We fully pay UK taxes and we do not divulge your personal data to any third parties. We have a pharmacy tradition dating back to the 1930s when our late founders' grandmother opened her first pharmacy in Doncaster Town Centre. Remaining true to his vision our business remains 100% family-owned. With a commitment to community healthcare and staff training we have steadily grown to 59 pharmacies in the South Yorkshire area. We employ over 600 formally trained staff among who are more than 80 pharmacists, including 9 clinical pharmacists. While our aim is not to make any mistakes we recognise they will happen occasionally and if they do we commit to communicating with our customers, do our best to put the problem right, identify the cause of the error and learn from it.

Poor customer service.

Checked whether a pet drug (vet bromide)was in stock online at Weldricks before ordering as a 1st order with the company.It said it was,these drugs are crucial to our epileptic dog.I decided to contact Weldricks 3 days after placing the order as I had no order progress notifications was then told "sorry drug out of stock",and no notice until April when new stock may arrive.
Customer service on this occasion was poor,if the company had told me straightaway there was no stock or updated it's website,I would not have wasted 3 or 4 days searching for the drug.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I am sincerely sorry to learn of the frustration and concern caused by the stock issue regarding your dog’s medication. I completely understand that for a pet, medicines are critical, and any delay in sourcing them is deeply distressing.

I have looked into the timeline of your first order to understand why this was not identified sooner. Your order was placed on Monday 9th March, and as a registered pharmacy, we must clinically verify all prescriptions before they can be dispensed. Your prescription underwent these mandatory safety checks by our technician and pharmacist on Wednesday 11th March.

It was only when the order reached our physical dispensary on Thursday 12th March that it was identified that the stock was unavailable until April. I am very sorry that our website indicated the item was in stock at the time you placed your order. While we strive for real-time accuracy, occasionally supply chain variables or simultaneous orders can create a discrepancy. I also appreciate that waiting until Thursday for this update cost you valuable time in sourcing the medication elsewhere, and for that delay, I offer my sincere apologies.

Our records show that the order was aborted on Thursday afternoon as soon as the shortage was confirmed to allow you to seek the medicine locally. I have shared your feedback with our dispensary and management teams to investigate why you were not notified sooner on the true availability, as we never wish to provide misleading information to our customers.

Awful company

I placed an order on 4th March for 3 bottles of Reconcile for my dog and its now the 16th and still not despatched.
I never had any email confirmation and when I chased last week was tole it would be fast tracked.
Avoid this phamacy if you actually want to receive the medication for your pets.
Heres hoping I get my refund ASAP

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I was very sorry to learn of your disappointment regarding the delay in receiving your order and the frustration caused by the lack of communication you experienced.

I have looked into the timeline of your order to understand where we fell short. Your order was placed on Wednesday 4th March and as a registered pharmacy, all prescriptions must undergo a rigorous clinical safety check. I can see that your prescription was checked by our technician and approved by our pharmacist on Wednesday 11th March, following your contact with us.

I note that when you spoke with our team on the 11th, we looked to fast-track the dispensing process; however, I am truly sorry that the medication had still not been dispatched by Monday 16th March. I completely understand that when it comes to your dog’s health, a 12-day wait is far from ideal, and this is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide to our customers.

Following your call to our Customer Service team on Monday morning, I can confirm that your order was aborted and a full refund was processed immediately.

Ordered my dogs medication on Monday

Ordered my dogs medication on Monday, My vet sent the prescription on Tuesday and it has been approved by Weldricks on the same day. The order is still showing as unfulfilled on Friday. Paid for next day delivery. My dog has epilepsy and has no medicine now, a complete and utter disaster. Sent a message to them yesterday and had no response. Won’t be using them again!!

UPDATE- 17-03-2026
Had to go to my vet to get emergency medication to last to today as Weldricks stated it would be dispatched on Monday and delivered on Tuesday , Not much of a surprise that as of today it's still not been dispatched. Dogs medication ran out again . Unbelievable!!!

I completely understand that when it comes to managing a condition like epilepsy, receiving medication on time is critical, and I am truly sorry to learn that your dog is currently without his medicine.

I have looked into the details of your order to understand the timeline of events. While your order was placed and the prescription was sent on Monday 9th March, there is a necessary clinical process that must take place once a prescription is received. Our records show the prescription was attached to your order on Tuesday afternoon and underwent rigorous safety checks by our technical and pharmacy teams, receiving final pharmacist approval on Wednesday 11th March.

