Overcrowded, claustrophobic, noisy, slow network. The few call booths are all busy, while the vast majority of the offices are empty and locked. Ventilation sucks, AC is running at a bare minimum.

A great place to work with

A great place to work with. They have a good working environment, feels like home when you work. Working hours are also flexible and all the national holidays are been granted every year.

Stuff was stolen, had to pay extra month

Stuff was stolen and I had to pay one month extra.
I moved in WeWork at 8 w 126th ST New York in March. As I am currently a college student, I plan to use the office for March and April. I mentioned this when I met with the sales person but they didn't tell me that I need to notice them for cancellation one month prior. When I contacted them for cancellation, they say that it's all on the contract, however, I had never signed a formal contract, everything that I 'signed' was a free trial agreement for the first month as the first month is a free trial. Thus, I never actually got to read any policy regarding how to cancel. Additionally, in the free trial agreement, they even had the name of another person. I asked for them to correct my name on the contract however they told me just to sign it anyway... During the whole process, nobody told me that I need to notice them one month prior for cancellation. And so now I have to pay one month extra.
One more thing is that I rented a dedicated desk there so I am allowed to leave my stuff there for convenience. I thought I was careful enough that I didn't leave anything valuable except the charger for my MacBook Pro. It is around $100. However, for the first time I left it there, it was stolen. I contacted WeWork to find out what happened to my charger (like if somebody took it from my desk to use it for an emergency) but they couldn't find anything. So they agreed to give me a new one for compensation but I got a non original one, and every time I use it to charge my computer, it becomes super hot so I had to buy a new one myself.
Really bad experience anyway...

'Free Trial' took a month's rent out of my account

I undertook a free one month trial to see whether I wanted to use WeWork. I used it five times and decided it wasn't for me.

I cancelled but was still charges 340 pounds. Apparently they are sorting this out for me but it has now been two weeks!!

The only way to get through on the phone is to connect to the sales team! Do better WeWork.

No weekend service

Out of the 15 times I went to WeWork in March 2021 my card failed to let me in 5 times. Most crucially, one of these failures happened on a very important Saturday. I had dozens of user interviews lined up and couldn't gain access to the building.

The WeWork customer service was only open Mon-Fri leaving me with no option but to rent an office for the day at one of their competitors — xyz works. No out reach, no explanation and no apologies. Cancelled my membership on the spot.

If you have critical work to be getting on with, WeWork isn't for you.

Horrible Customer Service and Advertising is a Mess

WeWork advertises on their website and locations in Boston that someone can rent a space on a "Pay-by-Day" structure. I was trying to find how to sign up and it was turning out to be impossible, so I chatted with someone through the Contact Us page. After waiting more than an hour for a response, he or she proceeded to tell me that paying by the day is not available in the Boston area. Mind you, this is advertised as $30 in every location in the Boston region. When I questioned him again, the person quite frankly disappeared and never responded when I asked why it was advertised as so. Horrible customer service, and horrible advertising. Do not recommend.

Greedy

I have been with Wework for over a year. Last month I received an email that my location will be closed the following month. To keep receiving rent money from me, Wework is forcing me to relocate to another building which I do not agree to and do not like. They claim they do not need my consent to do so. They will charge me rent until the end period of the lease despite the fact that they terminated it by unilaterally closing down the building. They keep my security deposit and they continue to charge rent. Basically sending me to a building they cannot rent out so they can make money. They do not care about you. And by the way they do business, it is possible that they will close down more locations.

Minority-owned businesses, please BE AWARE

If you're a minority-owned business, this is not the place for you. "We work" lives up to their name when it comes to "selective policy enforcing" (i.e. discrimination and harassment). When I reported issues with security officer who was leaving my clients out of the building in the freezing cold temperatures of Minneapolis while making explicit verbal threats, instead of backing up the interest of my business and my clients, management started harassing me by ordering to terminate my binding contract immediately without any warning or explanation of any violations (or perceived violations) that me, my clients, or my business may have incurred in. Furthermore, after arranging a move out day that allowed me to fulfill my work-related commitments until the end of the month, I received a harassing call from the Midwest manager falsely accusing me of hosting an unauthorized gathering and not having people properly registered, which was not the case. They deactivated my card and I had to cease services to my clients that day. I was not able to move out in the formerly agreed time, and grabbed whatever I could so I can get out of the building before the situation got more dramatic. I lost over 20K in revenue due to the harassment and discrimination experienced by the WeWork staff. If you want to have peace of mind and save attorney's fees and a headache, please STAY AWAY from this office network because their corporate discrimination is real.

We did wor...

