Slow and poor customer service
First pick up - 45 minutes it took for the man to serve the two people in front of us and then us. I thought perhaps he was doing more than just checking licences and reviewing our prepaid voucher, but no, he just spend 2 minutes per key when typing. Totally slow, no acknowledgement, just plodded through. Then he says we have lost an hour of our rental because we picked it up late! We pointed out that we were here, waiting, but apparently that counts as us using it. Then we had to go down to the car where only two of the 12 or so scratches were written up. The woman scoffed at us pointing them all out, yet it's always the car hire places that claim you've done it. Very rude and frustrating. Return was just as slow - 20 minutes to get our deposit back. Will not use again.
carhire Ancona/Bologna
We took our car at Ancona airport where a very friendly man helped us quickly. We returned the car at Bologna airport and there again excellent service. I received details of payment today and there where no surprises at all. Thank you win rent, we will come back...

Avoid at all costs!
Please avoid using Winrent for your car rental despite the fact they are very cheap. They are cheap for a reason!
We picked up our car from Florence and when collecting there was nobody at the office. We were then asked to sign to say the car was in a good condition before we were even taken to the car we were being given.
The car we received kept "cutting out" at low speeds with the battery light flashing on the dashboard. It had obviously not been serviced recently. The interior lights above the drivers head also kept falling out of the socket each time we went over a bump.
On return of the car a charge of 154euros were taken from my credit card. This broke down into:
1. 23 euros for fuel and 18 euros for re-fill service - we filled up approx. 10km from our drop off point as this was the nearest service station.
2. 58 euros for "drop off". This was never mentioned when we hired the car
3. 27 euros for "accessories". I have no idea what this is
4. 28 euros for VAT on the above.
I've raised a formal dispute with them so I'm interested to see what happens but I would advise anyone to keep well away, they are obviously the kind of company who take advantage of customers
Please never ever rent a car from WinRent
Please never ever rent a car from this company!! We took the car in Milan Malpensa airport. The first thing I noticed that there was a lot of people in the queue for other providers, but there was no one waiting outside WinRent. That was not a coincidence!
When we were taking the car, we noticed some scratches. There were a lot, like 5. I thought that I noticed one that was not reported, I asked the assistance to look at it. He looked and casually pointed somewhere on the document and I calmed down. I never though that someone providing services could just lie to your face. I paid for being naive. 330 euros. The first thing he did (the same person), when we brought the car back, he went to this scratch, 'cause he knew where to look)) I won't even recommend to take photos. They will find a scratch on the roof of the car. That because this company operates this way. Better just stay away!!

Win Rent car rental in Italy is a ripoff, stay away from them. I hired a car at Venice airport last May 2017 with full insurance +++ and excess, and they still managed to charge me 250 euro extra for a missing number plate which was not a damage or my fault ! They are scam !!!!

We hired car in Vienna
We hired car in Vienna. After returning the car and coming back to UK now we been charged 15 euros for parking ticket in their own parking space, 35 Euros for GPS which we didnt and returned at the counter as they coudlnt fix the handle and add on insurance which we never brought from them. Very unprofessional. We have now raised dispute and they take ages to reply.

I was originally supposed too rent a car with Sixt rental car. However when I got to the airport in Milan I was advised that Sixt had sold out a part of their company to Win. We decided to upgrade our car, but the we got to the car it smelled from cigarette smoke and was dirty. Win said there was nothing they could do. Take it or leave it. The also took 1800 Euro on my credit card against possible damages. All in all a very poor experience. I would strongly NOT recommend this company!
