site is done well and there is no shortage of jobs. What totally sucks is Amazon's behavior that totally doesn't give a damn about the workers.

Let me explain my recent experience.

I completed 157 HITs for Christopher Francese

The task at hand is crystal clear; check to see if the Chinese writing is the same as the writing below.

There are only two options, YES NO.

Good. The ones I did were ALL different because there was an underscore within the reported sentence that is NOT there in the original sentence.

The guy rejected ALL 157 HITs that I completed disintegrating my reputation and scamming me $15.

I contact Amazon support and after several emails explaining the matter they tell me to send them the HITs IDs.

I sent them the IDs and they replied that it is at the discretion of the principal whether to accept it or not even though I did the work CORRECTLY.

Are you kidding me?

This is unacceptable mafia. I mean, in addition to being scammed by that scumbag, they also destroyed my reputation, which is a mechanism put in place by Amazon to get better paid jobs.

Report this crap and spread it everywhere knowing that you can suffer theft and AMAZON DEFEND THEM by ruining your reputation.

Surveys and Hits are awesome

Surveys and Hits are awesome. However, the only downsize is the pay. Sometimes you dont get surveys that even pay 6.00 per hour. But the qualifications and hits are great on this site.

I started working at Amazon Mechanical…

I started working at Amazon Mechanical Turk and love it so far. Good way to earn extra money especially since I like shopping Amazon anyway! The jobs (Hits) keep my interest and are fun especially if you like data entry. I highly recommend Amazon Mechanical Turk to anyone wanting to earn a little extra! :)

99.9% great, but no UK payouts

If you live in the UK you can only get paid in Amazon.com vouchers. Which means you have to buy things from their USA website. Which means high postage / packaging / tax costs. But if you've got time on your hands it does, at least, pay something. For repetitive tasks I can earn between $1 - $1.50 an hour, which is poor, but there's no travel and it's filling a gap in time for me. Most of the people providing tasks are honest and you do get paid. So far I've done loads of tasks and only 1 requester has not paid me in a dishonest fashion (i.e. someone who clearly, deliberately wasn't going to pay despite me doing exactly what was asked), but I think that's to be expected.