Being a former tenant, wework started as a great platform for budding businesses. But when times got tough, it showed its true colouree as a money hungry organisation. They threatened us to pay rent despite substajdatd spaces through covid ignoring all legal requirements such as fresh air just so they can show profits.

I am glad I am not part of that community anymore. They cheat and bully businesses to generate cash.

Its now a clear brand, "Wedidwork"

2020 has been terrible with WeWork.

2020 has been terrible with WeWork.

I think the company is dying and they want to kill all the SMEs that rent there too.

Shame it will be a slow death and we all have to be stuck renting desks we can't use.

A truly terrible company

It's become evident that WeWork has benefitted from financial assistance in the form of business rate relief from the UK Government. None of this assistance has been passed on to help the individuals and SME's who are under contract to pay for the office space.

Furthermore, they send out rent demands with legal letters and levy late payment charges against its members who are struggling to survive the pandemic.

Be warned!!!

Smaller companies provide better service

I have tried to use WeWork over the years. Every time I immediately remember why I have never actually worked out of one. They have ZERO relationships with the buildings they RENT space from. Good luck getting into the workspace when the office secretary is out.

No customer service whatsoever

Spent 3 weeks trying to organise office space in Manchester, passed around from person to person and sent the same details over 3 times. Can't get anyone from customer services on the phone and was sent an incredibly rude email when chasing on this. Don't waste your time trying to organise for an office here, you'll be given a rubbish customer service assistant who doesn't want to organise the office space

Like so many others - terrible experience

Like so many others, we have been badly let down by WeWork. There is no discussion, no response, and no negotiation on fees for offices we are not legally able to use. Despite numerous attempts to negotiate and even just speak to someone, we have been referred to an aggressive debt collection agencies with huge fees without anyone even bothering to respond to our communications.
Shocking behaviour against everything they pretend to stand for

The worst company - would encourage everyone not to rent an office with them

Pre-COVID, I would have always recommended WeWork. The communication, or should I say, lack of communication has been appalling. Despite emailing WeWork to go about cancelling our contract, in line with their terms and conditions, no one ever responded, and they passed the debt to a debt collection agency. The staff pass you around from pillar to post and no one ever responds to you.

Absolutely disgusting that a company can treat its clients in this way.

I rented a dedicated desk at 41 Corsham…

I rented a dedicated desk at 41 Corsham St. N1 6DR London before lockdown and placed my new purchased bike to the bike storage room which was dedicated to wework but hosted by another dorm company Scape. The Scape team led me place my bike into a room where I could not open with the RFID card they gave to me. Every time when I go to lock the my bike they told me there is a problem about doors and it will be fixed soon. When the lockdown took place I wanted to move out of wework. when I went Scape (where my bike is stored) to check my bike I realised that it was stolen. Then Scape managers told me that that room was not the one which was dedicated to wework members use. My bike was stollen because of negligence and fault of the Scape team. I wanted wework to take action for this case which was not my fault at all. However wework team did noting on favour of their customer which is me. I had to confront with all myself but Scape team did not provide anything to me. They could not even provide me the CCTV records so that we could not investigate anything. Do not use wework as they are selling a service which they dont operate and take the responsibility if some fault like this happens. I raised this case a couple of times with the management but no result. They even paid my service retainer fee way more later than in the contract. Please beware of what kind of risk are you taking when hiring a space at wework.

WeWork not so well, but want all your money.

I had the same problems as most. During lock-down we were not allowed to travel and for two months received my full bill. Now I am trying to find a solution as I am unable to pay for the service, but they keep ignoring my communications....for three months now. I want to cancel, but still all I get is a flat ignore. They only care about making as much cash as possible in spite of others.....weather you can use the so called services or not. They say "To Speak to someone about this: Click Here". But what they actually mean is "Don't bother clicking, we will ignore you because we don't really care". The last communication I received from them was a notice.

I wish we had researched this site…

I wish we had researched this site prior to engaging with WeWork. The lack of customer service and inability to speak with someone is absolutely absurd!! In trying to authenticate a business (with Articles of Incorporation and proper documentation) it took more than a week and they held up a significant credit card payment. I understand the requirement to authenticate first, but there was ZERO communication as to what was missing to complete the process. Then once authenticated, they still held the settlement (note- the customers credit card cleared within 3 BD, the week it took to authenticate the business). Now another hold and yet another ticket and no response.

Wework is such a scam!

Wework is such a scam!
They keep charging me each month since the pandemic when I've never been to any of the wework spaces since the pandemic.
I've tried to call them but it was always busy line, I've emailed them to cancel my membership and nobody actually helped me, and yet keep charging me.

DO NOT sign up for Wework, it's a scam. I'm still trying to cancel my membership at the moment
