I am a current vendor for wedding wire and I'm very upset on what happened to me. I had a "bride" reach out to me about her wedding and ended up losing thousands of dollars by sending me a fake check. I used to have nothing but great experiences of the leads before. There are other wedding vendor search engines that have a tighter grip of letting just anyone post to their vendors.

When i told them about this, they said that they are sorry but nothing they can do. What is so frustrating about all of this, is that they are the face of most brides to go to. To trust their site and for their scams to go through, shows that they lack the security to find out who is real, and who is not. Will not be trusting them going forward.

$3897.25 paid over a year and not ONE LEAD CLOSED! If I Could rate this service negative start I would. To put things into perspective, because I am sure this company will try to say that it is my job to close the leads, this past month I have worked two events that I closed off of wrong number calls that I have received. Closing Leads is not an issue we have had in the past.

It is not that I am unable to close leads, it is that this company charges an arm and a leg to provide TRASH LEADS.

If you are considering hiring this company to promote your business and bring you events, you are better off standing on the corner in a hot dog suit twirling a sign. DO NOT TRUST THEIR SALES PEOPLE

The wedding wire reviews are only reviews what the business/person allows to stay up. All a business has to do is "dispute a review" and they remove it. I wrote about a review of racial discrimination that the business disputed and it was immediately removed. Untrustworthy source.

Big scam. They promise to connect vendors with clientele, which end up to be bots. Serious rip off

Terrible. Cookie cutter “leads” by fake people that never follow through. I have pictures of two EXACTLY identical wording for a “lead.” They both say I love your work… and then never got back to me lol. Also, people keep asking me for information that is already in my profile. Here’s a hint, people getting married about to drop a couple grand on a band will look at their profile before offering them the job. Total scam, and I’m not even going to bother asking for my money back because I’m sure they won’t give it to me.

They hide legit reviews of their vendors to keep their advertising revenue up. We recently reviewed a customer of theirs and lo and behold as others have stated below they came up with an excuse to take it down well now its their turn to get the negative reviews in this day and age censorship is a big no no! Guess you will learn the hard way. UPDATE: in response back to weddingwire’s response below. I think you are confusing me caring why my review was taken down ( like all the other complainants) vs you taking it down in the first place! There was no foul language, no names, nothing audit worthy other than a straight up review. You chose to remove it to protect your customers as you’ve done with all the others you’ve taken down. now trust pilot you see can be trusted unlike WeddingWire. So no, I don’t give two cents over the why and won’t be contacting you ever.

Two words - STAY AWAY! Cancelling their fraudulent contract is a nightmare. VENDORS STAY AWAY AND REPORT TO YOUR DISTRICT ATTORNEY!

Don't do it. Seriously, spend the incredibly overpriced marketing fee's on a googlead campaign or some other form of marketing.

All you will get is fake spam bots that inquire and when you reply (because you have to or else your score goes down) they NEVER respond. Obviously... because they're fake. The weddingwire/ the knot should be ASHAMED of themselves. Locking people into a year contract and providing false numbers, fake leads and the promise of return on investment is just gut wrenching. Seriously stay away from them.

Disappointed in the website. This and "the knot" are both under the wedding pro umbrella. They are equally disappointing.
No viable leads. And just like thumbtack, care . Com... And other sites like this. The collect money through fees for leads, when these leads are absolutely not generated, not real people at all. Even calling the numbers, they are not legitimate numbers. I dumped $1800 into an annual membership with this company and lost money. Not just my investment, but in time. Chasing leads that were fake. And the reviews on this site, so expertly crafted...scream cookie cutter. Do not fall for the glowing reviews. It's so easy for these companies to hire ghost reviewers to write these canned responses. Be aware and spend your hard earned money wisely. If you are a wedding vendor, do the expos, door knock the venues to offer your services, old school salesmanship works best.

The response was disappointing as well. No attempt to change or rectify this obvious ongoing business practice.

