Overcrowded, claustrophobic, noisy, slow network. The few call booths are all busy, while the vast majority of the offices are empty and locked. Ventilation sucks, AC is running at a bare minimum.

No customer support

We have been customers in one of WeWork's locations without network services now for almost four months. We were put in to a new floor as it was opened with promises that the services available there would be identical to that we were shown however during the build they significantly altered the plans leaving us without effective network access. We have since been relocated to resolve this issue, however are now stuck in limbo with half of their support staff arguing with the other leaving us in the middle. We have repeatedly made attempts to reach out and resolve this, but unless we first reach out to the corporate headquarters and come through there we are largely ignored. I would STRONGLY advise against working with them.

Wework- Worst co-working place

Wework has pathetic services. They call themselves a "digital" company however all kinds of services are manual.
1. They dont accept paytm, credit cards, only cash. Seriously!
2. Ask them for any help- can't book it online, you have to walk down to front desk and then ask for it.
3. They refuse to help on small matters and send a reminder everyday that the ticket is open. Once you have refused for help what is the reply you are expecting?

On the top of such services their charges are skyhigh.
They dont have any sense of customer service and charge high for that.

Locations are loud

Locations are loud, members are rude and the member service team do not accommodate any of your concerns. Phone booths are occupied most of the time and numerous members conduct business while on the phone in the hot-desk area distracting and disrupting your workflow. Absolutely terrible, I would not recommend WeWork to anyone who wants to be productive.

I chose to locate my company at We Work… because the devil is in the details!

I chose to locate my company at We Work Mill Valley and the experience has far exceeded my expectations. Every detail is attended to by the WeWork staff -- Samantha, Caitlin, Cameron -- and others, who make sure that member companies and their guests feel well taken care of and at home. From our sign up to move in to day to day experience, the process was smooth and easy. Beyond the amenities of a gym, Equator coffee and fresh fruit flavored water, there are community events daily that entice people out of their offices and bring people together. One of the best decisions we at Waterhouse Brands has ever made!

WeWork plays loud music at work area... total nuisance

WeWork plays loud music in the Hot Desk Area. It is impossible to focus on Work. Moreover, WeWork shuts Air Conditioner at 7pm but not the loud unsolicited music.

WeWork hot desk is a fish market and a total waste of money. There is no business etiquette. There have been several complaints with regards to the loud unsolicited music but WeWork is not listening. Total waste of money

I have been renting a space in a a…

I have been renting a space in a a WeWork location in London and can definitely say that it is a great idea to be in a co-working space such as this one if you are a young company looking to be in a dynamic professional environment. The staff here has always been very helpful, my manager has moved me from one office to another as soon as a bigger space became available as I hired more staff. All in all, wonderful experience!

You know better than to fall for this hype.

I have been to multiple WeWorks and can say the same is true from the whole company and their sub-companies. The management is preoccupied with selling the idea of WeWork and cannot deliver on what is promised in marketing. Staff are unable to help as they should be able to. Hot desks are uncomfortable and designed as such to encourage movement to permanent desk space. Security at premises does not work and guests or visitors have to go through very confusing processes only to often be left waiting when nobody is on the front desk.
The business is also over-leveraged and over expanded and will have to close many offices when the recession hits soon. Why move in when you'll be forced to move soon anyway? Also, don't fall for marketing hype when a startup should be aiming to save on costs. There are plenty of cheaper workspace alternatives to WeWork with proven business models and better reviews.

Expensive, Condescending Staff, No Different than Normal Leasing

With all the hype and buzz, and my overall frustration with the commercial real estate process, I thought I'd try one for a big meeting and rented one of their largest offices. Bottom line is WeWork is no real improvement over the traditional commercial real estate process or just going to Regus. First off, since they (presumably) compete with Regus and present themselves as next generation, it appears from the marketing and talking to salespeople to be this amazing, highly flexible service. That is not the case, you need to provide considerable advance notice if you want to turn it down or off. Moreover, you need to really read the T&C's closely, which are presented in a click-through experience like signing up for a free email account. You need to go through them like a lawyer just like with any lease contract---WeWork is LEASING, it's not a community, it's not a cult, it's not a service, they are not there to make friends and maker your career better. They are real estate developer and landlord. There are "gotchas" in their terms as with all business contracts. This is all fine. Just know their marketing and branding is out of sync with what and who they are.

What was most off-putting is that the staff is trained in Apple Store customer techniques that shower you with fake empathy, and mind-positioning statements ("I may know how you feel is a classic"), while communicating in a sugary-sweet, saccharin tone that you're not going to get what you want. Add to this how very overpriced WeWork is compared to the alternatives, the loudness of the place for phone calls (phone booths look soundproofed but they don't seem to work) and you should just stay away. I've been an entrepreneur and investor in scores of startups and I'd never suggest one of my companies habitate there as a core solution unless they were really pinched for a conference room and just did the base "membership" for a month to meet a sudden need.

What's going on with WeWork

What's going on with WeWork has frightening implications. It has quietly been buying up companies, gobbling them up really. What their intentions are one can only imagine. It's the beginning of a monopoly. When I found out that WeWork had acquired Meetup, I contacted them to find out why I was having trouble with a group. They never addressed the matter. I never gave them my contact information, how they got my phone number is extremely disturbing. I would never make the mistake of thinking they are harmless. I would never trust them. I would never turn my back on WeWork

Condescending to clients saying "YOU ARE NOT VIP YOU KNOW? I AM SURE YOU'LL FIGURE IT."

