My order was late to be delivered

My order was late to be delivered, I contacted the business to query things, I thought I needed a refund, but I didn't, because, a couple of days late I received my complete order, fresh and delicious. This required more effort and I appreciate the extra mile the business went.

Really unpleasant doughnuts

I’ve tried to review their doughnuts on their website several times and they never show it. They clearly choose which reviews to post so I’m posting here instead. Since the reviews you can see on their website are fantastic, I ordered £40 worth of doughnuts and buns. I was so excited to receive them and I was then incredibly disappointed when I took a bite of the doughnut. I heated it up as instructed and the inside of the doughnut tasted like raw, undercooked dough. It was chewy and so unpleasant. The texture and flavour is nothing like a normal doughnut. I forced myself to eat the rest of the doughnut and binned the remainder of the order. The buns were unpleasant too. I feel like I’ve been scammed into wasting my money.

Awesome

I don't have a massively sweet tooth but since getting diagnosed as coeliac about eight years ago, I've really missed having the odd donut, and whilst supermarket GF bread is ..ok .. I've been eating less and less of it over the years as it's really barely bread at all. Mind you, most supermarket bread, GF or not, barely qualifies as actual bread these days.

Today my partner surprised me with a tray full of donuts and a loaf of the Teff bread as a Christmas gift. It's not actually Christmas Day yet but fresh products don't do well sitting under a tree.

Some are now in the freezer, and the rest are not going to make it to Christmas - oh my life, proper chewy, sweet donuts and a loaf that has that gorgeous northern European density and flavour. Actual flavor. Not that vapid, soft, palid garbage that masquerades as bread. This is chewy, crunchy and worthy of real honey. If you like soft white 'sandwich' bread, this is not for you. If you want something you could haul a Longboat up a shingle beach on and go forge an axehead before breakfast, it would solidly do the job. This bread tastes like it knows what a complex culture is. It spent more time with Tolkien than TikTok and it shows. Especially as toast.

Yup donuts are sweet. I'm also diabetic so that's going to take more insulin than I want to admit to, but donuts are a sweet treat. 10/10 and thank you so much. Christmas made, partner fully has awesome partner status assured for 2026. If this is a consistent sample of your goods, that's any gift to me solved forever.

Best gluten free bread

I’ve tried a lot of gluten free bread and this is definitely the best! My favourite is the teff wholemeal one. Tried a jam doughnut which was also very nice.

All in all my favourite online gluten free bakery

Very disappointed

This was the first time I had ordered from this website and was very disappointed. I ordered the raspberry and pistachio profiteroles. Whilst the raspberry and pistachio flavouring, and the pastry itself seemed great, the cream filling was not nice at all. Both my partner and I could taste a very strong truffle/mushroom/cheese flavour which did not go with the rest of the profiterole. I contacted the admin for support just in case something had gone wrong but after 10 days have received no reply or follow up.

Very Disappointing!

My daughter bought me a gift voucher as a treat. You cannot use the gift voucher in store you have to order online. Ordering online you either collect for free or pay a delivery charge DPD £6.25.

I ordered
- a bread which I store costs £4.75 but online is £6.75! The bread is quite nice.
- 4 fruit scones which were absolutely awful! Very salty and dense - I couldn't eat them and threw them out.
- a cinnamon bun which again was very dense and claggy.
- 4 Amaretti biscuits which were ok.

The best before date on all products was the following day! So unless you eat everything in the time frame I guess you need to freeze the products. However, there's no information on whether the products freeze well?

The products are quite expensive for what they are. I will not be buying from this bakery again.

Very disappointing!

Finally found a good GF Jam Donut!

