Worst WiFi coverage I’ve ever…
Worst WiFi coverage I’ve ever experienced. Inside/outside…nothing. Terrible coverage. Very frustrating when you really need WiFi. Waste of money!!!

The wifi was terrible and the unit requires a non-standard charger which they don't provide, and I couldn't find at the convenience stores or home centers in the area where I was staying. Horrible experience!! And three weeks after returning the unit I still have no refund. Stay away from this company.
If i could give this company 0 stars i would do that instead. The wifibox performance is spotty. Sometimes it works, most times it doesnt. I had to have the front desk of the hotel call wifibox constantly reset the wifibox. I emailed wifibox myself, but they "couldnt find my account, so could no longer assist in my case". Funny, because on the day of return they immediately sent an email that they would be charging a late fee because the device should have been returned a DAY BEFORE I WAS TO RETURN DEVICE. dont use this company, there are better services out there.
Terrible customer service.
I communicated my situation which is catch-22 and asked if they can do anything that they will not charge for the extended fee but they are unbelievably INFLEXIBLE.
also the WiFi is not even fast, it was very slow. Sometimes it took over 10 seconds to open one page.

Buyer beware. I foolishly chose the 500mb option and booked the unit for 2 weeks. In the very first day, after just 2-4 hours of walking around Tokyo using maps, bam. Service throttled. There is no upgrade or refund option. 2 weeks paid for and wasted. Day 2 I had downloaded offline maps in my hotel and only turned on the unit on when absolutely necessary. 3 or 4 hours later, bam, service throttled. I am absolutely stuck. Cannot use for train tickets or maps or payment! Do not use this service if you need to rely on your wifi.

Probably a great product but really difficult to order and we accidentally got the UK plan for our time in Japan and wasted £75. No way to change plan or return/cancel and we only found out of our error after we collected. No help from customer service who just told me to be careful not to make the same mistake.

Terrible customer service. Took so long to get a hold of support and the chat AI bot took my around in circles. The form submission was very lengthy and was very difficult to submit. Once I got a hold of a customer representative they informed me that despite me returning a faulty wifi box that I was not entitled to rent another for merely 2 days of the booked time I paid for, even though I already lost a full day of wifi due to the wifi being faulty. The box I had was not retaining battery power and dropped out all the time. My partner had another that was working fine. This company needs to change their policies so that faulty wifi boxes can be exchange because I wasted money and heaps of my time trying to contact support from them.
