This company does not speak anything but lies.
Year and a half ago I had a call with Ilaria Licari.
She was adamant they will produce 1.8% return on my investment or they will give me 100% of my money back.
This is recorded in my contract as well.

They did not sell not even 1 book.
And when time for refund came they said they have made a deal to sell 20,000 copies of my book to different American bookstores.

It was Nathan, who sent me a list of the bookstores.
He said that they will print 13,000 copies via Amazon and I don't need to pay for this.
But I need to pay for 7,000 copies to be printed, which would cost around $56,000.
They said I have few days to send them the payment or the deal is off.

They said they cannot proceed with 13,000 copies only, and it is 20,000 copies or nothing.

This was already a very clear indication to me that they are lying. But I decided to call Amazon and some of the bookstores to ask them about it.

Amazon customer service has always been brilliant and the lady told me that it is impossible for Amazon to print my books for third parties, because for this to happen first they have to approve the book, which takes time and my book is currently NOT approved for this.

Then I called one of the bookstores and the automated phone operator said that this phone number is linked to scam calls so I was not connected.

I then called another bookstore and they said they have no idea who I am, they know nothing about my book and they have most assuredly not made any orders for my book.

I have this in writing, as I asked the bookstore to send me an email to confirm our phone conversation.

Since the stores were not aware in any way about my "order", clearly the $56,000 they wanted would go directly to their own pockets and I have no idea what kind of lies and excuses they would have found to not give them back.

THIS IS A CRIMINAL ACT
and I will be informing the police.

I then called Daniel from Woodbridge. He said that they discussed and decided to give me 100% refund, because that is what the contract states.

During the 3 months to follow he made a lot of untruthful promises.

He said the money will be paid back in 2 payments, one in January, the second one in February.

When the first payment in January didn't happen, I called. He said that they need my back account, because more than 1 year has passed and they cannot refund the money directly.

I sent them the bank account.

Of course the money didn't arrive.

I called every single day.
Daniel was always unavailable, in a conference, working from home, on annual leave, home sick, but I will promised he will definitely come back to me by the end of the day via email or call.

Of course he never replied to any of my emails and he never rang back.

Absolutely disrespectful attitude.

Dishonest people.

Don't trust people who are not able to speak truthfully.

Run away. Any promises they make - don't believe.

If you give them the money, it will be too late. You cannot get them back. No matter what refund guarantees they give you.

I have worked with many companies and refund guarantees have ALWAYS been honoured. This is the very first instance I have experienced this.

You would not be able to use solicitors, because their main company is based in America and you have to go via a specific route that would cost you more than what you will recover.

Do not trust. Run away. NOT GOOD PEOPLE.

Ripped Off

I called in for a pint of beer. Served by some young oik, dyed blond hair, nose ring and lip stud. Shoved contactless machine in front of me and muttered something. Saw it was asking for a tip, pressed red button which I assumed was a decline. No . Took 50p, 10% just for 1 minute holding a tap. I'm elderly and a bit deaf so vulnerable . If you buy a drink here suggest you pay cash and , definitily check your change.