I recently purchased 4 jam donuts and 2 cherry bakewell/almond donuts for delivery in London, slightly unsure of what to expect from the mixed reviews here and a little skeptical how well they would travel however honestly nothing but a great experience! To find a classic jam filled gluten free donut has been a real struggle for a really long time for my sister who is coeliac and this took her right back to her childhood days (pre diagnosis) Heated in the air fryer - loads of jam and a good size too. The almond cherry bake well one looked fantastic too! They were delivered well packed and promptly/successfully via DPD and has been 3 people very happy! Thanks for a fantastic experience and for baking with such love and care 😊

I called on the offchance that they may have a gluten free birthday cake as it was my granddaughters 21st birthday and the one my daughter had ordered was delivered to somewhere in Wakefield. They didn’t have on but made me one and I collected 4 hours later. Wasn’t cheap but the cake was lovely

Superb Service and Gluten-free Doughnut Heaven

I'm surprised at the other reviews because my experience with this wonderful bakery has been superb. They advised me on the best day to order in time for a special event, on which day I was in jam doughbut heaven. This is a real feat of baking. A local patisserie with experienced bakers tried and failed. But with Wildcraft's they were flawless. Someone non-gluten-free would never know the difference. They arrived in good time and every single bite was a divine experience! I am now ordering again for the visit of my gluten free best friend. Highly recommended.

Half my order didn't arrive and I was…

Half my order didn't arrive and I was almost accused of being a Liar, very poor customer service making me nearly £7 out of pocket- apparently the person answering the e-mail claimed they packet it themselves- can I make it clear I only received half my order, which made the stollen extremely expensive. It wasn't the best either extremely dry with only small amount of marzipan throughout the stollen. Please do not expect much from the bakery or their customer service.

The doughnuts are really poor extremely…

The doughnuts are really poor extremely dry and flavourless and absolutely overpriced, the profiteroles taste quite nice but will arrive looking as if they’ve been used as a football by the DPD delivery guys. Considering the price you pay for delivery from this bakery it’s absolutely not worth the price. I’ve never had food arrive in such a poor state and even though I sent photos to prove how awful they were when they arrived it took days for them to get back to me, and they didn’t even offer a refund. When you send them an email you are informed that the people who run the business are neurodivergent and therefore need extra time and space well I’m also autistic and found dealing with this company very stressful and very disappointing. When you pay as much as you do for this food and the postage is nearly £7 it’s absolutely disgusting to expect people to pay for food that has been destroyed in the post.

Visited for lunch today.Found the cafe soulless, we were the only people there to start with but the one lady serving not particularly friendly.
G/F sandwich was very small but just as well as inedible.
My quiche did not taste anything like it should.I think as well as g/ f it is vegan although not advertised. Nothing tasted real except grandson's lettuce. There was none with my quiche.
My Paris brestcake was nice but grandson's Death by chocolate was well named dense and sickly.
A really negative experience sadly and expensive too.

Wouldn't order again

Wouldn't order again, dry goods, doughy cinnamon buns with no flavour, very dry slightly burnt scones, one of the creams was black in one half so we didnt use it even though it was in date. Very runny cheap jam. Cake dry. Needed to drink alot whilst eating. Did not look anything like advertised in the picture. As a coeliac chef I know there's better. Never mind.

Low in flavour high in price

Ordered for the first time and was pleased that all arrived when it should. However the contents of the box, as much as I wanted to like them, ended up being a disappointment. The whoopee pie selection - although the cake parts had a good texture, seemed to have very little difference between any of the flavours and the cream filling was extremely sweet but also had little flavour to speak of. The bread rolls were not as nice to eat as rolls I have had from other gf bakeries and had a stodgy, underbaked texture. The prices on top of this make it not worth risking more purchases :(

Proper bread! Super service!

I got a surprise box of mixed bread from Wildcraft Bakery yesterday. My daughter made the order the previous day so great delivery service. So far, I've only tried the 'Sprouted Buckwheat Bloomer'... baked to perfection - in fact I've had half of it already! and it's absolutely delicious! Without doubt the best gf bread I've ever had. Thanks Wildcraft - Great work!

Customer service is really bad

Was so happy to have found a company where i could buy cakes that were gluten and dairy free but that is where the happiness ended.
Had an issue with the delivery and even after multiple emails to customer service there was no reply with no attempt to try and sort it out.
Even if nothing could have been done, an email from customer service to confirm this would have made a far better customer experience, which might have meant I placed another order but as there was nothing, I won't be buying from this company again.