Today I asked for help with printing. I politely waited for Anthony from the Montreal WeWork Office to be finished signing packages at the reception to ask for his help.

After I waited until there were no more people in his line up, I asked my question. He gave instructions but it didn't work so I went back and forth 4 times. When I got so frustrated with WeWork Equipment that WeWork Staff refused to help their clients with, I asked him sternly if he could now PLEASE take 2 minutes to help fix this issue.

Anthony (from WeWork) was amazing condescending. He said "Just breathe" as though he had no idea my frustration was about his attitude towards WeWork clients. He also insulted me by saying "Don't you guys work in IT or something?" I explained that the equipment was WEWORK equipment and I asked for his help because of the errors I was facing.

Well he put the page in the wrong way himself anyway. Anthony from WeWork said "I am SURE YOU'LL be able to figure it out....I was busy. You can be nicer. YOU ARE NOT VIP YOU KNOW?" Then he left.

WOW! Seriously Anthony, you work at the front desk and you talk to people like that?? I am not sure if all the offices are like that or just the one in Montreal.

Master marketers, but it's just veneer

I think wework gets so much business because it is very good at marketing itself. A superb summation of this fact is in looking at the details of design: the chrome and gold accents on various design elements (water cooler, soap dispensers, etc.) is so thin that it is wearing through. What a great metaphor for a company that is all surface and no substance. What results is a look of shabbiness.

I am sitting here writing this review in one of the "soundproof" phone booths intended for private calls--they are far from soundproof, letting in sound from the common space and allowing any conversation had within to be audible to others. Not to mention their placement is extremely poor, located next to entrance and exit doors, so traffic (and thus noise) near them is endless.

The space is generally very loud, as none of the offices are soundproofed--the tinny sound of conference calls on speakerphone and banging sliding doors all day long.

The staff is very unprofessional (I had one burb loudly before greeting me and did not apologize or look embarrassed!), sometimes forgetting your urgent requests. Wifi and printers sometimes don't work, and there is little sincere apology. We were just notified that the mailroom can't process all mail, so we were asked to limit the packages sent there.

And my final note: I rented a shared space with five other people--they neglected to tell me that one of the tenants had a dog...what if I were allergic?

Avoid at all costs!!!!

We've been in Wework Aldgate Tower for a year and thankfully our lease has come to an end. Service is extremely poor, staff are unapproachable, rude and frankly don't seem like they want to be there. Any issues, no-one is available to speak to you get told to raise a ticket and it will be dealt with. You pay for postage to arrive the next day, we're lucky if we get the package 2 days later and if we go down beforehand to ask for post we're told it's not been sorted. Offices are cleaned once a week if that, bins emptied every other day. loads of extras to pay for which were not told about when we moved in. I would recommend any business owner to stay clear of a We Work.

Stay well away

Please do not view any of their buildings and believe what they promise you because they will renaged on all of it and hide it deep in their T&C's ensuring that you have no way to fight it. Also, the costs will increase significantly as there are numerous added extra's they neglect to mention on viewing.

I love being at WeWork (708 Main, Houston)

I love being at WeWork (708 Main Houston)! My first impression was this was just another New York company coming to town with their urban chic décor of exposed concrete, glass walls, and wood floors. While that is all true, what I found was a very strong community that is the result of a very strong (but small) staff group operating ten floors! Each floor has is own character and desk space is definitely smaller than most are used to, but while I was initially traumatized by this I also realized that smaller space means less clutter and working smarter. The "glass cubicles" as I call the offices are tiny, but they are a great respite to simply get things done - and an incentive to get out to the common areas to be part of the larger community. Their community includes its own social network that readily connects companies any people through the same web/app experience for booking meeting rooms, managing guests, and booking space at other wework locations when necessary. The entire experience is readily scalable from a small one person office to whatever needs are. I love that they serve fabulous local roast coffee rather the bland mainstream coffees - and on-site (free) coffee means drip, espresso, americano, cappuccino, latte, etc.! They also provide local beer on tap for later in the day (when things just don't happen - or happen well) in addition to regular events that just get the community together.

I would definitely recommend WeWork for companies of any size - the staff have really made 708 Main a great place to be!

Just terrible service

Just terrible service! Not sure where to start, fire alarm test sometimes last 30-45 minutes, WeWork team is not helpful at all, they don't know how to handle passes for the office (half of my company could not access our office for several days and still some people can't), delivery is badly handled, printers or coffee machines are not working for weeks sometimes...Don't get fooled by the free drinks and the shiny look of the office!

Good interior design, the worst customer relations ever.

I used WeWork in 2 different locations and as a 'pay-as-you-use' member. Horrible experience in all of them. They couldn't give me a key for my room for 6 months and charged me 3 months extra, which took me a month to prove they were wrong and another 3 months to get it back. From the sales team to the reception desk; the staff are extremely arrogant, the support replies maybe within 2 weeks and they usually tell you to talk to your building management, the app and website isn't stable and makes you double booking and charges for double.