First time ordering from Weldricks and…

First time ordering from Weldricks and likely the last. Uploading my vet’s prescription and placing the order was easy, but everything after that was disappointing.
The confirmation email was confusing so I called straight away. The person I spoke to wasn’t very helpful and seemed keen to get me off the phone. I was told everything was fine and the order would arrive within 3–5 days.
A week later there was still no dispatch email, so I called again and spoke to Sue, who could only say it should have been sent by now. By this point my dog had run out of his medication. I was told I’d get a call back on Monday explaining what went wrong — it’s now Thursday and I’m still waiting.
The delivery fee was refunded and the order finally arrived on Tuesday, but the lack of communication and follow-up was very poor. Customer care clearly isn’t their strong point.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and I am very sorry to learn of the problems you encountered with your first order from us.
I am pleased to hear that uploading your vet’s prescription and placing the order was straightforward. However the service you received after that point fell below the standard you were entitled to expect from us.
I am sorry that our confirmation email was unclear and that when you contacted us for reassurance you were not given the level of support and care you should have received. I am also very sorry that your order was then delayed without proper communication and that you were left having to contact us again after your dog had run out of medication. I fully appreciate how concerning and frustrating that must have been.
I can see that one of my colleagues investigated the matter when you called on Saturday, located your order, expedited its dispatch so that it reached you on Tuesday and refunded your delivery fee.
You were also promised a call back to explain what had gone wrong and I am sorry that this did not happen. That lack of follow through was not acceptable and I understand why it left you with such a poor impression of our customer care.
We have recently transitioned into our extended veterinary dispensing facility here in Doncaster. This move is intended to improve our overall delivery timeframes. However while we adjust staffing roles and complete essential training, some orders are unfortunately taking longer to process than normal.
That said, I fully recognise that this does not make up for the inconvenience caused, the worry created and the poor communication you experienced throughout.
Please accept my sincere apologies. Your feedback has been noted and will be used to review both the handling of this order and the communication given by our team so that we can reduce the risk of this happening again.
I have also asked a member of our customer services team to contact you to make sure you are satisfied with my explanation and the actions taken and to see whether there is anything further we can do to help.

Poor customer service

My order was placed 8 days ago and since the initital order confirmation I have had zero communication from Weldricks. I have filled in the webform and called many times but simply get cut off no matter which route I take. I am a new customer so it's very disappointing. My dog now has run out of her prescription supply so I will need to source her medicines locally. I often order pet drugs via online sellers but this has been the worst service I have had so far.

I completely understand your frustration and concern, especially as your dog has now run out of her medication. We typically ask for 3–5 working days to process prescription orders, but an 8-day period without communication is not our standard practice. Furthermore, I am very concerned to hear that you were unable to reach us via our webform or telephone. While our pharmacy lines can become very congested during peak times, it is never our intention for a customer to be cut off, and I will be raising this with our technical and customer service teams to ensure it is investigated.

Good Price, Fast Delivery!

Very trust worthy chemist.

Excellent fast free delivery, I was really pleased to see they had not just thrown things into an oversized box, as so many companies do these days. The glass bottles were packaged carefully and all my items were neatly and securely placed in a small box. The parcel had that very rare feeling of a company that cares. Please keep up the great service if for no other reason to show others it is possible.

Excellent customer care and excellent service

I discovered this company whilst doing a cursory search for the specific bran of chemotherapy my dog is presently on. I was astonished to see it at a price that equated to an astonishing 75% saving. I got a private prescription from the vet and sent this off by registered post and ordered 2 bottles of the tablets which have to be sent by refrigerated or at least kept at a certain temp. Within 10days I duly recieved the medication which came expertly packed with two ice packs still frozen solid in the box beside the bottles. Even taking into consideration the cost of the prescription and the registered post the two bottles represented a saving of £150 . This is just for a 6 week supply so I am very pleased and my prescription covers me for a further 4-5 months. Thank you so much I cannot fault the service being provided

Do not trust delivery times

Ordered online and submitted everything the same day. I specifically chose pharmacy collection to make sure it would be ready on time.

Five days later I had received no updates, so I called to chase it up — only to be told there is a delay and it could take up to another five days. That’s potentially 10 days in total, which is completely unacceptable and not what was advertised.

Now I have to arrange another prescription and contact local pharmacies myself to find one with stock. Very disappointing service and poor communication.
