My wife started the "free" trial which she cancelled during the 7-day trial period. Despite cancelling, she was still charged $165 for a annual subscription

This is a scam, they offered me a free trial which I cancelled and they somehow refused to acknowledge. They continued to bill me $249.00 and refused a refund.

Was on trial for a year and now switched to premium. Support is fine (not fast but they get there in the end) and the weather data is exactly what I need.

Windy has a bug on iOS where you get logged out of your account every time you open the app. So it defaults to the free version every time. Despite liking the app and premium features I can’t do anything but give 1 star because they don’t seem to care about fixing this basic issue for customers. Just cancelled my premium membership for good, will use something else.

It's a pretty accurate app, we all use it at my workplace

I already had the free version and was “promised” a “Free Pro Trial” with no obligation…. “cancel anytime”… within a 7 day period, etc.

As soon as I agreed to the "cancel anytime" free trial my credit card was immediately fully charged and multiple attempts for assistance over several MONTHS from the app developers have been pointless….

I wanted to TRY it and IF I liked it upgrade to pro…. Didn’t work that way. I filed a complaint with my bank and they (app) STILL haven’t responded to the bank inquiries from several months ago. I'll keep trying...

They have charged me for premium, three times since Oct 2023 and as it stands now I still do not have their premium service. They said they had no record of my account. I sent them data from my PayPal account showing that I paid them. They refunded $18.99 them cut off my premium service. I have requested to be contacted by the Support Manager but have not heard from them.
I wish we could get Intellicast back.

I was curious and clicked on the app, but it was impossible to unsubscribe

I have paid for the Premium for a few years.
I recently am experiencing challenges with the site and despite numerous emails to them, there responses are slow and don't address my problem. The issues are below and I have asked to talk to someone who can help because the current help desk is not helpful.

Two issues:
I cannot zoom in and zoom out
I cannot search

Don't understand why overall score is so low.

The weather data is accurate and the site looks beautiful.

I'm usung Windy.com and finding it as very helpful ... untill i bougth a Premium version. Please find below my e-mail which is self explanatory:

I cannot restore my Premium version despite a payment made. You have confirmed this payment by attached invoice and your e-mail.

I cannot made a restoration of the Premium version via a Website, I’m receiving an announcement (free translation):
“Your subscription is no longer active. It has probably expired or been canceled by you. If you believe this is an error, please email the invoice you received with your purchase to support ( at ) windy.com.” I believe this is an error as I bought subscription few days ago for 1-year.

Following your instruction I have send to you 3-emails at 21st, 23rd, 24th Jan 2024, however there is no reaction from you side. Are you working there?

I worked with Windy for two weeks as a full-time ML developer, despite I signed a contract with them and there was an article stating that in case of contract termination, I should receive a notice period of one month.

The termination email included a request to upload all code + docs within one day (it was Saturday "weekend") after that day they revoked my access.

Even they didn't invoice me for a cloud subscription I paid for their project

Be Careful, this is the worst, danger app, coloured s***t.

A marketing 'scam'. For a few months after installing the app. it worked well and visually was way superior to the Australian BOM. Then the projected data was reduced from 24 hours to one hour and the notices urging users to upgrade to the paid Premium version appeared. After six months of not wanting or needing the Premium features, the data covered 50 minutes and this morning, only 20 minutes. So, the user is left with a choice of almost no useful data covering only ten minutes) or upgrading to Premium and paying a monthly fee. My choice was to delete my (free) account and delte the whole app. The Australian BOM provides the data I need for free. Windy just became useless.

Doesn't even get close with its predictions to the real weather. And I am talking about mounths of bad weather predictions. It's almost dangeros to use this. As an example, todays predictions, 5 knots winds. It was was over 20 knots winds.

I paid for the year. Then suddenly the app stopped showing wind speeds at different heights. What a con. And there is no way to talk to the app developers and get your money back

We are in the Bahamas the Windy app has been a huge disappointment
The wave/seas predictions are a joke same heights for both sides of Cat Island in 24 knot blow from the NE
People use the information they put out and lives depend upon that information
The wind predictions are somewhat better but have been wrong as much as they have been right
We have paid for the Pro
Is someone knows of a more accurate source I would love to know what it is

I trust this app completely. Always accurate with a premium membership. Tide information would be really helpful! especially with the favourite spot notifications

It's a great weather website, especially for hurricane, typhoon and cyclone warnings.
