A Facebook ran company.
We purchased two beds from this company.
Two days later the headboard collapsed and detached from the side brackets. Upon messaging the manager we were informed that the screws had not been properly secured (despite us paying extra for assembly) as we explained both ends of the bed had loose bolts and screws detached. Furthermore the wood inside the headboard was crumbled where the screws had been.
He reluctantly arranged for a driver to come and re-assemble the bed for us. But then changed the date last minute. Leaving me and my family of young children to sleep on a couch and hard floor.
The driver arrived and told us the headboard was unrepairable and we would need to request a new one from the manager.
After messaging, the conversation turned hostile. He suddenly tried to blame ourselves for sliding the bed away from the window. He informed us that in no was whatsoever was the bed to be moved. I explained that sliding a bed would not cause wood to crumble and bolts to become loose. (The bed was slid no less than a foot away from the window).
He told us we must pay a further £100 for a new headboard if we want it fixing (after already paying over £650).
He asked for video footage proving the bolts were loose which we sent.
The video shown that there was no possible way that the wood could have been crumbled by sliding it across the floor. He refused to accept this. The coincidental thing was the two locations where the wood was crumbled were the two areas where screws had been driven in by his employee.
It was clear that the screws had cracked the bed during the initial assembly of the bed and we were not informed. Potentially, this could have caused greater harm to me and my children.
He then threatened to ignore us unless we were willing to pay the additional £100.
We persisted with messages, most of which got ignored.
He eventually replied saying he’s doing nothing about it and he’s not taking any responsibility.
He then told us if we’re not happy “speak to trading standards, we’ve dealt with them before and they always take our side”.
I then asked for a refund on the other bed that we had also purchased. He said that he weren’t willing to issue a refund as it was made to order. However if you assess the Facebook page there are posts demonstrating multiple beds all of which are of the same size, colour and fabric. So the bed could have simply been repackaged and resold. It not like we’ve ordered custom beds fitted to our specific house. It’s a double bed. Same size, fabric, colour and shape as the ones he sells every day regardless of who purchases it.
Since then, this double bed has also broken. Bolts loose and wood crumbled.
The material is poor and we have been left with no beds after paying out for the two of them, including mattresses, deliver and assembly.
Do not use this company!!!!
Awful service and worse quality.
