Written by the company

Whale Island Resort was built on Hon Ong since 1997 with a total area of 900 hectares, there is no inhabitant, there is only one resort here – a separate island in Vietnam. In front is a nature reserve, behind is a large forest and the sea. The idea for us to create Whale Island Resort from the space here: wild and fresh. The founding team of Whale Island saw urbanization, industrialization with skyscrapers, polluted air and trees almost invisible in big cities. And what we aspire to when creating Whale Island is to bring people back to nature, back to the wildest and most original!

A peaceful island full of greenery

A peaceful island full of greenery. This is not a place with luxury resorts or fancy experiences, but it will be very special for people who enjoy something authentic.

I had wanted to visit this island for a long time because of its beautiful clear blue water, and it was exactly as relaxing as I expected. The best time to swim is from around 9 AM to 1 PM, when the tide is high, the sea is calm, and the sunshine feels warm and pleasant.

I stayed in a garden view bungalow. Everything was simple and a little rustic, but it matched the eco style of the resort. Since the resort uses solar energy, there is no air conditioning, so it took me some time to get used to sleeping with only two fans and the sea breeze. Luckily, unlike some reviews I read before, I did not have any problem with noise during my stay.

The breakfast buffet did not have many choices, but the food was good enough for me. My package also included a BBQ buffet dinner, and it was my favorite meal there. The seafood was fresh, and the staff kept refilling everything very quickly.

The resort staff were all very kind and helpful. They even picked lots of mangoes for me to enjoy.

Overall, if you are looking for a simple experience close to nature instead of luxury, I think this island is definitely worth visiting.

Simply Amazing!

I and my boyfriend discovered Whale Island Resort while searching for a snorkeling spot in Nha Trang. Although it was a couple of hours' drive away, it was worth it. The resort is a hidden gem in a secluded spot that offers beautiful views and a tranquil environment.

The snorkeling experience was one of the highlights of our stay. The resort is located near some of the most beautiful coral reefs. I was in awe of the beauty beneath the water and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to snorkel.

Our room had a lovely view to the beach. It was simple but comfortable, with everything we needed. I appreciated the resort's intentional efforts to keep everything natural and in harmony with the surroundings.

The food at the resort was great. Most of the dishes served were impressive, though as a foreigner, I had some trouble figuring out how to eat some of them.

The only downside to my stay was the language barrier. Although the staff was super friendly, their English skills were limited, which made communication difficult at times. However, their friendliness and willingness to assist more than made up for any miscommunication.

Overall, we highly recommend Whale Island Resort to anyone looking for a peaceful and unique getaway, or those who love snorkeling and enjoy the natural beauty of the island.
