Unbeatable customer service, and great prices!

If like me, you're traditionally an 'Amazon'/Big-Name shopper and are looking at WME as a possible alternative due to pricing/availability of something you're after - in my experience, I'd recommend giving them a go!

Before ordering from WME recently, I'd never encountered them before, but doing my 'due diligence' on a ~£250 purchase I discovered that they'd been trading since 1975 and pride themselves on excellent customer service. And as well as an online presence, have a 'bricks-and-mortar' presence in the Birmingham area.

The item I was after (a projector screen) was available from a few places at a similar price but I decided to give WME a chance as a well established service-driven company, and I'm glad I did! I say service-driven as on their site they state 'customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do'. Of course, saying you're a service-driven company is one thing, but delivering on that is another. And of course, 'hopefully' there's never a need to test out this claim when everything arrives perfectly.

For the item I ordered, everything seemed in order on the surface. The item arrived when WME said it would, the exterior of the box showed no signs of courier misuse, when unboxed all items were present and correct, and the screen was suspended inside the packaging in polypropylene foam. However, unfortunately when the screen was put up and 'rolled down' for the first time, we realised there was a serious fault - a big gouge in the material in the bottom left of the screen. Just for clarity, there would of course be no way WME would have known the item had this fault. Just a manufacturing defect that could only be discovered with use, I guess.

I contacted WME and had a prompt, polite, and reassuring e-mail back from Katie. There were no offshore call centres to speak with or complex returns processes to deal with - Katie responded to my e-mail, apologised for the issue, and took me through the next steps of her/WME contacting the manufacturer and sourcing a replacement. Within a matter of days, a replacement screen arrived at my door as promised.

A huge shout-out to Katie and the WME team for first class service and support. Can't thank the team enough for the way the handled the issue and provided polite, professional communications to me throughout.

If you're looking at reviews to see whether WME are reputable - in my experience I would absolutely and to give them a try!