MY FRIEND ORDERED A WEDDING CAKE FROM TAYLORS BAKERY AT THE 62 ND AND ALLISONVILLE RD LOCATION SHE WAS SO HAPPY WHEN THEY DELIVERED IT !THE DECORATORS DID A FABULOUS JOB 1WOULD REFER ANYONE TO TAYLORS BAKERY FOR THEIR WEDDING CAKES OR ANY OTHER GOODIES THEY HAVE ! SMELLED SOO GOOD IN THERE WHEN I WENT WITH MY FRIEND TO LOOK AT HER CAKE

Please do not waste your money! WeddingWire / The Knot expects you to pay top dollar to filter out messages that come from their site???? What!?? I am totally displeased with WeddingWire/The Knot/Etc. I have many “inquiries” that have not panned out or have been scams. I don’t have the time to do WeddingWire’s job. I see a lot of other unhappy customers now that I have spent the time to look through sites such as this one.

WeddingWire has responded with their basic “stamped” response. Listen WW, I don’t want to waste my time if we’re not going to come to some agreement that both of us is happy with. I’m not happy with the fact that WeddingWire is not even willing to budge. That is not right that a company produces NOTHING of what they promised and then will not release the customer from their agreement. Let me re-state here as I have done with several of your reps. I no longer want your service why don’t you all just let me out. I have gained ZERO from WeddingWire/The Knot. Is that too hard to do? That would be the decent thing to do…

The Knot and Wedding Wire do what they advertise, they bring in leads. They have been a great resource for us and we really noticed an increase in leads when we got our Featured and Spotlight positions. Our current rep is Rebecca Kaufman and she has been amazing to work with. Our reps have always been helpful in providing advice about our advertising and its great to have someone in the industry to bounce ideas off of. They are a great resource for industry information. They are a “must have” for brand recognition in our business and in our industry. It is hard to say if a lead comes directly from The Knot or Wedding Wire but just about every lead we receive, outside of The Knot or Wedding Wire, mention seeing us on their websites.

WeddingWire and the entire WeddingPro team has, single-handedly, grown our business from an idea to a $500,000+ revenue business. TheKnot and WeddingWire are the ONLY means of online advertising we use, and the exposure they bring to businesses to authentic couples looking to spend money and find quality vendors is second to none. I would HIGHLY recommend using their services if you're in the events space and looking to grow it to the next level. The investment is worth every penny and will 10X your business without question!

We use Wedding Wire to support advertising for our bridal business. We love their active involvement in making sure that we are taken care of with our business needs. I recommend using Wedding wire for any of your hiring and vendor needs.

The amount of time that Brittany Powers took to review each account to ensure that the accounts were getting their maximum exposure. Truly show her professionalism but beyond that, it showed that she care and had a full understanding of how to help a small location grow to its fullest potential.

Weddingwire is a horrible deceitful website that won't let you comment in your own words. They keep reviewing the same posting and making me change it to make the vendor look better because vendors pay to advertise on there and they want vendors to look good. Then they just delete your review again and again by different weddingwire employees in hope's you'll just go away and remove the low rating posting.

Weddingwire how can you live with yourselves???

Shame on weddingwire for deceiving hard working people like this. Like it was bad enough a had to deal with the vendor and weddingwire is worse.

People deserve to know the truth about vendors they pay $$$$ for before they waste their hard earned money on them and weddingwire is deceiving people by not letting you post negative reviews in your own words!!!

I love advertising my business with Wedding Wire. It's the perfect platform to connect with engaged couples and other vendors in your area. I truely believe you get what you put into it. If you follow up and make a connection with your leads, then you will definitely get your marketing investment back. It's also great tool to have in case social media shuts down, or if you're tired of always chasing that algorithm to get more followers. Wedding Wire does all the hard work for you and brings the business to you! I absolutely love my biz manager, Tamera. She is always there for me when I have a quick question, sharing tips, and working with my budget. I highly recommend putting your business on Wedding Wire.
