Worse than pathetic customer serivce

It is impossible to get in contact with Wio bank. Again this month I have an international transfer which for some reasons is not getting processed. Wio do not reply to e-mails, to whatsapp messages, to call-back requests or anything else.

Sorry, but this is not a serious bank

Worst bank experience ever

I am using WIO for my business and since one month I have the worst experience ever with any bank in my file.

I originated an international transfer at the 15th of February and today is 16th of March and I still have not got the money to my Revolut account.

I am contacting almost every day the support on WhatsApp and at the beginning they said that it is a technical issue that they will solve it in few days and after many days they say now that the issue is with CityBank which is the intermediate bank for the international transaction.

The point is that if I don't contact them every day, I don't think that they will take care of my issue and even if they are always polite, I don't think that someone is really taking responsibility for to handle it.

I will keep you updated when they solve it and how much time it finally took to complete the transfer.

UPDATE: Today is 21st of March and I still have not got the money. And the support has stopped answering to me on WhatsApp.

UPDATE: Today is 25th of March and I still have not got the money. And the support says again that I will have to wait and that they will let me know when the issue is solved. 39 days in total, I am still waiting for my money.

UPDATE: Today is 1st of April, and it has been 46 days waiting and not having access to MY OWN MONEY. The support says that money has been released from WIO and I have to contact Revolut which is the recipient bank. But Revolut is asking for a GPI Tracker, but WIO is refusing to provide that. So they don't help the situation and just give the responsibility to others, having me hanging so many days and spending one hour of my time contacting support.

UPDATE: Today is 2nd of April and we finally canceled the transfer and got my money back to my account. But I got 600 AED less, and also I didn't get back the 115 AED I had paid for the international transfer. So I after 47 days waiting for the transfer had to be canceled and lost 715 AED. I have contacted the support, and they said that the team will check that and let me know.

UPDATE: Today is 15th of April and this is the final reply from the support:
"The amount that was refunded is less due to charges and since the transfer was returned by the beneficiary bank there will also be an exchange loss. Please note that any exchange loss for international transfer will be borne by you."

So I lost 47 days waiting for my money and lost also 715 AED.

STAY AWAY FROM WIO BANK AT ANY COST IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE THIS HUMILIATING EXPERIENCE AND LOSE YOUR MONEY.

Closed my account without reason

Closed my account without reason. WIO refused to increase my transfer limit for me to withdraw funds, and despite promising to keep the account open until I’d removed funds, they closed it anyway and now I’m in week 4 of my battle to get them to transfer my money.

I spend about an hour every day trying to get a response. They emailed saying resolution within three working days… it has now been over a week.

Couldn’t even sign up

Couldn’t even sign up. I’m eligible one day not eligible the next. Tried to sign up 3 times and I was turned down all 3 in the end. They refused to tell me why which was the most frustrating part. If you end up dealing with these people good luck, you’ll need it

Bank with wio is not for me

Very unprofessional and lacks customer service support, I am waiting for instruction on how to close my personal account. Its a shame i was really looking forward to bank with wio but 1 week after i opened the account I found out the hard way they don't support their clients went there is an issue, it take a long time for them to even reply on whatsup with simple general questions which should be on the website support page, and making a phone call never gets answered. your stuck waiting for a ping from whatsup and if they send you reply to there message its like sending a pigeon with a message stuck on its leg.

Worst bank ever

One of the worst banks ever, its been 20 days I have made an international payment which i am still chasing till date. They have the worst customer support who have no idea where the payment is and how long it will take to get this payment through. Have to chase them every single day just for 1 transactions from last 20 days. And it was suppose to be transferred in 48 to 72 hours.

Super easy and cheap

Wio.io is super easy to use and cheap as well. Converting between currencies appears to cost next to nothing, the same for buying shares. Interest rates on savings accounts with no restrictions are competitive.

I have had no issue so far, everything has worked.

It's a new online bank, I expect more services to be added like trading shares in other markets than the US, and improved credit card offers.

Wio had the worst customer service

Wio had the worst customer service. I was scammed twice and they don’t want to refund or offer any type of solution to help me get my money back. Total sham of a bank

Customer service is non existent

Customer service is non existent. No one responds. Takes several days to get back. No one picks the calls and the callback takes several additional days. Some special team will get back to you and they never do or are just as clueless as they can be.

Miserable customer experience

Miserable customer experience. I was unable to login for over a week. Their support service didn't really bother. I tried to close the account but no response!
#Update# After one month, I'm still facing the same issue. Every time I contact the customer service, they promise an update in 48 hours, but they never come back. The tickets get closed automatically as it was resolved without a single notification! I can't believe how this bank treats its business customers.

If I could give minus 10

If I could give minus 10, I would!

This is absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had.
I have had an account with them that I wanted to close.
First, it took me 3 days to get through to them.
They neither called back, as their system otherwise said they would and they did not respond to Whatssapp.

Finally I got hold of an employee. Here I got a case ID and she wanted to start the process, but first I had to send an IBAN letter.
I sent this and called the bank back. WIO bank confirmed that they had received it and it was OK. The employee promised me that it was sent through the system immediately and that I should expect a few days before the account was closed.

Day 2 I asked about the status, they said via whatssapp that they would check up and return. They did not return for the rest of the day.

Day 3 I followed up again. Here, an employee asked for Case ID. I gave them the Case ID I had been given. The employee returned with "it's under process"

Day 4 I followed up again, here they never returned.

Day 5 I followed up again, here they wrote a standard message that they would return shortly after, of course they never returned.

After 8 days I finally got through to them. Here I again gave my case id. Now it turns out that the case ID is wrong and the case ID I was provied is a completely different case and a completely different person's account. Very reassuring....
She finally finds my case and now it shows that the IBAN letter I sent 8 days ago is wrong!
Why on earth have I not been informed of this. Why does she confirm 8 days before that the IBAN letter I have sent is OK.

Then I ask them to have their CEO call me, but it was a manager who called. I admit that at this point, I'm not in the best of moods after that terrible "costumercare" trip, so I might have been a little short-tempered. So it ends with the manager hanging up because she thinks I was too angry - why do you think I was angry........!

So now we have spent 8 days finding out that an IBAN letter I sent is wrong, which was initially approved. I have lost count of how many times I have tried to contact them without success.

So now we have to see how long it takes before they get the account closed.

So if you want a bank with the world's worst customer service, then you should choose WIO Bank.

If you want a bank with only moderate or better customer service, then you should NOT choose WIO bank

And this is only half of it, I couldnt bare to write so much......

absoulutly no answer from any communication channels

i just started working with wio, so far i have tried to send mail, call, send whatsapp messages to dedicated whatsapp channel. i have not recieved a single response in the past 14 days that im trying to reach them. wierdly enough i got 1 message back saying "I would sincerely like to apologize for the inconvenience caused to you so far." which gave me hope that someone is reading my chat and than he dissapeared and did not answer anymore. i have no idea how to get any answer from them.

A Bank That Helps

I had a simple issue which I thought was going to be very difficult to sort out. The CEO got involved (tell me a bank where that happens) and the issue was resolved very professionally. Why I have given 5 stars is because two of their senior managers followed up and took onboard my comments to improve customer care. They did not hide behind some policy. Well done WIO looking forward to you being an even bigger disruptor and listening to the customer
