We signed a contract to get three exterior doors and color matched storm doors. Informed by sales rep Corey there would be 2 men working on each door during installation. Reality only three installers showed up and took all day to finish once a 4th installer showed up late afternoon. The doors are top notch and storm doors look great, very pleased with product. The issue we had was mortar was broken on our patio stairwell with door installation, installer did tell us when it happened. West Shore advertises full remodeling and repair services, but that is untrue, they sub-contract. They do not repair concrete or mortar, after 3 months still unable to subcontract to fix this issue. After back and forth dialog and getting no where near fixed, no subcontractor. WestShore did agree to reimburse me for repairs but no contractor wants to do such a small job. While I like the doors, I dislike their customer service to ensure full satisfaction. Pictures and concerns not forwarded to repairman by sales rep. I would not recommend using West Shore.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience ever!
After spending over $5000 for a new front door and storm door, I was told at installation that my front door lockset was faulty and that the weather stripping was bent. I was assured that the replacement was ordered and would be in soon. Fast forward 2 months and I still don't have my lockset and the entire cylinder has fallen out of the door knob. Like any normal person I keep trying to get someone in customer service to figure out where the parts are. 2 hours on hold waiting for anyone. Then I'm passed to different agents.
The day has arrived that I'm getting my new lockset and, guess what, it's not on the truck. In addition the weather stripping was installed incorrectly, so much for quality control. What did they do about my door knob you ask. I was taken to Lowe's to buy one off the shelf. So, I'm sure I paid well over a thousand dollars for the original one but now have an $80 knob.
Hey, what about the weather stripping! Maybe 4-6 weeks later the installer returned with the correct size but in the meantime, about around the 3 week mark I had an appointment that I waited for and they finally call me to say,"sorry your part never made it on the truck"!! Seriously!!
Bottom line; I would never recommend West Shore Homes and I would hope that smart folks will do their research before signing.

My husband and I are seniors and my husband is handicapped. We Purchased two sliding glass doors on May 15,2026. They finally installed them on July 6,2026. On July 8,2026 I informed them that these doors are a trip hazard and a wheel chair will not roll over the threshold. The threshold has a rise of 2 1/4" which is not good for seniors. They are not ADA compliant. The salesman was quiet aware that we are seniors and that my husband is handicapped. We were not given the option to chose the doors that we wanted. They chose the doors they wanted us to have. I would like them to replace them with doors that are safe for seniors. When I call them, they just tell me that there is nothing they can do. These doors cost us $14,000 apiece. We really can't live with these doors the way they are. It is a safety hazard. Do not do business with West Shore Home. Once they get your money, they don't want anything to do with you if you have a problem. BEWARE

I had new doors put up at my mom's house on June 22, 2026 from the Winston Salem location. The doors were put up and everything was good when they left. My mom is 81 and losing her memory. Some how she locked herself out of the house. I called Alex just before 5pm to see if he could go or send someone to let her back in the house. The way he was talking on the phone I could tell he didn't want to do it because it was quitting time. He finally said he will see what he could do. Now it's 80-90 degrees outside and I don't know how long she has been outside. So I called him back after not hearing from him and I couldn't reach him. No answer on the phone number I just talked to him on 1-2 hrs ago. I am very disappointed and pissed off at the way this went. Luckily I had family nearby to check on her. Thank God things worked itself out but beware of the service you expect to get from professionals because this could be your mom.

From sales with Vaughn, scheduling and measuring day with other employees, install day with Damari and Brett, I’ve had a very positive experience with the Westshore representatives. That being said, on install day it was discovered that the wrong size entry door was ordered for my home. Damari and Brett were very apologetic and assured me they have a way to install and seal the wrong door while a new, correctly measured door was being ordered and built. I understand that things happen and measurements may be off once the old door is removed. unexposed issues can happen in any build. These young men worked very hard to leave me with a nice looking and well sealed temporary entry door before they left. Shout out to their manager who trusted and worked with them to fix the error in my order. It’s unfortunate that this happened and now I have to wait weeks to have the job completed but there was never a hem-haw from Westshore about doing the right thing. I gave four stars because the job is not completed yet.

Communicating with the office in Greensville Greer, South Carolina is ridiculous. We had a storm door and entrance door installed. The sales woman that worked up our quote was professional and knowledgeable. She handled things differently than some of the other companies we have been getting estimates from and she traveled all the way from Myrtle Beach. They did not have someone in WNC to give an estimate. Took quite a bit of time to schedule an install appointment. They sent the wrong screen door but yet they installed it. Took quite a bit of back and forth getting them to install the correct door and they wanted to charge for their mistake. Meanwhile while living with the door, we discovered that they only put one screw when multiple screws should have been used. There were gaps of daylight around the door. Glass was separating in the exterior door and there were some yellow stains on that door. But the installers were very pleasant and professional but their completed job was terrible. Finally, they sent out some type of management to look at all our complaints about the door and he agreed that both doors needed replaced. We had three different incidents where the storm doors did not open correctly and on the 3 mishap we had to get a pry door to open the screen door. Even with a pry bar, we could not get the door open and had to disassemble the framework around the screen door at 11 PM. This is our main entrance into in the residence. We called them and all you get is customer service. We were told that someone would call us back in 12 to 24 hours. No one has ever called us back. On the date that they were to reinstall exterior door and the proper screen door we received a phone call that they could not make it that day and they would call to reschedule. We were foolish enough not to ask what month might that be?

We invited West Shore Home to provide an estimate for a front door replacement project. We are considering replacing our current front door with sidelights with a double French entry door.
When the salesperson arrived, he began speaking with me on the front porch but did not introduce himself until after I introduced myself first. While that alone would not have been a major issue, it set the tone for what became a disappointing experience.
During the appointment, we discussed style, color, options, and pricing. The salesperson presented a price along with a promotional discount. My wife and I agreed that the door appeared to be a quality product, and we felt the company would likely do good installation work. At that point, West Shore Home was definitely on our short list. However, I explained several times that we had two additional estimates scheduled before making a final decision.
That is where the experience changed. The salesperson began discussing “opportunity pricing,” which he described as a deeper discount available only if we purchased during the first in-home visit. I explained again that we were not making a same-day decision and that we owed it to ourselves to review all scheduled estimates before committing to a major home improvement project.
Rather than respecting that, the salesperson began questioning our judgment for not making an immediate decision. He seemed to assume that not buying that day meant we would never buy at all. His demeanor changed noticeably, and he became rude to both me and my wife. At that point, we ended the appointment, and he packed up and left.
I do not know whether this approach was specific to this salesperson or part of the company’s sales training, but it left us with a very negative impression. We liked the product, but the sales experience was unacceptable.
